Bed is super comfy. Front staff is pleasant and thorough with information. Having little store in lobby. Nice quiet reading nook with rocking chairs and fireplace ambiance. Nice decent size showers.

For price point expensive. Being a hotel on airport, special rates should be created for guests that are 12hrs or less. Full price for 6 hr for connections is a crazy amount of money to get a little bit of rest. Easy enough to confirm with staff with a booking ticket. Other complaint is for price point, 2 bottles of water SHOULD be included in our rooms. It is hotel eqquiette. My hubby has a CCAP machine which requires firstly, distilled water, next best reg bottled. Expensive to buy water for us, for only using room a short time, yet paid a FULL price, especially when needing requirements for medical I look forward to the⁹⁸⁸⁸

Location. You can easily walk to and from the airport via a walkway. The walkway even has moving belts for ease of access. My room as very quiet and clean. The bed was comfortable. I appreciated the mini market in the lobby and the fact they had gluten and dairy free options, including in their restaurant menus.

The hotel and rooms are kept intentionally dim for some reason. There are extremely limited food options at the airport especially after 6 pm. I had to have dinner at the hotel which was insanely expensive and below average quality. It’s the kind of food you’d find on a plane. They should be able to do much better especially for the price. I felt the hotel was overpriced despite the fact I booked in advance but they’re the only one located at the airport itself.

Signage wasn’t the best on the ground floor to point to lobby on floor above. Staff dealt well with gluten free food requirement for one of our group, Although it was unclear whether it was safe to eat the GF pizza as it’s put in the same oven as the regular pizzas. There were a couple of other options on the menu that were ok though. No tea bags available (they were all out) and you are instructed request a kettle for the room as there’s only a coffee machine present. Staff brought the kettle on request though - which was great.

The restaurant, I’ll be at casual in appearance, was superior. I am not a great fan of pizza, but I loved the pizza I had at this pizza café. The wine choice was good, too, and the staff, personable and efficient kudos to Alta hotel for having this kind of restaurant as part of its Amenities. I love the cleanliness and quietude of the rooms and the beds are so comfortable; one just sinks right into them. It is great to have a good night sleep before an early morning flight. I would like to see better prices, especially for seniors. Yes, I am a senior, and it is a stretch to pay the cost of one night at an Alt hotel. There used to be a 10% discount for CAA members. It is too bad that that discount has been discontinued.

We liked every thing. We stayed here once during a hurricane and this hotel was the only one with power they thought ahead and brought in generators . The staff and restaurant kept going, We will stay here every time we go to Nova Scotia. The price is a little high but walking out of the lobby to check in at your flight was amazing. No planning to be there at a certain time you just walk through the lobby and the check in for flights is 1 floor down.

Check in was friendly and swift. Room was not huge but very comfy bed, excellent shower, great view of the tarmac and airport from our corner room. Lobby pizza resto was delicious. Proximity to HFX airport perfect, we could just walk thru to our gates in the morning.

A little trouble figuring out the shower knobs but that was probably just idiot me. General room lighting was fine but we could have done with an ordinary table lamp somewhere not just the bright overheads and the superbright bedside pinpoint lighting. Just a lamp that we could have turned on while talking and watching TV.

The staff at front desk and restaurant were welcoming and helpful. The hotel was very clean, and extremely convenient for an early flight the next morning. The room was conducive to a good night's sleep. It was quiet and comfortable, and the temperature of the room could be adjusted. The hotel restaurant was convenient, and the food was good.

It was not immediately clear how to get from car rental return to the hotel, especially because the hotel lobby is not on the first floor of the building. However, once we figured out where to go and how to get there, it was about a 3 minute, covered walk from rental car drop off to the hotel. It was also a quick covered walk from the hotel to the airport terminal the next morning. The only issue that could use improvement is that the room was fairly dark. The light fixtures are easily accessible and helpful for targeted lighting, but the room itself was a little shadowy.

The property is very convenient. It was very easy to drop off a rental car and then roll our luggage straight to our room and then over to the airport in the early morning. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant and though the menu is limited it was very good and other guests were friendly, and our waitress was exceptional.

I found it a little too dark, I know that is part of the style, but the hallways were very dark. The room was comfortable but in need of a bit of repair. Just wear and tear, stuff marks from luggage carts , some moisture damage in the bathroom. A side table on both sides of the bed would be nice. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding very nice. Finally a comfortable hotel pillow! The coffee maker was good and made a good cup of coffee. For the price of the room and the fact that there is a fridge they could consider real creamers . The shower was generous and there was lots of hot water. The rooms are very quiet, the only sounds we heard were a neighbours door.

Thoughtfully done. We were traveling with a dog and they had bowls and a bed ready for him in the room. The room itself was thoughtfully designed to provide a good night’s rest.

They could not sure accurate information on EV charging. There was an EV charger next to the hotel which no one told us about despite asking. They asked us to park in the daily airport parking. However chargers are in the park by hour section.

Wherever we travel, we always aim to stay in a hotel very close to the airport for the night before our flight (less stress). The Alt hotel is joined by a walkway to the Halifax Stanfield Airport. We found the hotel to be very modern, clean, with a comfortable bed. We had a room on the 10th floor with a great view of the runway. The restaurant has a fairly limited menu, but the food and cocktails were great. The staff in the restaurant were really friendly and happy, the service was excellent. The swimming pool is small, but really clean. I recommend this hotel.

Fairly limited restaurant menu. This hotel was a bit expensive compared with other hotels we stayed in during our vacation to Nova Scotia and PEI.
