We stayed 6 nights here in total (couple). Our stay was absolutely beautiful. The buffet breakfast was very good, they have combination of both western and Asian meals to choose. The pool view was excellent as well. Freshly squeezed juice is also available. What made this more memorable was the top notch staff. They were very polite, warm and always had a smile on their faces. The beautiful view in the resort is also worth it, it felt like we were staying in a tropical oasis. You could walk around in the resort as it is quite big. Would highly recommend this resort if you’re in Siem Reap.

For those wanting privacy, there was no door for the bathroom which my husband didn’t like. But I guess this comes with being an authentic Khmer hotel experience. Also the toilet has no exhaust fan. There was a window but you can’t open it to get rid of smell which defeats the purpose of a window. Aircon could be a tad Stronger but we were always comfortable during our stay if you leave the aircon on when you’re out and about.

The location is a little remote from the center, so it's very calm and quiet. The staff were absolutely amazing, friendly, helpful and with a good English knowledge. The bungalow was very spacious with a private entrance. The resort itself with the restaurant and a surrouding pool was stunning. I recommend renting a scooter

I have a very mixed feeling about the jacuzzi. The water inside is not heated. Unfortunately even though the outside temperature in Siem Reap is pretty high, the water is changed every morning, so it doesn't have time to warm up. Next time I would definitely choose a room without it. We were there for 4 night and the breakfast options stayed the same the whole time. The prices for the drinks were too high for Cambodian standards.

It was absolutely marvelous! I have no words. We stayed at villa with a jacuzzi and it was wonderful. We could hop inside whenever we wanted and there is a big pool around the restaurant/bar area and smaller behind the reception as well. (The big one is 40x10m with 2m deep and addition on the sides like 30x10m which gets gradually shallower to 0,5m) Everything was clean - of course there was some palm leaves in our jacuzzi, but who would care! The breakfast is unique -you can order fress omelete, pancake or noodle soup. Also the cocktails in the bar are delicious (costs 6$) We also tried the traditional khmer “pressure” massage (90min of course;) and I am pretty sure it was one of the best massages in town! (I know Thai massage but this is a different one and very pleasant one and also relaxing and muscle releasing). Last but not least I must mention the hotel staff - they were absolutely great! They smiled all the time, spoke nice english and absolutely nothing was a problem. We stayed for 4 nights, spent most time on trips (around temples in Angkor area or village on Tonlé Sap) but all the time we were almost sorry not to be able to just lay down at sunbed next to a bar with a cocktail in our hand! Definitely worth the money and the calmness in the evening was amazing (of course due to the aircondition and nature - frogs and insects concert outside we slept mainly with the earbuds) Thank you very much!

For my family's trip to Siem Reap the last thing I wanted was to stay in a brick building with an elevator and a tiny room. My target was to find an authentic place, preferably a villa, with an easy access to nature. Soooo, when I stumbled across "Authentic Khmer Village Resort", I knew immediately that they were just the place I was looking for, the main thing was to find the right room in the resort. Based on the comments of other travellers, I picked a villa with a swimming pool and two bedrooms and breakfast included -- and it was 20 on the scale 1--10!!! The villa that I liked is #15 -- for future references. But I am sure the other ones are as good as this one. Laconic design, nice beds, properly working air-conditioners, nice shampoos and body gels, nice sitting area on the veranda, excellent swimming pool with the water of just the right temperature, substantial breakfast -- all absolutely excellent! The personnel was exceptionally nice, well-done, everyone!

From aesthetics point of view, I would suggest that the entrance to the hotel -- the long alley leading to the property from the street -- to be properly lit up. At the moment it's all covered in darkness, and, when one comes back from the walk around the city after dawn, it does not look welcoming. The pressure of hot water in the shower is sometimes not as strong, but I understand the circumstances, so it's not a complaint but rather a fact to accept.

The villa was wonderful, spacious and clean. The outside area had a large pool and deck to lounge on. We often had our breakfast on the deck and it was magical and peaceful. The resort is spacious and well laid out so that it feels like you are on a tropical paradise. The main pool surrounds the restaurant and the ambience is truly magnificent. You would never guess that you were in a busy city. It is lovely and quiet. Finally, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. Fantastic resort and will definitely return. Thank you Authentic Khmer Village resort for spoiling us and giving us a wonderful and much needed break. I can highly recommend this accomodation!

Everything was perfect.

The property is beautiful, the grounds are well maintained, the houses comfortable, pretty and give privacy. The housekeeping service was excellent. We forgot our cash for the next two weeks in Thailand when we checked out. The staff run after our tuk-tuk to return it to us. We have also forgotten our iPhone in a car and it has been also returned to us. I love Cambodians!

The only problem I had was a noise from a property nearby. There was a life boxing event two nights over the weekend.

Amazing resort we HIGHLY recommend. Actually we cant define it as a "resort" but as a "village" : there is no promiscuity, there is space between each villa and each client has privacy in his villa. Staff is very kind, smiling and helpful : always keen to recommend shops/restaurants/places, to book taxi/tuk-tuk, to get information on our behalf, to book tickets, to book scooters or electrical bicycles.... Resort is stunning : beautiful villas surrounded by luxuriant vegetation (most of the villas have their own pool or jacuzzi) ; common pool is huge, clean and very nice ; resort is very quiet Breakfast : is included in the deal, allows you to choose between local and westerns dishes, with different squeezed fruit juice every day ; you can choose between taking your breakfast in your villa or in the restaurant (which is surrounded by the pool) ; quantities are huge ; service is great Restaurant : a la carte menu proposes you Cambodian dishes and western dishes ; service is efficient and fast Wifi : efficient, good quality . In few days, we experienced a couple of wifi outage but problem has been solved within 10 minutes

Resort is located 8km far from Angkor Temples. It could be considered as a bit far but it is very easy to get a tuk tuk, rent a scooter or a electrical bicycle and going there ... So it is not really an issue.

We stayed at this lovely little resort for 8 nights and had a fantastic stay. The Resort is super cute with around 20 villas in different sizes, lots of greenery and the biggest and most beautiful pool of our 6 weeks travel in Asia. The Villa itself was fabulous with nice large bedrooms and living room, beautiful outdoor space, comfortable beds, nice interior, perfectly working aircon and great pressure in the shower. Our Villa even had a private pool which was great for cooling off and a little swim. When we wanted a real long swim we happily used the shared pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful and helped us setup multiple visit to Angkor Temples and other sights. Daily cleaning of our villa was also awesome, nothing better then coming "home" to a made up bed and tidy villa. In the area there's a lot of really good restaurants either within walking or by tuktuk.

The restaurant was mediocre and the breakfast got a little boring after 8 nights. It's ala card breakfast but you are expected to choose your breakfast the day before, which can be quite hard (how are you supposed to know what you feel like in the morning ;) There was a mix up with our villa and we were first given a villa that did not have the 2 bathrooms as booked. Luckily it was sorted out after the 1st night and we even got an upgrade to the 3 bedroom villa. However with the higher prices, one expect this to be in order.

it was not a brand new resort, but all the staff were so supportive and helpful. when I needed a low bed for my baby, they brought it directly and set it up. the service level was spot on.

breakfast can be refilled as much as I want but I wish the menu can be more various.

Seriously JUST STAY HERE. The whole place is amazing. The best part is the hotel is different. It is a unique hotel with individual bungalows surrounded by or over their large "pond" The walkways are all over water. I thought it was going to be way out of town to get the great rural village feel, but it was a 15 minute walk or 2 minute tuk tuk ride to the center of town. The whole place is kept immaculate. It has an amazingly good free breakfast, huge pool (for the kids), location is a short walk or even shorter tuk tuk ride to center of town. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. They upgraded my room for free! I could not have been any happier with the whole experience.

The water in our private pool attached to our bungalow was pretty cold because there is an roof that keeps it out of the sun all day, but my kids still used it. And, the room was upgraded for free to include the private pool. And even if we didn't use it, it was very pretty to look at.
