Mountain View was on the more affordable end for my friend and me and it was a great option. Bearing in mind that because it is more affordable, it does look more "basic" than if you were staying at a high-end hotel, but nothing to complain about at all. The front desk service was wonderful, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the stay was comfortable. It was also only a short driving distance to Banff and the Banff National Park as well. It was also close to everything needed in Canmore - grocery store, main street, restaurants, great hiking trails, etc. Gas station right across from the inn, which was helpful.
Only wish there was enough parking space for all the hotel guests. They do tell you in advance that there may not be enough parking space and that we might need to park on the side streets. We came back late one night at around 11pm and we circulated around the neighbourhood for awhile looking for a parking space as even the side-street parking was full. Also, it would be helpful if the parking spots were repainted because, in the parking lot, you could clearly see some cars had taken two spots because the parking lines were too faint to see.

The inn made my sister and I feel very at home, it was great coming back to the room after a long day of walking/biking/hiking. It was clean and well kept, the beds were comfortable, and the view was amazing. Great location too, we were in walking distance of anything we needed. Would definitely come here again!
The only small critique I would have is that the check out process was a little confusing. In our room it said the front desk is open at 7, but when we got downstairs it said 8. One sign told us to put our keys in the lockbox, the other said leave them on our dresser. Putting our keys in the lockbox was a nice easy way to check out, but it would definitely help to make that more clear on all signage.

Big room with 2 Queen beds, small table and chairs, TV, bathroom with bath and shower, fridge, coffee maker. shops and eateries within 5mins walk. A&W across the road open breakfast, lunch and dinner. Local free Roam bus about 2 mins walk out front or Roam bus to Banff about 5mins walk. Also vending machines and microwave in lounge area. Doesn't look great from outside but a warm and welcoming country hospitality feel inside. Also cheaper than staying in Banff which is ridiculous at the moment. Car space available if required
Nothing! Highly recommended.

The beds were comfortable. It was nice to know that there was a bar fridge and coffee pot. We only were staying there to sleep then move on our travels but would stay again if coming to Canmore. I was worried about noise from the parking lot as our room was on that side but it was very quiet.
I would suggest that you look at the quality of bar soap you have in the bathroom. It was very small and did not seem to lather at all. It could be improved upon. Glass glasses and cups would also be a nice touch rather than plastic and paper cups.

Clean and comfortable with amazing views. Room was very quiet even though next to a main road. Great value for an overnight stay. Staff were friendly and overall was a nice stay.
Upon check in the front desk staff were away from desk. We waited over 20 minutes to be checked in and were already running late to an event. The stairway and hall carpets have seen better days but it’s an older style hotel/motel.

Good location, nice room, was warm even without using the air conditioner, friendly and welcoming staff, convenient parking as it was not busy
Styrofoam cups in the room, made it impossible to heat up tea or coffee even though there was a microwave in the room. Air conditioner is quite noisy and couldn’t be turned off unless you plug the power cord. Other guests being really loud in the corridors.

It is an older hotel but when you are gone all day, you just need a place to sleep! Bed was comfortable. Towels a little scratchy and thin but ok. Front desk person was friendly and helpful. Parking easy, walking convenient.
Only two floor but only had stairs. Not a problem for me but may be for someone else. Water pressure in shower a little light and the shower head wasn’t very adjustable …could only get the massage pulse.

It was in the perfect location. Walking distance to almost everything you wanted to do. Beautiful views of the mountains.
The tree’s were insuring the Mountain View it would have been nice to know when booking and I would have probably just got a standard room with the parking lot view. The people above me were very heavy footed and made a lot of noise.

We had the best room in the inn. It was the corner room on the second floor with magnificent views of the mountain. It was large in comparison to other rooms as it had bay windows that added a lot of space. The bath was spacious with a spa tub that we didn´t use. It had a sink outside the bathroom which is very convenient.
We were on the second floor and there is no elevator and a long walk to the front door. It was worth it, but since we´re seniors, it´s something to be aware of. The front desk staff did offer to find someone to help bring up our luggage even though we ended up not needing the help.

The room size was typical economy places. The bed was okay, the pillows were not very comfy. It was okay and good for what we were looking for. A place to park/sleep while we were hiking and visiting Banff National park. It was Close to the downtown area and it was easy to walk to restaurants and shops.
The rooms could use and update. Carpet and such seemed older.
