Offers lots of facilities like swimming pool, lake and various types of sauna. Really enjoyed with stay in steam and hot sauna. There were no other guests in these facilities so it was nice to enjoy alone. Breakfast were very good with a view to the lake. Room offered very nice view to the mountains. Possibly would come back to this hotel but without a teenager....

The room looked renovated but not too modern, however provided cover all demands. Internet connection was often dropping in the room. Our teenager and us did not felt comfortable since we did not new about unmentioned surprise at the beach...

This was a perfect idyll for us & we stayed as long as we could on our check out day before travelling to our next destination. We stayed ~30 hours & had all 3 meals there. The room itself was nice. We had one of the newly renovated modern ones & it was very well made. I could see the evidence of ongoing renovation work & incomplete areas mentioned by some other reviews in the preceding weeks and several parts were in progress, but the pace must be quick because we had no interruptions or problems caused by the work at all. It was easy to enjoy ourselves with the construction happening elsewhere. The garden is an incredible lifetime's work that gets sunshine all day & the hotel is effectively on a private lake. We learned unexpectedly that the sunbathing is nude (FKK), which should be made more apparent on Booking.com but we saw a small minority with clothes & people generally limited conversation to people they knew. It was very relaxing with a friendly atmosphere, with plenty of space for all guests; local regulars as well as hotel guests. Hourly sauna aufguss (incense aromatics) in daytime was a highlight. Food at the restaurant was excellent, but note that food orders should be done by 8pm, as kitchen closes at 9pm even though restaurant closes at 10pm. Breakfast was plenty. It was a bit basic compared with some other places we stayed, but satisfying. Family run with longstanding staff makes for a personal touch & they're rightly proud of the place.

The lake isn't ideal for swimming, as there's lots of plants (reeds of some sort, or algae) that tended to clog up the water. But many people went for a quick dip to cool down & there was also rakes to clear the water. On the other hand, the free paddleboards (if you can find a paddle) made relaxing more chilled than worrying about hire times. The beds themselves were with soft mattresses, which may not be for some but we slept well.

The hotel is located right at the small lake and had a good restaurant. We reserved a table in advance. I would recommend steaks from Irish beef. Unfortunately, we missed the opportunity to visit a sauna. Perhaps next time. There is an exit from the sauna to the lake.

The room was small for 2 of us plus a kid. There is a limited amount of parking places. We were lucky to get one.

The staff were happy and friendly. The food was good, the breakfast was very nice, various choices and all fresh and enjoyable. The bed was comfortable and the room a decent size.

Could have done with a fan in the bedroom. Not sure if there is a possibility of mosquitoes as it's on a lake so having the window open at night was not so inviting.

Loved the sauna experience! Unique in its own way. The rest was clean and pleasant. The personnel was very helpful and polite.

The pillow was too tall and was uncomfortable for my neck. Everything else was alright!

Nice and large room, nice view, room overlooking the lake, quiet place, rich and varied breakfast, new elevator although there are only three floors

The mattress was too soft and the pillows too high, some disposable slippers would have been good

Good value for money. Very nice food in restaurant, helpful staff. Fantastic views from the window over small lake - great swimming experience in August - water is nice and warm.

A bit far from station (20 mins walk) and town-centre - 30 mins, bus operates ones an hour, but just till 6pm. No air cond. Most of the people on hotel's beach are nude what could be shocking for non-locals )

Nice large room with a nice view over a small lake. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The feel was a little dated, but met all of our needs. There was ample parking and even a space specifically reserved for motobikes in front of the entrance.

The food in the restaurant was terrible. We chose the hotel knowing it was slightly outside of the centre of Villach as we wanted to be able to park our motorbikes safely. Knowing that there was a restaurant on site made the decision even easier because it meant we could relax and have a couple of drinks while enjoying dinner and the view. But the food was overpriced and underwhelming. As an example, we ordered grilled octopus, which should be tender and with some charring. Instead, we got slimy, rubbery tubes (that seemed more like they had been boiled than grilled) covered in so much garlic they were almost inedible. The service was friendly, however. The breakfast was also quite average and seemed largely to be comprised of products sourced from Lidl.

I liked the hotel restaurant because of the food and pleasant atmosphere. Luckily for us the weather was excellent, so we sat at meals on the edge of the beautiful lake.

Spartan bathroom. Minimal space for toiletries.
