Nice house and nearly dead silent. I actually had a nap simply because it was so quiet there. It was amazing. House inside and out was clean and tidy. Had everything we needed.

Was greeted by a wolf spider in the middle if the floor as we arrived but a Italian man with a thong was faster. This isn't a bad thing but more an unavoidable Australian thing. Also on a serious note, in a few corners and in lights there was spider webs. Maybe just go around and clean them off. Other than that 10/10

We just loved this very spacious, original stone cottage. The construction meant it was naturally cool, so very little use of air-con was required. We were visiting our daughter and her partner and we really enjoyed being able to have them over for dinner and just relax together. The whole place was very well-equipped, with lots of thoughtful touches and yummy treats left for us. Only a short walk to one of Barossa's charming little townships.

Breakfast food was well stocked and delicious, and we loved the wine on arrival. Spa was great! Stunning location and very quiet. The bed was super-warm for a winter stay. We would definitely come back. Great value for money.

Really needed more kindling wood supplied to get the fire going, but once it was hot it was beautiful! Couch was ordinary, and we had some trouble getting the cd player to work for movie night.

We were delighted with the attention to detail to ensure our comfort, the generous provisions and resources, space and comfort. It was just what we needed after 2 weeks of travelling across three states. It was well located in the heart of Angaston. While communication was by email only, it was clear and helpful.

Like others found, the low lounge was hard to get out of (nitpicking!)

Very comfortable, great location.

Didn't like that I booked this for me and my friend from overseas only to find a note at the property saying if we booked this as a 'couple' it would cost $50 extra to use both beds. I don't think you can assume 2 people are a couple or this should have at least been mentioned prior to booking. We were also looking forward to eggs, bacon and tomatoes for breakfast as this was seen in the photos but had to buy our own bacon and tomatoes.

Location, all facilities and very clean, generous breakfast provisions and complimentary bottle of wine and plenty of firewood.

Very minor, no dishwashing tablets and empty coffee jar, very minor issue but the extra provisions truly made up for it.

Spa bath was lovely. Had a lovely cottage feel. It was a nice escape from city life. Quiet area. Breakfast was amazing, fresh produce, great taste.

The garden around the cottage needs some attention and the sitting room couches were uncomfortable especially for someone who is 7 months pregnant.

I had asked if the breakfast provisions could include GF as I am coeliac. We found 10 fresh eggs, bacon, GF and handmade bread, tomatoes, mushrooms, milk, juice, strawberries and a fruit basket. It was fabulous. The ground coffee was very welcome too. A very good and well informed booklet had all the information we needed, helpful maps , taxi numbers, and food ideas if we wanted them. We felt able to navigate ourselves around easily. Lots of little touches like the candles in the bathroom, sweets on our towels and in the bedside drawers, extra towels, bed linen etc, and the plushest bed. We were even given a bottle of wine from their vineyard which was wonderful. I couldn't think of anything that we wanted for . Everything was lovely. It was the quiet, pretty and tranquil retreat we needed after working at an event in the Barossa. Vicky even allowed a slightly later checkout on our last day as I had a migraine. She had checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable too. I will absolutely be back.

The mosquitoes outside made it hard to enjoy the porch, but there was insect spray. I am not a fan of spraying that outdoors, and it really was not a problem. Nothing about the Cottage was a problem or not to like. The taps in the shower do make a banging noise. I am aware that it happens in country areas, but just a heads up. You haven't broken them. 😂
