The location is amazing. Great view. The SPA and hot water pools are awesome!

The night lights from the terrace with the sun beds light up the room windows as well. They should have some sort of reflector shades so that the light is only directed toward the terrace and not toward the room windows. That being said, the curtains did their job. The terrace/sun beds side audio system needs a bit of work. It's great when the music comes only from the pool bar, but too loud when the music comes from the speakers on the front side of the terrace. As you have a SPA and pools, it would be useful to have a mini laundry rail on the balcony / in the room (for winter and the rooms without a balcony) to dry the bath robes and swimming suits. It would be great to have more English TV channels.

Always great SPA experience. The hotel and SPA facilities are super clean and well maintained. The personnel is very nice and they really try to keep the high level. The food is just amazing - you don't need to even think about eating outside at Bansko.

All the pillows are too high for my sleep style.

The place is nice and has all the amenities comfort wise. Rooms are spacious, and pools and steam rooms are nice too. Lots of different massages and procedures available.

Sound proofing does not exist between rooms. You can hear absolutely everything. There was no program or any entertainment other than bowling and a pool table. The piano bar was closed, and it was kind of dead. i signed up for an expensive massage and throughout the procedure the masseuse was trying to cross sell me on another procedure which I didn't want, and I probably had to say I'm not interested seven different ways which totally kills the relaxation in the massage.

First of all the food... this was outstanding! The prices are very reasonable in the bar for drinks too. The area is beautiful and the spa very relaxing.

The only slight negative was that the room was very hot (no air con). Unfortunately there was a dog outside which barked constantly which meant we could not leave the window open.

We have been visiting the hotel each year for the past 6 years and we can see how the service is evolving. I like the fact that they have added so much activities for children. There is food offered for small children as well. For adults they have included gluten free and lactose free breakfast options, which I really appreciate and enjoy as a person with health issues. The new outdoor pool has added more water space for all guests. I am really curious to see how the hotel will change and improve next time we visit :)

I would like to see gluten free and lactose free dessert for dinner, except for the fruit options. Today there are so many delicious raw cakes and rolls based on nuts and fruits from which the hotel can take ideas :)

The staff was really kind. The SPA is amazing, the food is just great. It is great to be in the outside pool and look at the highest peaks in Pirin mountain. We had a great time in Katarino SPA!

Water and espresso are not included in the breakfast and dinner.

The service is outstanding and the activities for the children seemed pretty interesting for families with kids. We tried a few massages and they were all perfect. Perfect experience. The temperature of the swimming pool was also perfect. The food and beverages selection for the half board was excellent. The overall experience was great thanks for the outstanding service, food and location, but to be fair it's pretty overpriced for the current facilities that they offer. I would love to come back when the expansion and renovation is ready. :)

The outdoor swimming pool is way too small. The indoor swimming pool was also not big enough and too shallow. The outdoor facilities (chairs, deckings etc.) of the restaurant need some refreshment and the common parts (corridors especially) definitely need to work on the design. We stayed at the apartment and I slept on the sofa. There was a small window over the TV in the living room which didn't had an option to be covered, which made the curtains of the big screens useless as the sun would come through the small window in the morning.

I did not know what to expect, funnily enough this was our first visit to Katarino - I did check the rating and found it really hard to believe. However, they do deliver on that promise. The food is absolutely amazing and the staff goes the extra mile of making guests feel great.

The hotel is in need of renovation. And rooms will benefit from a better organization of space - three adults /my son is already in our age group/ in a suite felt really crowded and we did not even have our ski outfits around.
