Loved the beds, the bath collection and the breakfast was hearty and delicious! Loved the location and the rooms were super clean and well arranged. Any staff we encountered were super friendly and efficient. Trudy from the breakfast bar deserves an award for customer service! She made our stay. Front desk staff was informative and super helpful.

Had some issues with room charge being charged on incorrect credit card. Had a hold and the upgrade charge on one card and full charge off of the incorrect card, even though upon check out went to the desk to ensure it would be correct and was still charged incorrectly.

We were very impressed with our first stay at the Chateau Saint John. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, both at the front desk and in the breakfast area. Our room was spotless, quiet, and large - having a seating area was an unexpected bonus. Having breakfast and parking included in the price made the Chateau Saint John a much better deal than the nearby hotels in the Uptown area.

Friendlist breakfast server I've ever met. Front desk staff was also friendly, but somewhat not-knowledgeable (recomended an asian place for dinner based SOLELY on Google that turned out to be AWFUL).

We arrived and the A/C was out of order. Front desk thought they knew what the issue was; said they would correct it immediately (they though the circuit breaker needed to be reset). Fifteen minutes later, the problem was not resolved. Went down to the front desk to personally see what the issue might be. Front desk staff said "we reset the circuit breaker". They never called us to let us know what was going on, but rather waited for another complaint from us. There was NO FOLLOW-UP. When I told them the issue remained unresloved, they gave us another room.

The breakfast was good. The staff was pleasant.

There are no restaurants close by. When you arrive late around dinner time you don't want to go out again to eat. It would be nice if the Chateau offered dining/bar. There is a dining room and they offer breakfast, so I think having a small bar menu would be nice. Even if it had a very limited menu it would be convenient. We travel to Nova Scotia a few times a year. We probably won't stay here again because its easier to just walk and grab a bite to eat at other places in St. John.

We only stayed one night but found the hotel to have easy and plentiful parking, reception super friendly, room was very clean, spacious and quiet and a great breakfast. The complimentary laundry (two washers, two dryers) was also a bonus.

It's next to a bit of a busy road but we couldn't hear this from our room and it's still very close to downtown Saint John we walked over to the market and only took 10 / 15 mins.

This was a last minute booking due to a change in travel plans. We had just driven by the hotel and liked the look of it. The room was surprisingly large. Everything was clean and inviting. Coffee maker was in the room. Lots of pillows and a comfy mattress. The bathroom was remarkably big which was a treat. Breakfast was included in the price and offered both hot and cold options. The hotel is less than a ten minute drive to the Saint John/Digby ferry pier which worked great for us.

There was road construction so entering the parking lot was a little tricky but that of course is not the fault of the hotel.

The room was big and very well laid out. Beds very comfortable. We liked everything about the stay except one thing.

The TV was hardwired into the wall, so I could not connect my computer to it via an HDMI cable and use the TV as a monitor and stream content from the Internet. Many hotel chains enable this functionality. I would appreciate it if you would take this into consideration.

Very well appointed rooms, comfortable, and excellent full breakfast included. Great value for the price. Felt like we were at a much more expensive hotel! I have unfortunately forgotten the name of the lovely woman who presides over the breakfast room and serves up the hot foods, but she was a delight! We had no problem walking the mile or so to a restaurant by the port for dinner, but be aware that it is a hilly walk and includes crossing one busy intersection with pedestrian lights before getting to picturesque little streets.

The breakfast was awesome and the waitress was top notch. The rooms were large, clean and comfy beds. Nothing was overlooked. We are planning another visit in February as we travel from Canada to USA.

There was a bar but no restaurant for the evening. However, there were many exceptional restaurants just a very short drive away.

Room was large, well appointed, clean, and bright. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was exceptional; I usually pass due to the ordinary and bland offerings. There were cooks to prepare hot foods and the cold selections were varied and well presented. Underground, heated garage was a nice option, too. Will be back!!!
