the staff were fantastic and the receptionist Jack who got my check in sorted had excellent service and really welcomed me well. the beds were comfortable and relaxing to sleep on, the showers were excellent to use, the room was perfectly clean and the house cleaners really know what they’re doing as they’re doing a brilliant job and will definitely recommend and comeback here again.

Didn t take the breakfast, wifi was on and off and disconnected a lot. some maintenance for the room I let the office known when i left, all good. May I make a special recommendation for Coleen, the Cleaning Team person who was looking after my room (8), Coleen was professional, knew quickly what i needed and not, please let her know she is doing a great work. thank you

Some tradies taking 4 or 5 carparks, some late commers who couldn t shut up late at night, banging door, without any respect for the customers asleep

Both in the pub and on arrival. Although reception very small. But awesome people inside the pub too. Great food, decent room for where it is, convenient little drive through coffee by day (toasties n all) , drive thru. by night!

Everything, room was clean, and customer service was lovely friendly and inviting. Room size was perfect nothing to complain about.

Must thank Henry and the team for looking after my group that stayed here for a special occasion motorcycle ride. We were looked after from the time we made our bookings to the moment that last empty plate was collected. Nothing was a problem!! I organised pre-ordering of our meals to meet our timeline and all meals arrived on schedule with NOT one complaint on quality. Being in an industrial area, there is a steady stream of road noise and that is the only downside.

I liked everything about this motel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was super clean and the bed was very comfortable. There is a pub,bottle shop and coffee place right out the front or the motel. I will definitely be staying again in the future.

The staff at The Guiding Star hotel were amazing- warm, friendly and only too happy to help with any request I had for my stay. Jack helped me out with my request for a late night check in ensuring I had all my room details before arrival and I arrived to a room where care had been taken to ensure it was warm for me when I got in late at night- Thanks again Jack! Whilst the area is industrial and there are a few trucks around as stated in other reviews, personally that was not an issue and I found my room to be clean, comfortable and enough for somewhere I was happy to base myself and easy to navigate my way from. This accommodation was perfect for my needs and I will definitely stay here again- highly recommend!

This is not a criticism but more of a suggestion I would make which is a "Do not disturb" sign for the rooms although Michael at reception was only too happy to note this on their system for when I requested it and ensured housekeeping staff were aware.
