Everything was clean. The staff was a nice. The wasn’t a major issues for us as some of these comments say, it’s a 1 dollar grab from the center or 10–15 minute walk. It has a nice outside area.

The one downside with the location is that it is next to or nearby a temple so expect some repetitive chanting at weird hours. They charge 5 extra dollars a day for AC.

Kind staff, great pool and great value for the price in general. The hostel is a 15 minute walk from the city centre.

Spacious, relaxed and overall good value for money. A little walk from the main city central but it's a great location. Nice quiet street. Pool was awesome, and the food is very reasonably priced and good. Lots of lovely dogs, our favorite thing, Ample space. Really recommend this place. Not a 5 star hotel but a very homely and welcoming guesthouse. Most guests were foreigners during our stay and they offer both western and Asia food. Great English country music played. We booked for one night but extended our stay.

Everything was great

Very nice place for really little money. The best value for money we had in two months of travelling in South East Asia. The room was large and quiet, the breakfast and generally the food was very good and the staff was very-very helpful.

The hotel is located relatively far from the centre. You could walk in reality, but it is an ugly and noisy route you prefer to avoid. We do not use air-conditioning, but the room had an AC and when I asked how it works I have been asked 5$ extra per night (which is a 40% increase of their rate). This is not serious. That said, the fan was largely sufficient to sleep comfortably.

Lovely set up, great pool I didn't have time to use however. Restaurant on site with free breakfast so very handy when checking in late. Close walk to the town however if your scared of dogs better get a lift as there are very little lights near by and a number of dogs are out after dark. Fine for me two nights but you would be happy getting into the hotel.

I didn't realise but my room had no AC, would not book again without it, room was awful warm, hard to sleep even with windows open. Even a small plug in unit should be got for each room an pay slightly extra as for me it was very hard to sleep, 33 degrees easy

I have travelled a lot in Asia and what a fantastic deal this place is. For $9 I got a basic but good room with a good bed and decent bathroom. There's a nice big pool surrounded by a lovely terras with lots of plants, the restaurant serves good drinks and food, the lobby is really cool, there's a good pool table (bad sticks though which is a shame)all set in a lovely old colonialstyle hotel. Just a wee bit out of town (which I like) but tuktuks are so cheap so that doesn't matter anyway and you can easily walk as well. There were all sorts of people of all ages. Would TOTALLY recommend to anyone.

The staff were always smiling or laughing not sure at or with me. They organised my trips, and tuk tuks when I needed them. The roof top bar is super and the barman is a great character. Food local dishes were best. My room only had a fan and to be honest I slept better than with air con. I stayed extra nights so that is a recommendation in its self.

The place is a 20 min walk from the market, a tuk tuk costs 1 or 2 USD. The roads are being upgraded so very muddy and rough not the fault of the hostel.

The courtyard with the pool is very nice. We also had breakfast there in the morning and it was good. The best part of the hostel is the staff. They are so nice and always ready to help. They helped us with booking a day tour and also a sleeper bus. When we were confused about the transfer for the sleeper bus, I called in the morning and they helped me again. They even let us leave our bags and use the facilities of the hostel even after we had checked out since our sleeper bus was late in the evening. Thank you so much for everything! 😊

A little bit far from the center, but it can be reached by 20-25 minutes of walking or a Tuk Tuk.

The pool is really nice. It’s surrounded with trees and flowers, making it a good place to cool down relax. The room I stayed in had a small balcony overlooking the pool and garden below. I must say that my back gets along quite well with “Asian style mattresses. Firm that! The kitchen serves a nice variety of food. And breakfast well, eggs are eggs. Transportation to your next destination can easily be arranged at the hostel. All the services are offered with a welcoming smile.

Food was excellent Best hotel food we’ve had and very good value. Also from what we saw, good value cocktails, spirits- I only had beer. And staff were great, very helpful and always friendly and responsive. The vibe at the hotel was relaxed and friendly, guests of all ages, young people, couples with young children, middle aged and elderly.

Can’t really think of anything negative other than the streets in Battambzri, badly potholed.
