Clean, friendly staff. Ideal location. Nice quiet garden for residents - for a drink or meal, as well as tables on the street if you wanted the street life. Breakfast was fine for this size hotel - a good spread but not full 4* hotel choice. Dinner was excellent and even a smaller portion was produced when my wife said she could not manage the usual generous portion. Fan in room - weather was very hot.

The bathroom was up about 5 steps from the bedroom. As is normal in Austria there is no air conditioning and it was about 32C when we were there. There was a fan in the room though - without asking. So that's positive.

The room was big, comfortable and very clean. The bed was comfyand we had a really good night sleep. The staff were so nice and helpful, Joseph in particular was so funny and welcoming, it made us want to come back just to see him again. In addition, the restaurant is without a doubt the best in Austria - everything was delicious, far more than any other Austrian restaurants throughout our trip. The location is great, right in the middle of the altstadt, a few minutes walk from the Abby, and the fact that they offer free parking is also very nice. Would definitely come back again.

Small hotel, but with excellent services, located in the medieval center of Melk. I liked everything: the comfortable room, the classic bathroom with a bathtub, many channels on TV; breakfast exceeded my expectations, being very varied, including omelette with ham; extremely friendly and solicitous staff. Do not miss a dinner at the restaurant on the ground floor, although it is quite difficult to find a free table in the evening, which says everything about the quality of the products and services.

The owner runs a hotel and top-rated restaurant. It is thus convenient to try some good local foods. However, our server asked 10% tips, which is unusual in Europe. The included breakfast is exceptionally good for a small family-run hotel like this one. Our room is clean and comfortable. In consideration of price, location and convivence, I highly recommend this hotel.

he insulation between rooms is not as good as chain hotels. We could hear conversations of our neighbor. Fortunately, they went to bed about the same time as we did.

The accomodation is an excellent choice for a stay in Melk - two steps away from Melk Abbey, right in the center of the village, among many choices of restaurants, having its own restaurant and parking. The room was spacious and clean, with a view of the Abbey (room no 2). The brekfast was excellent and the staff very polite. If ever in Melk again, we will definetly stay here again.

If I were the owner, I would get rid of the ugly red armchairs in the room (their time is gone).

We booked one night because we wanted a place on our way from Vienna to Salzburg. Not really expecting anything. We got a beautiful and very large room that fit perfectly to or family (2+3). the room was spot clean, the stuff was very friendly, there is a private parking and the location inside Melk is perfect. We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was great!

Owner and staff were very helpful, welcoming and happy to laugh. great size room, comfortable bed, good bathroom, fridge etc, free parking and breakfast included. The Keller restaurant downstairs was wonderful. We ate there both nights, great size meals and good beer with them. A must stay in Melk

We enjoyed the accomodation, but what we liked the most was the restaurant. We met a waiter who entertained us and explained the dishes and seasonal ingredients used. The food quality was top notch, extremely tasty. I would go back to Melk just for this restaurant and I am not exaggerating. The staff overall was nice and accomodating.

I had to ask for an electric kettle to make a cup of tea, I was surprised at the absemce of this but the manager was very helpful in providing me one. It was very authentic and in the middle of town with lovely view.

The breakfast was very ordinary, nothing else really. It was appropriate for a small town

Tranquil, relaxed environment. Good food, beer and service. Safe, convenient parking. Easy walking. Friendly staff.

Single control for all interior lights meant either all on or all off, no reading light in separate space. Very steep access from parking lot, no elevator; too many stairs for elderly patrons to negotiate with luggage.
