The hotel facilities are pristine, the rooms are large and well appointed, and the staff is exceptional. The hotel has three restaurants onsite, a movie theater, a private beach with country club level comforts, spa, 24-hour gym, a great bar (try Little Miss Rocksteady) and only 30 rooms in the whole place. The hotel is on the western side of Nassau Island which is away from the more touristy part of the island which was great for those interested in rest and relaxation. The private beach was the highlight of the trip.

The restaurants each had some exceptional dishes and some that were less than exceptional. When you made a good selection, you'll be very happy. Here's a few of the better dishes to try: Shima - salmon ponzu and twice-cooked beef short rib; Yellowbell - bacon cheeseburger; Morongo - tonnarelli neri al granchio and fettuccine al ragu; Island Pizza - Salsiccia. The only drawback to the location was the long rides to the casinos, fish fry, and night clubs in the touristy sections, but the serenity of "home" made it worthwhile.

I loved EVERYTHING! 1. The staff - Ashley, Anya, Kent, Raschad, Stephanie, Spencer, Alessandro, Kevin, Lewis - they make you feel like family! My friend forgot her book and Kent went back to the hotel, found it and brought it to us. When we sat down at breakfast on the 2nd day, Anya knew exactly how we wanted our coffee. Ashley helped change dinner reservations to accomodate our timing and figure out rides. Raschad greets you with the biggest smile and makes sure you have what you need. First class service! I actually miss them. 2. The grounds - Perfectly manicured. Beautiful and green. The pool - gorgeous. The rooms - spacious, crisp and clean. The bathrooms - huge. The gym - well stocked with updated machines. 3. The food - DELICIOUS. The Italian restaurant on the grounds (Alessandro is the best som with the best wine recs). The prawn pasta, the fish dishes, the burrata, the tuna carpaccio - incredible. Plus, there's a homemade ice cream spot right next door (Lewis lets you test them all) and it's SO GOOD 4. The beach access - The hotel isn't on the beach but you're 3-5 minutes from Old Fort Bay Beach Club. What a beautiful place! Great staff - great food and the most incredible grounds. Such a lovely beach! 5. The location - Incredible. 15 min (max) from the airport - door to door. 45 minutes from the Atlantis, so not the same group of people. Bonus: If you're looking to charter a boat for a day - Ace Charters (instagram: acecharters_242)

NOTHING! 10/10. One thing to note: it's about 45 minutes to the Four Seasons, Bahamar, and Atlantis if you're headed there. We weren't interested, but it was surprising to us.

The intimate atmosphere at this boutique resort was exceptional with fabulous, smiling staff across the board.

The two restaurants on property are exceptional, but the poolside/hotel food was lacking as was some mild entertainment to gather guests. The atmosphere is very chic and yet the only movie playing in the boutique theatre was The little mermaid. The food was really good but lacked the extra effort to make it terrific and didn’t live up to the superb cocktails, decor and sophisticated vibe. Easy fix as the rest was truly wonderful.

I liked the take out options which you could have around the pool. Lots of healthy options. Really easy and relaxed. Both restaurants good. Service good.

For a 5 stAr resort just a little slow in responding to requests. Waited 2 hrs for pool towels and had to ask several times. No do not disturb sign and housekeeping came in while sleeping at night. No guide to hotel so you have to ask a lot of questions to acclimatise!

Great facilities - restaurant (liked both the yellow bell and Thima), gym (great equipment, open airy layout plus yoga studio), spa (had a great massage). Rooms were spacious - my room had a wonderful garden and water view, and a great balcony on which to relax. The beach is off the property but very close, and is absolutely wonderful. Crystal clear, warm and mild waters! Powder sand. (I never made it to the pool though it’s 24hrs). The staff throughout the hotel, especially the front desk manager, were also very professional and kind. It’s a boutique hotel and has a very relaxed peaceful vibe. A place that I could see returning again and again.

You can hear planes overhead in the morning. My room seemed to be in the middle of a flight path. Also, the hotel is in new providence which is 30-45min away from paradise island and other Nassau attractions. If you plan to spend a lot of time on that side of town, including boat trips etc. you will be spending lots on cabs or better off getting a rental car.

The place is amazing and gives you access to the beach club which is a beautiful and long private beach. It is very expensive, but with the prices in Nassau, if you enjoy luxury and quiet, you are better off investing a bit more and staying here instead of noisy and busy resorts

the price of restaurants in the hotel are high and there are not many places walking distance that you can go to.

The staff is very attentive. TIH and its dining options are a bit "pricey" but it may be a better value than I am aware of. Bahamas prices in general seemed relatively high compared to LA. TIH food and service were very good. TIH is very clean, we loved the Old Fort Bay Club beach which is an excellent amenity. Kira the manager was kindly accommodating. TIH's location is far west from Atlantis, downtown, other hotels which could be a benefit or a drawback. If you want to "get away" and relax and hang out there it should work well.

Amazing small size resort when you don't want the hustle and bustle of an Atlantis. Décor is tasteful and comfortable, room size is excellent. All of the food choices from all restaurants on property were excellent! Access to the Beach Club was AWESOME!

We had booked a "garden view" room, but we literally had no view except for a shrub.

we spent 5 incredible nights at the island house hotel. incredible staff, stunning pool and rooms. i loved the workout classes. the private beach is easily one of the best beaches we’ve been to. the overall vibe is relaxed and low key which was perfect for our family holiday. we can’t wait to come back!

The resort was beautiful and quiet, which is exactly what we were looking for. The pool and gym facilities were top-notch, and we took a great barre class. The room was spacious and well-decorated. The shower/bathtub were beautiful.

The staff was not very helpful when asked about activities. We were interested in a beach day and/or a sail, and were told to try Google. The breakfast was good, but not included in the price and was very expensive. While we didn't have to wait too long for the car to the beach, it was a little inconvenient.
