Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, being gluten Intolerant I didn't expect much choice (usually fruit & yoghurt, if I'm lucky, many places just coffee) but I found a choice of G/F cereal & toast as well as fruit & yoghurt, definitely a plus. The staff were caring, I booked as my husband was having surgery at a nearby hospital, they offered 24 hr assistance if I needed it (their room number & reception out of hours phone number) plus letting me know my room would be available if I needed to extend my stay. 10/10 all round ! For anyone attending Maryvale Private Hospital the location is perfect.

Nothing, everything was totally satisfactory

I've stayed here a number of times now when needing to be in the area, and it's a great find. Super clean, very comfortable beds, staff are great and so many nice touches and attention to detail in the rooms. Plus, they have a great focus on good sustainable practices (i.e. milk comes in re-usable glass bottles, refillable soap, shampoo etc and 'who gives a crap' toilet paper). Breakfast is very extensive as well, particularly given the price point.

There is one sink that's outside the bathroom, that's at the main mirror where you get ready, so it tends to be an area for the sink, getting ready and any food prep/washing dishes, and the sink is a shallow bathroom sink. However a tiny consideration in all that's great about this place :)

It was a beautiful decorated room _ so lovely. OMG the king bed was sublime as were the hygeine products supplied. The spare blanket was hygienically kept in a seperate bag. The location for us was perfect as we visited Walhalla Historic Town and enjoyed the train ride. It was near the Tarra Bulga NP which we visited and Yarrum to see the Silo Art. IT was walking distance to some chinese restaurants and a hotel where meals were really good. The Morwell Rose Garden was nice and the shopping complex big and modern. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

Great central location. A couple doing their best to provide a quality experience in challenging economic times. Going above and beyond the normal standard for a country motel. Exceptionally clean rooms that have been renovated. Great beds and an included breakfast that was not expected. Communication also excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Outside lights under veranda are very bright and light enters room over the top of the curtains.

Had a delightful stay at this motel! Impressed by the meticulous attention to detail—charming furniture, a snug bed, and the thoughtful touch of refillable, high-quality soap and shampoo. The fridge stocked with milk in glass bottle and a neatly packed spare blanket added a homey touch. As a seasoned traveler and motel cleaner, I truly appreciated the cleanliness and tidiness. Kudos to the friendly staff who accommodated an early breakfast so we could hit the road promptly. Many thanks for a wonderful experience!

Breakfast was a lovely surprise. The hosts , who were relief managers were exceptional and always ready to help with anything. When there was a minor problem they attended to it promptly. The beds were very comfortable.

Really need USB ports in rooms for charging phones etc. As a cheap solution buy bedside lamps with built in usb ports. That was a drawback. No sink in the bathroom but that didn't really have much of an impact on our stay.

The receptionist was excellent, he let me now the room was ready early. The room was a good size plenty of room, very clean. Coffee machine and pods, biscuits and some chocolates. Very good size fridge, very comfortable bed. Very good atmosphere in the room. Excellent shower with good pressure. The complimentary Continental breakfast was excellent, plenty to choose from and plenty of it. Very good position, it would be among the best Motels we have stayed at. WiFi was very good quick and very easy to connect.

So thoughtfully furnished and put together, most of the larger chains could learn a thing or two from Morwell Motel. Full sized fridge, microwave and kettle means you have plenty of potential for food options out of hours. Hardwood floors which were great if you've been hiking or biking and don't want to worry about making a mess. Close to train station and shops, and breakfast included was an awesome time saver!

Might be worth bringing ear plugs, a few ambulances/police went past as its off the main road.

The rooms have been renovated to a comfortable modern standard, with everything we needed. The included breakfast was a great bonus, especially since it was available in a special breakfast room, and the choices were excellent. Our room was spacious and we appreciated having 2 armchairs. There's a small full sized fridge with a proper freezer. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Plenty of hot water in the shower, and lovely toiletries. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Noise leakage from adjoining rooms. Our room had an insubstantial connecting door to the next room, with a gap at the base. We could easily hear people talking. When someone from the adjoining rooms went out of their door, the entire frontage of the room shook. We had asked particularly for a quiet room, so it would have been great to be accommodated in a room without neighbours, perhaps upstairs. The motel was not fully booked.

The room is an old room that was updated. It had everything you could need. Toaster, kettle, pod coffee maker, full sized fridge, microwave. The beds and pillows were so comfortable! I had the best sleep. Breakfast was amazing, everything was so beautifully set up. English muffins, bread, croissants, danishes, cereals, coffee, yoghurt and fruit.

There was a window at the end of the room which was broken, it has obviously not closed in a very long time. This on a very cold night would end up costing a lot of money in heating, as the window did not close and the frame had a hole. The good thing was that we were able to close the blinds to minimise the problem. This would not discourage me from staying here again as it was still a fabulous motel for the price.
