The interior design is lovely, friendly and attentive staff, wonderful continental buffet breakfast, clean rooms with working kettle plus tea/ coffee, as well as Nuxe shower and hand gel, which was a nice touch. Thank you so much for your hospitality - we will be back! I think Vintage Hotel if perfect for both leisure and business, we really enjoyed our stay (the day and night staff really made it a great experience - many thanks to them).
To be able to control the central heating... the room was hot! However, most people would probably appreciate this in cold rainy Brussels :) I found the room rate a little on the high side, however we were staying over Christmas/ NY which is a busy time and Brussels in general is an expensive European city, so I guess the rate reflects this.

Quirky decor and really friendly, helpful staff. Location is about a 20 minute walk to the Central square.
I found the rooms were not exceptionally clean, the walls were grubby and in need of a good paint/scrub, the mirror in the bathroom was quite old and chipped around the edges and the carpets could do with being industrially cleaned, hoovered into the corners (clumps of dust and fluff around the skirting boards) I felt the downstairs area smelled of “dirty mop” smell and when I witnessed the floors being mopped one morning, it was definitely the smell of dirty mops being moved about. As that was the breakfast area, that really grossed me out .

Location of the hotel is perfect - all the most gorgeous places can be reached on foot or by public transport, as well as having the street, full of good restaurants only 2min away from the hotel. The room was cozy and good value for this money.
The internet connectivity on the 2nd floor was quite poor, most of the time we just used mobile data to watch something online. If internet worked properly, it definitely would be a perfect stay!

Overall a really pleasant spot. Helpful and available staff, cute decor, felt safe and peaceful, all for a good value. The location was great for exploring the city via walking, tram, subway, or bus. I would definitely recommend this spot to friends or anyone visiting Brussels.
Our room was nice, but it was a bit smaller and darker than I was expecting based on some of the hotels pictures online. I don’t think we were deceived at all, but may be good to know there seems to be a range of room quality.

It was an ideal location. Comfortable and clean. Staff were very helpful and gave excellent service. Room was a good size and bed was decent. Breakfast was fresh, I loved waking up to the smell of freshly baked croissant I would like to stay again.
If I was to find fault it was the coffee machine at breakfast. The hotel was busy Sunday morning and one coffee machine didn't keep pace. The coffee was good and the staff were keeping on top of everything when it ran out.

Extremely well located, right behind the Louise metro station in the chic upper-town of Brussels, with direct access to Bruxelles-Midi station. The area has a variety of cafes, restaurants and bars, and good transport links, including to the ULB (university). Or have an evening drink in the courtyard in front of the hotel itself. The retro decor is lots of fun, and the room was comfortable and clean. A small double room is rather small -- you would have trouble with 2 large suitcases -- but entirely fine for one person. Note there was only one chair in my room. The wifi was fine for general browsing/email/voice conversation on Skype. You can make basic tea & coffee in the room. The bathroom gets points for including a box of tissues, but note that the shower can be rather small (in my room, though apparently not in my colleague's room). Breakfast is excellent, and very well worth the 10 euros. You have a choice of tea (extensive range from le palais des thés) or coffee, 2 fruit juices, fresh baguettes, croissants, pains au chocolat, plus various cold collation items, cereal & muesli. The staff are always around and very friendly and helpful; I appreciated it that breakfasts and drinks could just be added to the bill for the room. I would definitely stay again!
The hotel could be more eco-friendly; there wasn't a clear way to signal that I didn't need the towels changed every day (other that just leaving 'do not disturb' on the door). Similarly, why not provide ceramic mugs for the tea/coffee in the room, and washable glasses in the bathroom? (Especially when there is clearly some way to wash the cups used at breakfast.) It feels wasteful to throw away the paper cups, even if they are made from partly recycled material. The carpet on the stairs and corridors on the higher floors could be cleaned more thoroughly.

The decoration: Vintage, colorful and elegant. And it’s done very tastefully, so there’s a very cosy feel to it too. The cleanliness. The walls are thick, the room was quiet and comfortable. Our little room on the top floor felt like a cocoon. The quality of the bedding. The friendliness of the receptionist when we checked in.
There was a little draft running from the main door right through the bathroom, brrrr. How the other receptionist totally ignored us when we checked out. Not the hotel’s direct fault but there is a massive pile of rubbish in the street that needs to be sorted out.

Good location, friendly staff, nice breakfast, for 10€ good value. Quiet except when the rubbish trucks came. Restaurants nearby including really busy syrian/lebanese.
A few more hooks in the room would have been useful, since there was little floor space. One of the towels was torn ( though of course it still worked). No vegan options for breakfast.

We really loved this place and we’re so glad we picked it from all the others we looked at on Booking.com. Staff so helpful, room great (a big bathroom that was well soundproofed from the bedroom which is a bonus and rare in hotels) Quirky decor, really attractive. Great street with lots of restaurants but because the hotel is down the road a little there was no street noise in the room— excellent sleep. Breakfast was really good, everything was clean. Would loved to have stayed longer.
We liked everything once we worked out how the door key worked….
