I recently stayed at this wonderful place and had a fantastic experience! The location was peaceful and serene, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. The beds were super comfy, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything I needed to cook a delicious meal. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy retreat!

While the location had its charm, the accommodations fell short in some areas. The fridge was surprisingly small, more like a bar fridge, and the freezer wasn't functional at all. Additionally, the building and decor were showing their age and could benefit from some renovation and modernization. A bit of a freshen-up would go a long way in improving the overall experience.

This motel is in a great location, just down the road from Bass Strait and easy to go everywhere we wanted to go while there. Very easy, helpful and friendly check in. Sparkly clean room, very comfortable beds and lovely hot shower. Well equipped with crockery and cutlery. Shops were easy to find and not very far away. Great car park with plenty of room to manoeuvre the car and reverse park at the door. Having a washing machine and dryer onsite was wonderful and much appreciated. Free Wi-Fi was also very much appreciated. Well laid out Family Room, a separate bedroom for the children was great.

Room 24 is a lovely peaceful oasis with plenty of space and everything I needed to recover from a back injury over 5 days. I really loved the writing desk and chairs, decent reading lights, comfy reading sofa, great bed. Very close to the maritime museum for excellent lunches, and gentle walks along the river. Car parking at the door was helpful. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

I’d appreciate better quality toilet paper, but otherwise it was perfect.

Comfy room with a couch, bed and dining table with chairs, fridge, cutlery and crockery, everything you need. Beds had just been upgraded which were very comfortable. Dave, who runs the Comfort Inn, is a top bloke, really helpful and grateful to have spent some time talking with him. Perfect location for the beach, the town is about a 15 - 20 minute walk. Would stay again if I was in Devonport. Cheers, Dave!

The room was great value for money. Cosy, warm and execptionaly clean. The bathroom was absolutley sparkling. Well appointed with small fridge, coffee and toaster. It suited our needs for the weekend. Close to amenities restaurants, cafes and shops. In a lovely position not far from the water front. . The manager of the hotel was very helpful and friendly.

The staff were great - I sent an e-mail before arriving to enquire about mattress firmness and got a good response very quickly. The manager also rang me when I was away from my room to ask if I'd like a microwave seeing as I would be there for a few days. I've never had that kind of service/thoughfulness before. And a coffee maker with pods - if my husband had been with me, he would have been very grateful. I don't drink coffee but know how much something like this is appreciated by those who do. It was probably the cleanest room I've ever been in, and even though the decor was 1990s, it was in immaculate condition. And the towels were really soft and fluffy, with lovely soft bed linen too.

A mattress upgrade to something with a cushion top is in order. People who need some "give" in a mattress to contour for curves or injury or arthritis really need something a bit more cushioned. But because I received a reply to my query on this, I was able to pack a foam cover and was prepared - which wasn't perfect, but certainly made my sleep quality better than it would otherwise have been. People who like firm mattresses can still sleep on softer ones, but the reverse, unfortunately, isn't true. The bed wasn't hard, but it was definitely medium to firm.

The room was comfortable and the bed was really comfortable. The water was lovely and hot and loved the dispensers of soap they were lovely.. I would recommend to friends to stay there. The towels were lovely and nice to have hand towel and bathmat as well as face washers, well done.

This is not a criticism but something you might want to consider. The draught under the door, there was quite a gap and was very cold. The shower could do with a grab rail as there is no where apart from the basin area to support yourself, as the shower can be very slippery.

To illustrate how clean it was: Sunday around 2 PM saw a cleaning girl wiping the outsides of doors down, not lazy.

We booked for 2 nights. The 1st was Saturday when there were a total of 8 Units occupied out of about 30. We were put right next door to a person who chain smoked outside his room. This smoke blew into our room through the mosquito net above the door. Also he watched TV almost all night. The walls are only 2 sheets of plaster so we could hear his TV. He did turn it down once I asked him to. Thoughtfulness in the office would have placed us one unit away from another guest. Of course the Sunday night was all booked out for travellers on the ferry for Monday morning so this comment only applies to when there are vacant units.

The friendly welcome. The quiet location is so peaceful. Close to the beach. Easy parking. Clean airy room. Fresh air to the ensuite. Comfortable bed, good lighting, a lounge to rest on and soft towels that absorb water easily. Very nice owners. Looking forward to our next stay at the Sunrise Motel.

Having to leave and go home. The weather and venue were just so good it was hard to say goodbye.

was a last minute booking , when i arrived the staff were having laptop issues.. they done their best to be speeding. ALL staff are amazing. had some car troubles n the staff were very helpful & patient. WOULD RECOMMEND

over all the property is awesome , no faults at all. no fan in bathroom (leading to it getting VERY steamy during shower)
