The staff were all welcoming, friendly and helpful at all times. The breakfast was outstanding, offering a wonderful selection and everything we could possibly want. The location was excellent with a lovely outlook onto the square and only a couple of minutes walk to the Cathedral or the shopping district.

Our room, whilst a good size, needed two comfortable chairs in it being a double room, not just one, leaving one person to sit on the bed or desk chair, neither of which were comfortable for relaxing. The bathroom shower needed some kind of non slip mat in the shower, which was very slippery and had no handles of any kind to hold onto. The shower head needs to be on a sliding pole so it can be lowered for shorter people like myself. Our washcloths were removed for washing after the first night but not replaced, The towel shelf and rail have been fixed so high up the wall that at 1.60m, I could not reach any towels. There was no complimentary water in our room, we had to buy it from downstairs. No bathrobes.

The best things about this well-run hotel are its location and the inclusions (value for money). You can walk from the train station, it is right in the old town and you can walk everywhere of interest. The room is very large and spacious, one of the few rooms we have stayed in similar hotels which actually has two comfortable chairs and a desk in addition to a place to put your suitcase, beverage facilities, large and spotless bathroom. Many thanks Hilton Antwerp, I will use Hilton hotels again.

Excellent location, spacious room and large bathroom, comfy bed with good quality linen. Very nice bar with great staff and reasonable prices.

- Very strange way of checking in with automatically added unexpected compulsory deposit for potential purchases (which I had no intention of doing). This is unacceptable practice as nothing was mentioned during booking. - Our room window had a broken lock and we were not able to open it to get a bit of fresh air. We reported it to the reception on arrival. Nothing was done after 4 days. The air conditioning was operable in 5 degrees increments only.

Driving into Antwerpen center you can park dead spot underneath the square of the hotel. An elevator transfers you right into the lobby. Swift service at the reception. Spacious accommodation big room. Great facilities. The hotel oozes quality and old luxurious traveling. Excellent bar and breakfast.

The main entrance is now the bar Blend 32 that belongs to the hotel. The hotels entrance is at the side in a shopping street which lack the grandeur that this hotel deserves.

This hotel is very well located, near all of the tourist attractions, restaurants, bars, tram stops and multiple public (paid) car parks -- we used Brabo as it was less expensive. We've read in other reviews that the hotel was poorly maintained -- this is NOT how we found the hotel or our room. Yes, it's an "older" hotel, so it has lots of *quality* wooden furniture that over the years has obvious signs of wear. But we felt that just gave this hotel some character. All rooms are on levels 3 and 4. Ours was on 3. We had a view outside, to the street, from where we could see a bit of Ghent's skyline: a nice perk! Otherwise, nothing bad to point out: this is a Hilton!

The AC remote was hard to figure out, but after we understood it, it turned out it was working fine. Also, as this hotel had lots of rooms and we ended up in the furthest corner from the elevator, we had a "long" walk to get to the room. "Long" means about 1 minute -- this is not a crazy-big Los Angeles hotel :-)

Staff attitude should be revised. Both at the check-in / check out, as well as at the breakfast, asking a questions since to disturb the staff. The last day got caught by heavy rain and once back at the hotel to grab the luggage’s and ahead to the airport (check out was already done), I asked for a towel to dry my head and try to avoid a cold. Got given some toilet paper because “you already checked out”.

Everything about the hotel was great. Huge room (Business Room) with both a shower and bathtub, helpful & friendly staff, location right in the middle of Antwerp's Old Town and the breakfast buffet had a huge array of food.

Parking! It was written on the hotel's website - "Parking available at the hotel". NOT! We had to park at the Groenplaats parking garage which is connected to the hotel at Basement Level 1. No problem, very convenient too but when we checked out after our 3 days/2 nights stay, we were told the hotel does not have any special discount and we ended up paying Euro55+.

The breakfast was excellent it would cover all visitors expectations in comfortable surroundings. The hotel is ideally situated for anyone visiting the old part of Antwerp

More information in the hotel about local places Ito visit I appreciate most things are on line but I still like brochure information. I was not happy about two local restaurants requesting cash payments for meals when other customers were using payment cards as we were told the machine was not working

Great Hotel on the whole but it just missed the mark a bit. We had two rooms on the 5th floor. One for my wife and I and one for the Children ( 14 & 17 ) After navigating the car parking issues in Antwerp we found out that we could of parked almost outside the front door and then just headed down to the public car park. The reception staff were great and Breakfast did not want for anything. But the biggest let down in a way was after having access to the "Club Room" on the 5th floor then being told that you can not take your drinks outside to the roof top patio area. When there are chairs and tables laid out. The reason we were told was The Hotel manager did not want anyone outside. Unfortunately park of the reason for picking this Hotel was to chill out in the evening and have a drink or two watching the sun go down .... which of course you can't from inside.

Not permitted access to the roof top ( 5th flour ) patio area even though we had two rooms on the 5th floor

The room was very clean, love the carpets and the quality of the furniture - also care for the environment by not washing towels daily. Breakfast was ok. I would expect a little more from Hilton - especially a better quality coffee as machine coffee is not that nice.

I didn't like the cleaning materials they used throughout as they are quite strong. I would suggest more natural cleaning methods where possible and less fragrances.
