A few things you need to know: - the location is excellent, right in the city centre. This means, that you can go for a lovely dinner and beer in the evening, and then walk back to the hotel, which is AMAZING. This also means, that there is a bit of parking issue in the city centre, so you can park in some of nearby garages, which means 49 EURO/day parking fee, or you will spend some time looking for a parking place which is not reserved (and this is possible only on weekends, because on weekdays, ALL the places are reserved for someone or something). We were there for a weekend, so after some time, we found a perfect parking place free of charge. - the apartment we had was spacious and clean, but WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING. This might be an issue in summer with a small child (our case). I strongly believe, that this information is written in the room description, but I simply wouldn't expect a 4* hotel in Vienna centre without air conditioning. - as we spend a lot of time in hotels while traveling, I can honestly say that the mattress was not the best in the world, but it was possible to sleep on it. - when you go to the apartment, you go through the reception, into a big dark corridor of a residential house, where the elevator is located, and it takes you upstairs, to your apartment. It is ok, but you don't feel like being in a hotel, it rather looks like an airbnb apartment. - the receptionist was very kind and helpful. - everything was clean, smelling good and working well. - the room view was into the courtyard, which means it was very pleasantly quiet at night. Great for sleeping. SUMMARY: If you want a real 4* hotel in the centre of Vienna, you have to pay more money. If you don't want to pay more money (our case), this can be a good price/value deal.

The location of the hotel is perfect.. just a 10 minute walk to St Stephen cathedral, which is the heart of Vienna and walking distance to almost all main attractions. The staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was nice with a good choice of fresh food options.

We were a bit disappointed that the mugs were not washed daily and we were not given replacement of tea. The cleaning was not 100% to our expectations.

Awesome hotel, great staff they are friendly and willing to help and it worth mention that young lady who was working on Sunday night was so kind helping us with my son injury from her own 1st kit when she noticed that hotels first aid plaster wasn’t good fit for his injury. Really appreciate that and sorry I can’t recall her name. It won’t be last time visiting this hotels Finally it was good value for money in comparison to all what I have found in Vienna after deep analysis and reading detailed reviews.

Pillow are too thin and uncomfortable at all

We are staying at this hotel for the fourth time. The hotel is located almost in the center of the tourist sites, easy access from the airport and back by train S7 /REF/CAT TO THE METRO STATION and only one stop to the hotel /green line/, lovely room, very nice staff, clean perfect, beautiful old property, the room had a coffee machine and all accessories, a refrigerator, a safe - free of charge, disposable slippers. Good biocosmetics, Cleaning daily, without causing inconvenience to residents. Near the restaurant with delicious schnitzels. Across the road is a McDonald's and a Spar supermarket where you can eat cheaply. Transport is nearby and the central location to many attractions is the icing on the cake! Absolutely family run and recommended hotel, warm greetings and a big thank you to all the team at Hotel Am Schubertring, we felt very comfortable and would like to come back right away

unfortunately still no mini bar

The room was clean and the view from my room was really nice as it was overseeing Schubertring. In my room the toilet was in a seperate room from the rest of the bathroom. The staff is friendly in most areas and the cleaning is good.

1 towel was left over from the previous guests on the heater in the room (behind the curtain). They shifted my reservation somehow and the fact that I had booked my room with breakfast was lost on the way and the first morning I was told that I didn't have breakfast and it was not communicated by one of the staff members the best possible way but thankfully the other staff member came up to us and sorted this.

This one was so cute - old style hotel smack bang in the centre of Vienna, within walking distance of so many attractions and quite a few cafes and restaurants. Breakfast selection wasn't huge but it was adequate and fresh. The rooms are all on the top floor and the layout is a bit of a maze but we didn't mind. The room we got was quiet and clean. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful, and the hotel dog was the unexpected and much appreciated bonus!

The hotel could possibly do with a tiny bit of a refresh but hey, old hotel in an old town.

Very cosy and comfy hotel.Lovely ornate reception , no bar, but because of excellent location ,plenty of bars around ,as well as across the road from one of the oldest coffee houses in Vienna. (Also round the corner from Opera house ) Three of us girls shared a room ,which was very big ,very clean and had super single beds.Great bathroom and shower. We didn't have breakfast there, but next door is a bakery called Anker ,where you could pick up morning goods, sandwiches coffees etc. Across the road is "Schitzel love restaurant" which looked great but we missed out on visiting, due to so much to do in beautiful Vienna. The staff were lovely too

Can't think of anything.

We loved the spaciousness of the room. We had a double bed and a single bed in one part of the room and then a separate room with a double bed. Two bathrooms! A full size closet with shelves. We LOVED the location! And the breakfast was both warm foods (eggs/sausage/baked beans) and continental choices. We had no issue with noise from other rooms. We would really recommend this for people who are not wanting to stay at the Ritz down the street.

There was nothing we didn't like. It was delightful staying at this property.

The hotel is close to the city park, Kursalon, the metro and tram stations. It's placed perfectly near the old city center. You have a mall, a Macdonalds, a bakery and s supermarket nearby. The hotel building is old, but it's renovated, clean and well kept. The lobby was cozy and the rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. We had a Nesspresso coffee machine, a safe box and a small fridge in our room. The breakfast was adequate for its price. The staff was nice and helpful.

This is not a biggie, but FYI. The lobby is on the first floor and the rooms are on the last floor (the whole 4th floor). It's an old renovated building and getting to your room the first couple of times, felt like walking through a maze (although there're signs). You get used to. It's not going to change. Just don't be surprised .
