The deluxe king room was a cozy pleasant surprise.. The bed was excellent for us. Electric fireplace kept everything warm and cozy. Everything was very clean and fresh, . Bathroom was super clean.. TV was good large size, and enough channels for the two of us.. The ceiling fan was a big plus for us, as we use one all the time at home when we sleep.. It was a pleasant surprise.
Hmm... well.... It would be nice to have some bit of breakfast included , but its Waterton Lakes National Park , so none of the others offer breakfast in order to help support the seasonal food service shops in town (Waterton)

The property is very conveniently located and we stayed in a comfortable, well laid out room with 2 beds, a full kitchen and a gas fireplace. Didn't use much of anything in the kitchen, but it was nice having the option and seemed to have most of the basics. Huge tub in the bathroom, with ample hot water and water pressure. Smart TV with streaming but no cable. TV wasn't a priority for me there, but if you wanted to watch it, there was ample streaming options (which is often better than basic cable). Beds were very comfortable - not too firm or too soft. Rooms can get a bit warm, but we just lowered the heat and cracked open the window. Not a big deal. Even summer nights get chilly in the mountains so this is an easy year-round fix, plus there is a ceiling and stand fan. Overall, it was a fantastic stay at a great value! I had read some mixed reviews and wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised and look forward to visiting again! I'd also like to say thank you to Joyce at the front desk. She was very friendly, helpful and welcoming!!
Having plugs or charging outlets near the bed would be nice, but not a huge problem one way or the other. If I wanted to be really fussy - thicker pillows or 4 pillows per bed (that's just a personal preference though).

While checking in we were welcomed by Matthew. He was very personable and professional. He was very helpful and explained what was and wasn't open and approximate hours. This was appreciated as we were told beforehand that almost everything is closed this time of year. The room itself surpassed all expectations. The fireplace was a surprise. Well maintained and very clean. The location is beautiful as well. Loved our time there. Did not want to leave today.
Having to leave today. If I didn't have to go to work tomorrow we would have booked another night.

Location is great! We are friends who make Waterton an annual 'get together' and the rides from hotel are great! Staff is very friendly and was able to fulfill an early check in request. Beds are very comfortable.
Could use more cutlery. Room is for 6 people, but only enough cutlery for 4 people supplied. A broom would have been nice to have. Please note: one roll of toilet paper is not enough for 6 people spending 2 nights. (there were only 4 of us this time and fellow at front desk was happy to supplement our single roll)

Room was great with the lobby outside with patio chairs/ bench were great to enjoy coffee during the rain; Beds were comfortable and spacious; Very clean room Staff were friendly and very helpful
There was no curtain on the 2nd window of the room near the washroom and the back alley light was shining through the window. Same with the light outside the 1st big window, curtains could not block it out at night time. There was no hand soap in the bottle mounted in the wall of the bathroom sink.

Very clean rooms and bathroom, the beds were comfortable (we stayed in a 2 queen bed room). There was a tiny "kitchen corner" with fridge, microwave and coffee machine (nothing fancy but great nonetheless). The room was warm and we loved it (but not crazy warm to not enjoy being inside). The staff (one guy) at reception was helpful and nice. Our stay was on the first weekend of October and the town was pretty much dead. Still nice. The hotel seemed to have a reasonable amount of guests but in general it was nice and quiet (even though the walls seemed to be fairly thin).
The door to the room was from outside (not from an indoor hallway) and on the 1st night when it was very windy and rainy, it felt quite a bit drafty and the door seemed to be moving....yet the room was still nice and warm. The drain of the bathtub needs to be unclogged. The huge desk chair was really in the way getting from one side of the room to the other, between the 2 beds, the table etc. and there was nowhere to move it around. Our neighbors must have been smoking pot on the balcony and the smell got right in. Nothing (else) against pot except the smell of it! Yuk! All in all, minor lil' things. The place was great and great value!

Rooms were adequate, newly renovated, not luxury but done nicely. Beds were comfortable & clean, nice simple bathroom, nice kitchenette. Staff were great, knowledgeable, friendly etc. Parking was good too.
Cons: room very warm, no ac. Window couldn't be left open as there were people having a good time, making it difficult to sleep but it all worked out. Door to 1 of the rooms(#42) seemed dated but locked fine

This is a lovely little hotel. Our room had been recently renovated, which was fantastic. It’s very close to the town centre, and there’s plenty of parking around the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful—everything went smoothly. We’ll definitely be back to visit Waterton again!
Walls are very thin, you can hear the neighbours, especially if they're watching TV too loud.

The original hotel was built in 1927! They have obviously done some upgrades. We had a studio suite, queen bed and full kitchen, it was perfect. There is no air conditioning thankfully they provide a fan. Such a great location!
If you want quiet, this is not for you. You can hear the people above walking about, kids are running around, it was family friendly.

Great location and friendly staff. Loved the cabin style room that I stayed in. And that they were pet friendly.
Furnishings were a bit dated but still comfortable and suitable for my needs. Would have loved a safety lock on the door. There was a deadbolt but traveling by myself so wish I had a bit more safety. Back window was cracked but appeared to be resealed.
