Great location as we were visiting friends close by. The lobby was very welcoming smelt gorgeous and the flowers, staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was big, with a big walk in shower. The beds were so comfy and bedding was good. Toiletries were spa quality. E had everything in the room we needed including a good mini bar but we didn't use it. We were room only but had breakfast one morning downstairs which was really nice too. I would say 5 star hotel rather than 4 and great price.

Everything was brill. Only one slight moan is around 6am every morning there seemed to be a noise from the water tank or something but was perfect otherwise and sure it can't be helped.

the Prince is right in the heart of St Kilda. It is a lovely art deco building and I very much enjoyed staring at the moulded ceiling in the bar. The events and public areas have been really nicely restored and are elegant and inviting , the garden area is central and the greenery can be seen elsewhere in the building Wine and food were great , staff lovely and it felt a bit like going down to the local pub. Sitting outside the pub in the sun on colder days was bonus.

The rooms have been nicely renovated and are pleasant and clean. Staff who came to clean were pleasant and di a good job. Bed and bedding very comfortable but our room had limited outside views which made it a bit claustrophobic. Best use has been used of small space. Some of the furniture in bedrooms and reception area were a little old or stained.

The location is perfect, close to tram stop, a short walk to the beach, shops and the event I was attending at the Palais Theatre. The room was meticulously clean, the bed was comfortable and the room had everything I needed for my short stay. The lovely young lady on the front reception desk was just delightful and helpful. Another big bonus was staff at The Prince were very easy to contact. I will most definitely stay here again if I come to Melb/St. Kilda for another concert at The Palais Theatre.

All good nothing to dislike.

A beautiful stay with all the small touches. Went to the restaurant and an incredible meal along with a coffee that made a great start to my day. Location was perfect and the staff were extremely helpful. Will stay again!

The only thing that I didn't like was that it was quite difficult to move my bags from the car to my room, as there were several steps. I did have a lot of luggage due to work, which in normal circumstances wouldn't be a problem.

The LOCATION TOPS everything else that was also amazing about the hotel. Two main tram stations right at front, next to st Kilda beach had 2 restaurants 2 bars in the hotel. The room was so well equipped, It even have Sonos bluetooth speakers for music. Toiletries including bathrobes!

The event hall was booked out nearly every night with weddings and other late night events that could get a little noisy if your room is around the hall.

We stayed in an executive room with a balcony and lovely ensuite. The bed was the most comfy hotel bed I have ever slept in. Loved the drink voucher thanks

The only thing I would say was it was a little pricey. We paid more than everyone else we were travelling with, and when I questioned it, it was because we apparently booked an executive suite. We did love the balcony and if the beds are better than the standard room, Id highly recommend, cos it was so comfy!

Great location, the staff were exceptional particularly in the bar and restaurant. The building was very well renovated.

The bed was very uncomfortable large dip in the middle. Only 1 chair for the dinning table in a double room and no where to put your luggage other than the floor. Perhaps a couple of hooks in the bathroom wouldn't go astray either.

Great location, our daughter lives only 100m away, very clean and spacious, lovely bathroom and facilities, comfy bed, nice and bright room. Didn't get the use the restaurant but it looked lovely. Came to attend Lightscape at the Botanical Gardens, which was an easy tram ride from the hotel.

Had some issues working out the temperature control but nothing serious. Also couldn't work out the key - didn't realise we just had to scan the card.

I hadn’t seen many pictures of the rooms online so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but wow, the whole hotel was so beautiful. Upon arriving we were blown away by the lobby alone and then to my complete surprise, we were upgraded from a superior queen suite to a premier suite and were given two free drink cards. Such a lovely way to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday — he was very impressed by my hotel choice. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and we thoroughly enjoyed the free drinks that we got from the bar. I will definitely be recommending the Prince to my friends and family.

The friendly staff made check in a breeze. Although the bar downstairs was busy it was always quiet in our room and we had no noise disturbance. We asked for some extra teabags and milk and this was quickly brought up to our room. Much appreciated. We had dinner and breakfast at the dining area attached to the bar which was enjoyable. The easy access to public transport was fabulous as there is a tram stop diagonally across the road form the hotel which will take you to the city and beyond. We didn't experience any noise issues from this.

We prefer the option of a blanket instead of a doona as doonas make us too hot.
