The location is great! You can go walking to CN Tower, Rogers Centre, Scotia Bank arena, Chinatown... there is also a metro station near by and it's close to Union Station. Breakfast has a good selection of basic itens and the kitchen has all the necessary utilities if you want to cook. It's a good money for value option. I booked a single room with a private bathroom and it was great for a short stay. It was a lot cheaper than most of the hotels in the same region, the room is small but has everything we needed, the AC worked well. We were able to leave our bags in the locker before and after check out.
The check in time is very late (3 pm) and the check out is at 11. There is no possibility of an earlier check in even if you have a flight that arrives super early. The staff could be more friendly, they rotate a lot and most of them were not very kind. There is a homeless camp in the square right in front of the building, we didn't have any problems with them or any odd situation but it is worth mentioning.

The location is excellent, simple but free breakfast was a plus and well made bunk bed with curtains gives a sense of privacy. Lockers in the room was sufficient. Big kitchen as well. Enough space in the room in my opinion and few spots to relax.
Smelly bathroom…. Staff seems to do the strict minimum and are probably the less smiling and helpful I have met in decades of travel - all but one person. (They are very friendly between them thought) Hard to know who is actually working or just hanging… Based on my experience and the ones from fellow travellers no idea why a whatsapp number is provided for late checkin. You will not be answered. Being charged 15$ for late checkin was also a first…

The location was a convenient 15 mins walk from Union Station. However if you do have heavy bags, it's just a short Uber ride away. Many dining options in the area, and short walk from pick-up point for Niagara Falls with Queen Tour. The rooms, bathrooms and showers were very clean and well maintained. New set of bed linen for each guest upon check in. Bed/mattress was comfortable, I slept very well. Power sockets readily available near your bed. Curtains available for every bed which gives you good privacy during your stay. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Check in was relatively easy but do note you need a physical credit card for check-in. Virtual cards are not accepted. There is also an additional city tax implemented that's not reflected online which you will have to pay upon check in. The room I was in (building 9) had a very loud and squeaky door leading to the bunk beds so each time someone uses the door, you are disturbed. But nothing some noise-cancelling earphones or ear plugs can't fix.

Location was amazing, near so many things and transit stations. And even though I had booked a 14 people room, it didn’t feel crowded because the room was big and well laid out. I loved that the showers/bathrooms were inside the room so we didn’t have to leave the room to get ready.

clean and tidy
the security staff a little bit not polite manners when asking the guests, but i think it would be better the prevention by not allowing people to smoke and drink in the rooms. in general quiet good, just i realize in my second day while i was out of the room, people paid to stay in the same room drinking and smoking in the room eventhough smoking was not allowed and also they used my bed … anyways i just told the front desk. the milk was spoiled fourth day and some rotten fruits in the next days, I think that is not nice.

The staffs are very accomodating. Easy to transact with. That facility is good, clean and easy access to nearby places... approx.15mins away from union Station.... I am very happy with my stay. Definitely will book again soon...
The bed. it is comfortable yes, but because it is made of spring. Once you move the entire bed bunk will gonna move so my bedmate is sensitive in my simple move , I'm trying to be carefulL, but i didnt mean sometimes specially when im already asleep, she always talk to me😅🤣 every morning.and I'm always ask an apology ofcourse

This hostel offers excellent value for money, with a location that's hard to beat, especially for that price - close to everything and easily accessible. The staff were very friendly and provided great tips for exploring Toronto. Despite being centrally located, the hostel was generally quiet, ensuring a restful stay. It's a nice touch that they provide complimentary snacks, breakfast, and drinks. The cleanliness of the essentials stood out too, as towels and bed linens came in sealed bags and felt fresh. Security is taken seriously, with a guard stationed at the main building.
The room was uncomfortably warm, and while there was air conditioning, it was noisy and ineffective. The bathroom cleanliness left much to be desired. Additionally, the setup of different buildings meant going outside to access the main building, which wasn’t ideal. WiFi connectivity was weak, adding to the inconvenience. Lastly, while the homeless people camping in the park across the street posed no direct threat, it was unsettling at night.

Excellent location, just 15 min walk from Union train station. Lots of eateries nearby including good vegan food options within one minute walking distance. Breakfast served at the hostel is very good and includes fruits. Staff will respond only if approached. Dorm is basic, washrooms are okay -they desperately need to add hooks and some shelves. One bathroom has no hooks at all, the other has just two. I like it that they have two levels of access. The door to the dorm no 9 however is very noisy and has the potential to wake everyone up. There's some negative comments I was concerned about regarding squatters outside the hostel. When I was there the squatters continued to be there but they are inside camp tents and at least to me didn't pose any safety or security risk and there was no noise or any untoward incident while I was there
Staff are a bit introverted, not friendly. Also they insist on waiting upto check in time even if room is available. Nothing other than what's already noted below

It was my second stay in this hostel, great satisfaction, the room was spacious, the staff nice and helpful, good breakfast included in the price and most importantly the best location.
I think the only things I would complain about are two things and that, in the bathroom, there is a very small space between the shower and the toilet, in terms of opening the door, but that is a small thing, however, secondly, the air conditioning, which unfortunately, thanks to my roommates, went on all night, was terribly loud and above all it was not possible to set the temperature there at all other than 75 and when you wanted to adjust it, it even went lower, so it was quite cold, but unfortunately they wanted to keep it all night, so we were a little bit cold there, which is okay, man layers more on top of each other, but it won't affect the volume. I'd rather be in favor of a fan if anything.

Close to city center. you can easily walk from Billy Bishop airport to the hostel within 30 minutes. Very friendly staff. Nice room with curtains on the bed and own bathroom. normal power plugs for each bed (without USB plug) Breakfast was good. They had bananas, apples, bread, cereals, butter, peanut butter, jam. Also tea + coffee the whole day. Well equipped kitchen.
Breakfast time was a bit short (8-10 am). We went there at 9 am and wanted to eat cereals but milk was empty. So we asked if there's more milk but they said no and didn't refill it. So we put water in the already made cereal bowl instead... Apart from that the staff was friendly.
