I have been at Mercure Melbourne Park before and wanted to try it again as it was in a peaceful area yet close to transport and also had a gym. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. Seared salmon with cherry tomatoes and an awesome sauce was great at Windows restaurant. Wine was delicious. Good location which is close to Chapel street. Room was very quiet, spacious and clean, and had good desk space; having a small lounge was a bonus. Very good value.

Room temperature couldn't be adjusted and was a little cool. Cross trainer equipment at the gym didn't work.

The buffet breakfast far exceeded my expectations. I travel around Australia a fair bit for work and this was one of the best buffet breakfasts I've had given the price point of a 3-4 star hotel. Part of the reason is they share the restaurant with Pullman Resort which is a 5 star hotel. So really, one is getting a 5 star equivalent breakfast for staying in a lesser hotel. A few examples - apart from the standard juices (OJ, pineapple, etc.), they had a yoghurt smoothie drink and also a detox drink (Kale,Celery, all things green). They had chia pudding as an option in addition to 2 types of yoghurt and porridge (muesli/oats). Scrambled eggs were very creamy and not overcooked/chunky (consistent quality across both days I stayed there). Could also request eggs done other ways. Bacon was well sauteed. Not a great selection of hot food, but had the standard items. Had a nice section for cold meats, cheese and salad as well.

Location wasn't the best for dinner options outside the hotel.

Good-sized, well-presented room. Good buffet breakfast. Nice pool area. Convenient for trams too City or St Kilda.

I got the impression that housekeeping resources may be a little stretched. One day, I was out of my room by 11:45 but the room still had not been serviced by the time I returned after 21:30 in the evening even though the sign was on the door for the room to be cleaned. To their credit, the Front Desk put this right immediately when I reported it to them.

The Hotel was very nice and has excellent for access to get from your room to the conference center with ease, this was also the case to the facilities as well, restaurant, exercise center, and so on. The front foyer lounge, sitting areas and cafes within the premises was great and very covenant indeed. The bed was extremely comfortable and was as described (was not 2 singles put together) other facilities were great and i can't fault all of the staff that I came into contact with, and were more than accommodating in all aspects indeed. The view to the lake was very nice indeed and was quite clean and tidy.

there was nothing worth to mention. for the room, however i will say that despite the quality of the food for room service was possibly excellent if it was still warm / hot when it arrived at the room, the price for this access was considered to be extremely excessive - I understand that there should be a a relative increase for the service, but then the product should be 'on point' for such a cost.

Prompt room service. Spacious double queen bed room. Dark blockout curtains meant good sleep in. Close walk to park. Indoor swimming pool & spa was great for being with the children after a day out. Long hours of pool & a later than usual checkout time.

Parking costs extra per day during the stay. Couldn’t see that any windows open in the room we had. The room service menu online didn’t match what was available to order online for the kids (maybe due to two hotel brands) so another added cost (no kids deals were available)

Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Bar staff very friendly. Nice foyer bar, with tasty bar snacks. Good selection at the breakfast buffet. Attended a convention, grand ballroom and state rooms, good spaces. Comfortable beds, only one pillow each, but staff delivered extra to the room when asked without issue.

Not a dislike, but room was very small and basic. Had booked 2 standard kings - one of us had a large room with a sofa, coffee table and large bathroom (1st floor) The other was very small with only space for a bed, small bathroom and no full length mirror (5th floor) However, we were able to get a move to a better room on the 4th night (booked at the hotel when our flight was cancelled) Very limited selection of food at the restaurant with only 3 buffet style dishes offered (1 main, 1 vegetarian and one side)

Restaurant meal and drink choice, quality of food and service, the kids meals were very generous. Pool was a winner with the kids to unwind as well as the excellent hours available for it the beds were very comfortable finding our way around the hotel was very easy buffet breakfast was delicious, the kids price was reasonable.

the receptionist was not very helpful, did not give us an information sheet explaining meal choices etc or how to access our rooms, it appeared an inconvenience when I asked. One room wasn't ready for us although it was 2:15pm and check in is at 2pm. The concierge were very helpful however. Checkout was a frustrating process and took much longer than it should have.

Reviews said the breakfast was "good" however my mother and I found the breakfast "fantastic". Service was exceptional on most days of our 6 day stay. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and helped us to use the coffee machine, which was terrific.

Initially we asked for blankets as we were very cold - and although warm, these were very old. I wasn't too pleased about their condition, so recommend investment in some new ones.

The staff were fantastic. We travelled with our toddler, who is well behaved but is a toddler so needs to constantly be on the move. The staff were all very professional, friendly and welcoming as we made our way around the hotel, often speaking to our toddler directly or quickly playing peek a boo. This really made a world of difference as we worked to keep our toddler content and travel friendly.

Our towels had holes in them and the bathroom taps fell apart when we used them. They are just getting a bit old.

Lovely room with lots of space. Always excellent breakfast, and the restaurant was lovely too. Outstanding position - convenient to so many things. I had a great stay.

Surprising lack of power points in the lounge and bedroom. I bought and used a powerboard, though, which solved the problem. I left it there on vacating; not sure what became of it! Hopefully it's still there, so the next people staying don't have to unplug either the kettle or the fridge to connect anything else. (For me, it was my laptop.)
