Such a breathtaking view from the rooms, we had 3rd floor and first and both rooms are facing beach shore. It is simply amazing that you can see this beauty from your room and hear the waves if only open the sliding door!!! It worth staying at this hotel because of the view and nice beach + territory. Breakfasts included were a huge plus as well. Personal did their best to bring more food once something was gone, thank you for your hard work. It was always clean and beautiful at the restaurant. It was enough of few things to choose from to have a nice delicious breakfast! Customer service was excellent and very helpful, thank you for that! I would stay at this hotel again for sure!
Our family really needed a bigger fridge instead of small one, we had some food to cook but freezer wasn’t there. So that would be a nice thing to have. But luckily receptionists helped us to store our frozen food in the fridge for a common use.

Fantastic setting Lovely food in the restaurant and the staff in the restaurant were very friendly.
The lady on reception. Parker was lovely but the other woman on reception when we arrived and when we left should not be dealing with customers. Her attitude stank. She was very rude and unapproachable. Vile woman. The cleaners. The room was not tended to properly. We had to go looking for toilet paper, tea and coffee on the second day. The bed was not made properly so much so we had to completely strip it and make it ourselves because the cleaner had only pulled the top covers up and left the fitted sheet all screwed up. You don’t expect to make your own bed in a hotel.

This beachfront resort is wonderful! The location is fantastic--away from the crowded town of Tofino, yet close enough to be there within 10 minutes by car and about 1/4mile off the highway. Espresso at Tofitian Cafe, Tacofino, Chocolate Tofino & other food & sundries are within walking distance. Take your bikes, surfboard, kite, beach toys and hiking boots. There is so much to do & see in the area! The rooms all have a view of McKenzie Beach. Walking paths from each building lead you easily to the beach (no stairs or rocks or hills). The resort has a lovely lawn that faces the beach with several picnic tables & areas of Adirondack chairs & firepits as well as at least one barbecue area. The gym & hot tub are lovely. Our large room had a king bed that was very comfortable & was equipped like a condo complete with a refrigerator (no freezer), coffee pot, microwave, sink, dishes, pans, etc.
The daily breakfast was nice and offers either scrambled eggs or egg burritos alternating days and waffles, French toast or pancakes on alternating days. When we were there the only meat option was bacon. They also offer muffins, toast, granola, yogurt, bread, oranges, apples & a few other items. It was adequate but not amazing.

Pretty much everything, every room has an ocean view, you can sit on your balcony to watch sunsets and sunrise. Rooms were lovely, beds were very comfy, breakfast was good. I used to enjoy grabbing a free coffee in the morning and go for a beach walk, what a lovely way to start the day The staff were lovely, they really made us feel welcome.
It was just a lovely place to stay, there is nothing to dislike. Some did complain that the breakfast felt a little like a school meal time, you have to clean up after yourself. Personally, this wasn't problem.

The location and atmosphere was fantastic. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Lots of amenities available (gym, hot hub, laundry, vending machines etc.) The ownership of the resort by the First Nations as well was very nice. Lots of chances to be exposed to artwork and cultural information that went way beyond just an ordinary stay.
I hated the excessive use of unnecessary plastic. Some Canadian hotels go crazy for the overuse of plastic and this resort seems to also be one of them. Each paper cup and plastic cup individually wrapped with plastic. Every collection of sugar, stirrer, tea bag in own individual wrappers, needing to use about 5-6 small plastic containers of tiny portions of butter for toast. Quite sad / disappointing; contrary to what the resort seemed to be about. The manager at the bar one night last week was also quite rude to us and we were made to feel quite unwelcome one night. However, these are small points that didn't overshadow a really amazing experience.

We were pleased with our stay from beginning to end. The staff was welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, the location on the beach was wonderful.
We were surprised the hotel was not better equipped to handle the power outage. The generator was not functioning and we were not offered any hospitality in the way of food or beverage - not even a muffin or drink - when the restaurant was unable to serve breakfast.

The view from our room was exceptional! Wow. Access to the beach was perfect, and we made good use of the extensive smooth sand for walking and storm watching. It was surreal, especially with the storm, including 115mm (4.5") of rain we got in one 24hrs stretch. The size of the room was great, so no issues with all our stuff on a multiple night stay. Amenities included fridge (with bottles of water), microwave, toaster, kettle with plenty of tea, coffee maker with plenty of coffee (and real cream!), a large shower with good pressure (seems hard to find these days), and the provided soaps & lotions had wonderful fragrances. Even having a magnified and lit pullout mirror in the bathroom - bonus! I might mention, the unending cookies and specialty coffee machine in the lobby was well utilized and appreciated by us. :-) All the staff we encountered were very friendly and knowledgable. We were so grateful they were all there working on Christmas! All in all we were thrilled with the experience, and very much look forward to a return visit.
We couldn't think of a thing that could be improved for us. It was all around a wonderful and memorable experience! We will be recommending the Tin Wis Resort for sure.

Location amazing. Dogs allowed is the best. Being on the ground floor. Fire pits Decently clean Parking awesome. Staff were super friendly and polite
BEDS!! took 3 days and an adjustment to recover from these beds. The breakfast was ok.. not enough options for diet restricted. Ran out of Ketchup!!! Didn't refill the buffet enough my son didn't get to eat. Yogurt machine ran out. Tables gross and not wiped between users. Online says resturant is open it was not. But we did see ppl dining in there everynight Nothing to accommodate dogs. Food/water dishes, poop bags(even around property), dog towels to wipe their paws Our keys were deactivated on our last night so we were locked out of our room for a bit No extra blanket No recycle.bin All this said is just suggestions for Improvements we still had a fantastic time and will be back.

The location and view is amazing. Room is comfy and clean. Staff are stellar - super friendly and receptive to questions. Within an hour, I lost my room card and spilled hot chocolate over the floor and bed. Staff took both in stride. Housekeeping was done for the night but the front desk person came and helped me clean my mess. As someone with allergies, I appreciated the thoughtfulness of them asking if it was okay for them to use a spray with a bit of a scent. The breakfast is great with more food than usually supplied at hotels. Pancakes, frititas, muffins, cereals, tater tots, sausages, fruit, etc. Browns Socialhouse was their usual good food. The staff were excellent. They were easy to adapt some food items. The manager was floating around and stopped to check with tables. They noticed me reading a book and suggested a book they were enjoying, one I will definitely pick up.
I only have 2 suggestions. 1) Have a light on the patio so one can sit outside and listen to the ocean and read a book, even once it's dark. 2) Supply a dimmer on the bathroom light or a nightlight someone can use instead of the light. The light is extremely bright. As someone with sensory issues, I couldn't use it. Actually, 1 solution to both these issues is to supply a small portable light, either supplied in the room or available upon request. I had a book light in my car and used that but something stronger would have been nice.
