The location was perfect in the Old Town - ideal for exploring all that Baku had to offer. The breakfasts were lovely as were the dinners the few times we ate in the restaurant. The staff were very polite, courteous and helpful, particularly the girls on the reception and the waiters. We loved it here!

We were a bit disappointed that the health spa wasn’t open, and the garden was a bit scruffy and could have done with a tidy up. It was a shame as it would have been nice to sit out there but both places looked like a building site!

So many excellent things: the staff, especially Yulia, Yusuf and Emir were excellent, very helpful, English speaking and responsive. We left at 3.30am for an early return flight the staff organised a packed breakfast for us! The rooms were an excellent size; good breakfast variety; restaurant staff were very good, the views from the restaurant over the Flame Towers and from the third floor very relaxing balcony garden were simply outstanding. The hamam and sauna are free for guests, just book it in advance. Bottles of water are provided daily and more available on request. The location is excellent, the decor is beautiful. We had a very comfortable stay.

The location is a bit of an uphill cobbled walk from Fountain Square, ok for young people but hard work a few times a day for older people. If getting a taxi order it from the Içerişehir metro station which is nearer to the hotel. Don't tug the bedroom curtains as they came off the hooks quite a few times. The breakfast plates were all chipped but replaced immediately the next day after we raised this. The breakfast area floor could do with a good clean.

I would agree with the majority of reviewers that the hotel is a good choice primarily for its location, however I must mention that the property is situated on an incline path on your trip back from Nizami street.

again I share the opinion of the others that the breakfast was way below expectations. It needs an intervention. Moreover, for some reasons the taxi drivers find difficulties in locating it !!

Wonderful hotel in beautiful Old Town! Super friendly staff, great large rooms, very clean. Amazing roof top terrace with restaurant that serves breakfast , lunch and dinner. Food is amazing and the view stunning. They have s great business work area as well. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay there again.

They do not serve alcohol but its no problem because they let you bring your own.

I had a fantastic stay at the Shirvanshah Hotel. Really good location (old city) and close to metro station. Good size of the room with comfortable bed and great amenities. Restaurant area located on the 4th floor where you can get a stunning view of the city. Breakfast was good and varied. Least but not last big thank you for all staff who made my stay memorable especially Emil the hotel manager and the night receptionist gentleman. I will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Location is in the heart of Old City. Staff was approachable and friendly. Mineral water bottles are available from the reception free of charge. It is possible to order takeaway meals from the restaurant at Level 4 and consume inside the room.

Facilities were a little old. Windows, curtains and wardrobe were broken even though still functional. There was too much softener added in the bathroom water, resulting in soap unable to rinse off completely with water. Not sure if this problem is due to city utility supply or the hotel itself. Traffic access around Old City was heavily restricted during the F1 race period. Caused inconvenience in transferring to and fro the airport.

The location was great, close to metro, city, tourist attractions. The day time receptionist (short female) was great at customer service. She always greeted me and asked if I need anything such as room services and etc. Room was great size with comfortable bed. Overall, I liked this place except the midnight shift receptionist trying to scam me was very unprofessional. *Bonus tip* There is no extra fees/taxes in Baku, all prices included with local tax!

The midnight shift receptionist (MALE-forgot his name) tried to scam me upon my arrival. He told me that I paid room charges via online but the online system does not charge/collect taxes and local fees, so I did not pay taxes/fees. Therefore, he has to collect taxes on my total and he asked me to pay him. I was tired from long flight and was very shocked when he tried to scam me. Then, I pulled my receipt and it stated the price included all taxes and local fees. He immediately changed the subject and did not mention anything about extra payments such as "local fees/taxes" Breakfast was standard western style but with many options. Although, it was quite cold.

Excellent hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly. I didn't have to pay upfront or leave any deposit. Everything went smoothly until the end. The rooms are as clean as the hotel as a whole. The food is excellent, and the restaurant is open until late. They cook great food. The hotel is located in the old town but close enough to the exit of the walls so that if you need the city center, you are close. I felt safe and secure during my stay. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to try the other hotel facilities, sauna, etc., because I was busy, but I hope to do it next time. I wish the hotel staff all the best. You're wonderful. Thank you for everything.

It is an amazing hotel central and close to many areas you can visit .. metro is just three minutes away and public transportation, the staff and manager are so friendly and supportive, when I checked in I didn’t like to be in a connected room but they showed me others and moved me to the best one on the second day, there is no soundproof in the room but the area is very quiet at night and you can sleep like a baby also the visitors are not noisy, plaace of the Shirvanshahs, Funicular, shaidlar momentum, Baku eye, carpet museum, Deniz mall, national art museum, mini Venice, Azneft Square, flame towers, Maidan Tower are all within a walking distance from the hotel.

The carpet have spots on them need to be cleaned more

Location of the Hotel suited us. Easy to get to all of the Museums, shopping, promenade etc. All of the Staff were very good. Communication was excellent. The weather was cold during our visit but the heating in the room works very well.

There was no view from our room window but I expected this after reading other reviews. The bed, although large in size was firm and the duvet was too small.
