The Adventure Inn was a great hostel. We were in a private room so we had a bit more space, but in the main hostel there was lots of space to cook, relax, eat and plenty of outdoor seating, so a really nice relaxed atmosphere. A great location too within easy walking distance of the bus stop at the Adventure Centre, and also walking distance from town. Very well organised in the fridges and shelf space and by self-catering we really kept our costs down. We had to ask for towels and a hairdryer, but both were free and readily available. Also there was a great space to store luggage after check out which meant we didn't have to be lugging it around with us all day.

We could hear our neighbours above, so ear plugs were handy, but no big deal and expected in such a big hostel.

The backyard is a wonderful gathering spot, the communal kitchen functions beautifully, the staff is friendly and helpful, the slackline provided our kids (and the adults!) with endless entertainment, and the room was comfortable. There are lots of young, outdoorsy climber types here but also plenty of families with little kids, older folks out for adventures and everything in between. Really appreciated the diversity and we met many lovely people from all over.

The kitchen could use more forks. That’s it, that’s my only criticism.

Hostel vibe-hotel lodging is exactly right. My family of 5 absolutely loved this concept. It’s been our favorite Canadian lodging. There are so many fascinating people to meet, but lots of places for privacy as well. You can easily stroll into down for food, or make use of the well stocked kitchen. More room in the front than I expected and lots of security. We booked the private room (6 bucks for the 5 of us) and got exactly that-privacy and comfort. I wish every city in the world had a Squamish inn!

For some reason -not sure of this is typical out of there was a problem- they closed the washrooms for cleaning ~30’ before checkout. They had washrooms available in a lower floor but this was inconvenient. I don’t understand why the scheduled cleaning wouldn’t happen after guests had checked out, at 11. Maybe my experience of unusual tho.

A clean, well managed and organized Hostel. Kudos to Josh and his volunteers! Coming in every night to a big multi-generational family of fellow travellers was a comfort - guests were like a happy family all under one roof. It was a bit like coming home. Josh takes interest in his guests and goes out of his way to help everyone and make them comfortable.

I had never slept in a dorm before and found it could be a bit noisy at night - my learning curve, next time I will bring some ear plugs as I noticed other more seasoned hostel travellers were equipped with.

The location of the place was absolutely amazing with views to the Chief and located centrally in Squamish for all your daily needs. This place is impeccable clean and the staff is above and beyond kind, friendly and helpful. All other guests are like-minded people with high interest to nature in all its excursions. This led to many interesting talks in the rooms and in the kitchen/living area at night. I had to work in North Vancouver, and the drive to Squamish is faster and 100x times more beautiful to drive, than driving to downtown Vancouver. Have stayed in many B&B's, hostels in and around Vancouver/North Vancouver, and no place could live up to this place. All my future business trip's will be going to Squamish now.

Unlucky timing of the washing machines not working. Not a big deal at all.

Perfect situation has a super kind atmosphere and is very close to a lot of restaurants, amenities, and, of course, the beautiful Sea-to-Sky corridor. The room was nice too, and the shared bathroom clean and exactly as expected.

Parking spots are limited, not too much of a burden though, as you can park alongside the access road. So really, if I had to pick something, there's that. But not much of a problem :-)

Very well organised facility. I stayed in a hotel-style double room with ensuite, and it was excellent. I also used the communal kitchen and dining area, and chatted with the many friendly hostel guests and staff. I was skiing in Whistler most days, and able to walk 10 minutes on the path beside the inlet up to the Adventure Centre and back to catch the SkyLynx shuttle bus that operates from Vancouver to Squamish to Whistler. This worked out much better value than staying in Whistler. The same path is a 10 minute walk into downtown Squamish in the other direction, to supermarkets, restaurants and other stores. All in all, this was an excellent stay.

Everything worked really well.

Central location close to bus routes and shops, but tucked away next to river from lazy afternoons in the sun on the patio. Large clean bathrooms. Kitchen well fitted with plenty of fridge space. Helpful staff. Room fans.

Lack of efficient curtains, overly firm mattress and summer heat in a room facing the highway where you can't leave your window open for the breeze due to the traffic noise.

The organisation in the kitchen was excellent. Loads of equipment. A great system for storing food in the fridge & cupboards. TV Rooms was really chilled and comfy.

More shared bathrooms. Only 2 showers per floor.

Great location, handy for walking to restaurants and bars Lots of wildlife surprisingly nearby, including seals in th river. Clean room, hotel standard rather than hostel.

We were next to the kitchen and it was a bit noisy, even after the quiet ime (10pm). Suggest you request a room other than room 1 if booking hotel rooms.
