The balcony and alcove sitting area. The wine bottle serving water. Watching a movie in the evening with a good TV. Cosy but I need to come back in winter to experience the fire.

A recliner would have been more comfortable than the low sofa. Serving supper or some kind of meal would have been lovely..to sit and eat at the front window...Would have been nice to have your own tea coffee milk etc in your own room! There is a huge spa at the front which no one uses...would have loved to soak in that.

I was pleasantly surprised with the apartment that I had. It had a lovely bay view and was tastefully decorated. The kitchen and bathroom were updated to a high standard. The breakfast basket was nicely prepared. It had everything in it that my wife and I needed to start the day. The bread and jams were especially tasty and the yogurts an excellent addition. Having it on the balcony was a real treat!

There was nothing I didn't like.

The location is in a quaint little suburb, away from the buzz of CBD. It's a beautiful apartment, overlooking the dock lined with yachts.We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment on the first floor , which was tastefully decorated, with attention to detail for all comforts. We had an enjoyable stay and the host , Melissa was very warm, helpful and kind. It's a beautiful, cozy home away from home, with warmth and so much charm and the fireplace in the living adds to the classy touch .

Can't think of anything which was out of place or didn't like.

Light breakfast provided - heaps of bread for toast, cereal, milk, yoghurt and orange juice Great spot - close to shopping precinct, heaps of great eating places near by, view across the yacht club. Fireplace came in handy as cold in evening, electric blankets and heaters. Had everything we needed and we would have loved to stay longer.

Nothing to dislike - is old house and feels and looks like old property. Anyone looking for modern interior will be disappointed.

We stayed in a clean and spacious two bedroom apartment run by Captain’s Retreat. It had everything we needed and was within walking distance to shops/cafes. The host was extremely friendly and hospitable taking the time to let us know about local sites and surrounds and making great recommendations.

We stayed in two different apartments over the fortnight. The Art Deco apartment in Ferguson St. was brilliant! Close to Town. Decor very appropriate for the era of the apartment. Very comfortable beds, really good shower in bathroom. Had everything we needed. We also spent some of the time in another apartment at the other end of Williamstown by Gem Harbour. This was on the 8th floor, very modern, open plan with beautiful views across the Yarra towards Melbourne City - stunning. Very comfortable beds. We really enjoyed our stay in both apartments. Narelle from Captains Retreat went out of her way to help us transport our luggage and providing us with everything we needed. She was determined that we were going to have a good holiday and we did.

We absolutely loved our little getaway at Captains Retreat Apartments, the service was incredible. The place was beautiful, quaint, clean and toasty warm with the gas fire. Enjoying the big bath at the end of the day was also a real treat. The place had so much character, we loved hearing all the stories about the history of the place from the very friendly host Jessie too, we loved it so much we will definitely come back!

The only thing that was a little annoying was being woken up in the night by one of the other guests who was locked out (by another guest). But otherwise we couldn’t fault our stay.

The apartment was very well appointed and in a quiet convenient location. Very nice to have breakfast included and lovely baked treats.

The friendly warm greeting we received upon arrival made us feel extremely welcome.The fireplace in the tea room was a real treat, the tea and coffee corner was well stocked ( even had soy milk) and inviting. Our stay was short, but very peaceful. We definately wished for a few more days. We found the Captains Retreat to be super quiet and beautifully restful. And the bed with it's big inviting pillows was extremely comfortable . If we ever visit the delightful suburb of Williamstown again, we wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Captains Retreat.

The information folder in the room was in desperate need of an update and refresh. It held very little information - i.e current brochures, about town info, restaurants, etc. But most noticeable was the lack of information in the folder about the lovely old building (Captains Retreat) and Williamstown itself.

Greeted promptly by hosts with a hamper of breakfast supplies. Ideal location to the bay & local bars & restaurants. Old school charm & amazing views across the bay, from the balcony, to the city & surrounds.

Only small issue was some of the blinds in lounge couldn’t be adjusted so we could soak up the city views from inside.
