the male receptionist that worked afternoons/evenings was so lovely and very helpful with directions and recommendations. The room was clean and comfortable. a little bit dated in terms of decor but nothing was wrong with the room. Handy to have vending machines and a water dispenser on the 2nd floor. the lady in the bar/restaurant next door called tracey was really nice, nothing was too much trouble and she provided great service, The pizza was very tasty! the location was perfect, right next to the skytrain and a shop.

the room was a little dated in terms of decor

Great location. It was clean, and the bed was comfy. We heard an occasional CP Rail train but otherwise quiet. We had a great view of the river on the 4th floor. There was a skylight and a large sitting area on our floor. The front desk was friendly.

The TV was not easy to turn on. You have to connect the monitor to the box, but once you get it, it is easy.

I was greeted by a lovely person at front desk who let me check in an hour or so earlier than expected, which was great. The room was large, tall ceilings, big bed - way more than I expected for the price. The location is right next to the skytrain and plenty of good restaurants plus a supermarket in walking distance. For the price, this is one of the best places in the Vancouver area, even if you do have to sit on the train for quite a while to get into the city proper.

In my room the water barely drained at all in the sink - they could do a bit more work making sure those sinks are cleaned of whatever gunk a previous guest jammed down there. The hotel is also right above a bar and next to the skytrain tracks, so it's not quiet. Personally that doesn't bother me, but your mileage may vary.

The room was pretty big, the AC was working and the ceiling fan was a nice touch. We all were pretty tired from a long day of travels so we slept pretty well, we didn't hear any of the noice I read about on previous comments

LOCATION, it is right next to the train station and there were a lot of strange, obnoxious, loud, intimidating guys just out side the hotel door. There is no Parking on the building, there is street parking that is free from 8 pm to 8 am or garage parking across the street for $12 but it doesn't look too safe, thankfully I didn't have any issues leaving my car in the garage

The check-in process was smooth. The room was neat and tidy and the beds were comfortable. Centrally located - Columbia Skytrain station was next door. The promenade is opposite the hotel and made for good walks and photo ops. Many restaurants near the hotel - Angelina's Dutch Corner serves All Day Breakfast, Subway nearby, Shawarma & Falafel cart nearby. New Westminister SkyTrain station and shopping center are a 5min walk from the hotel.

The only downside was the sound of traffic at night. The sound died down as the night progressed.

We liked the Met Hotel. It was clean and priced right. It has a bar and restaurant downstairs. It was close to other restaurants and a really nice park, all within walking distance. We stayed here the night before our cruise. It is a drive to the cruise terminal.

We paid a little more to get a river view. There wasn't much of a view from our room of the Frazer River.

This hotel is a fine example of a boutique hotel. Old but facilities have been restored, passionate staff!! Hats off to you guys and gals at the desk. 3 busroutes stop right outside the front door. Columbia Skytrain station is directly next door. So backpackers and others using transit, nirvana. I spent a few days here, parking is a bit of an issue. Many quality eating places are close.

Overnight parking was $12/nt. extra, Locals like to smoke pot in front of hotel(public sidewalk). Strong smell if you have street facing room. You can offload your stuff using the temporary loading parking about 50 meters from the Hotel front door. If you stay in back facing rooms, transit (skytrain) noise could be a factor.

My initial room was next to the Sky train, and it was very difficult to sleep. However, when I explained my concerns to the female Rep. Sorry, can't remember her name she was very nice and offered me another room. That room was much more comfortable overlooking the Fraser River. Appreciated her help so much since I was there for my brother's funeral, and I was very stressed.

The room not being cleaned every day. I understand Covid and all, but there should be some way that the room can be cleaned up.

We had a great stay. Room is very clean updated and we had a dog friendly room. The room was spacious and. Nicely done. Each floor has a seating area with a microwave and at least on our floor vending machines for essentials. Pub in the same complex. All good. The area around the hotel, well it is what is. No problems experienced. Great place to walk on the shore of the Fraser River. We will be back.

It’s all good. There are a lot of street people but they are friendly and pretty harmless.

The location is incredibly convenient, in downtown New West and 10 metres from the Sky Train. the hotel is nicely maintained and historically interesting. Rooms are comfortable. Pub is welcoming.

Only wish we’d hit a river view. The station view is just concrete walls.
