We were in a room. There are three types of accommodation - heated tents , cabins and rooms. we had a great view of the inlet and the dock and a very enjoyable place to sit in the grounds overlooking all the activities. The resort was active but pleasantly quiet . There is a pub which operates from 12.00 - 8.00 p.m. with a well balanced food menue, prices for meals are reasonable ranginf from $C12-$C24 per item , servings were substantial. The dock is the the departure point for trips , there are numerous types of trips on offer. This place is an absolute gem in my opinion.

There was nothing that I did not like. For the price that I paid I was perfectly satisfied.

The location and pub are the best in Egmont! The cabins are private and in a great location. Waugh lake is close by to paddle board. Great to kayak or paddle to see the seals!

Liked everything. One suggestion is to install gates on the cabin patios so we can keep our little creatures secure and off leash!

Fabulous location

A variety of rooms were available, and ours was on the smaller side (bigger options like cabins were available) Great pub for dinner and then kayaking in the bioluminescent water at night!

The location is unmatchable. We stayed in the geodesic dome which was not my first choice as I thought of it as a tent. It was NOT a tent but rather an amazing structure that had a full magnificent view of the water, islands and mountains and a window that was bigger than any other bedroom window you might find. So glad we didn't have the option to opt for the older hotel structure. We knew it was going to be somewhat rustic and it exceeded our expectations in the best way possible.

Maybe the parking lot feeling right behind the geodomes could be improved and one does have to share a washroom and shower. The Backeddy Pub is an 'outback' feeling of remote being also right on the water. People should not be looking for luxury when booking here but a serene, magnificent view of what the Coast has to offer and, in the domes, a simple lovely refinement for travellers once they step inside their door.

Location is incredible, the views are amazing! We stayed in a dome and it was a great experience.

The shared bathroom facilities were unclean, backed up toilets and a constant running shower making the floor slippery and toilets unusable.

I loved the views and our cabin was super cute and cozy! Our favourite was the fireplace we loved how cute and rustic! We went for Valentines Day and my Husbands birthday and we loved it and would definitely recommend it for any couples wanting a relaxing getaway and spend quality time cute marina as well. The couple who run the property are super nice and friendly and very helpful anytime we needed extra wood and even starting a fire since we haven’t done it before they helped us out. Beth also helped arranged a cute little cheese tray to surprise my husband with when we entered the room and a bottle of Pellegrino it was very sweet and he loved it!

The pub was closed unfortunately due to covaid so couldn’t get any food but it’s understandable but definitely will be coming back In Summer!

Location had beautiful scenery and was very quiet.

No food service for breakfast or lunch. No grocery so you could do it yourself.

The tent was amazing, the views stunning, the food at the pub delicious and the staff super friendly and helpful.

The washrooms need an urgent upgrade - that was the bummer of the entire experience and has nothing to do with glamping. Also the domes could be spaced out a bit more to allow some privacy.

waking up by the ocean.-felt private- was quiet- was great to bring my sleepy old dog - window that opened by bed - nice linens - was a peaceful stay for sure. Waking up at the marina as a lovely way to start the New Year!

hot water tank way too small - wood was hard to start (but doritos saved us- they light up and burn amazingly long & well) so more kindling needed or any small bag of cheesy type of nacho corn chip to start damp wood (lol - it really works well - must be the grease) --too many bed pillows lol , no place to put them! -and couldn't plug in kettle as cord was too short, and it blew a fuse when we tried in the bathroom plug - part under the coffee table was resting on broken bits and fell in 1 corner, needs a small support added to keep shelf from tilting - was like that when we arrived - nothing was a problem really, these are minor details for staff -

The cabins are so cozy with a fireplace the best gateway I had in a long time . I liked that I could cook for myself and nearby is a great hike. I highly recommend Backeddy Resort .
