It was a lovely house surrounded with flowers and a lovely stream running beside (Sault-a-la-Puce). Marie was friendly and welcoming. The house is beautifully decorated with wonderful art everywhere. It was very clean and spotless. The bathroom, while small, had modern fixtures. The room was well appointed and even the color scheme and floors were well thought out and tasteful. The breakfast was amazing! It was abundant with freshly made croissants and other baked goods (you could smell them baking at 7am!), fresh fruit, homemade preserves, good coffee. My light and fluffy salmon and goat cheese omelet was probably the best omelet I've ever had, compliments of Michel, the chef.

When you opened your window, you could hear the traffic noise from the highway nearby.

It’s a beautifully renovated home turned into a bnb style hotel. the included breakfast was INCREDIBLE and the hosts were delightful. the beds were super comfy and the bathroom was exceptionally clean with everything provided. 10/10 stay.

the only thing is, there’s no fridge in the room but other than that, nothing. everything that could be portrayed as bad, is avoidable (eg: the ladder from the patio isn’t the most stable, but the front door is open 24/7 so using the back one isn’t necessary)

The owner graciously changed us to a ground floor room to save me from the stairs when she noticed I was recovering from ankle surgery. We really enjoyed having a glass of wine by the canal before we ate dinner in our room and a had good night's sleep. Breakfast the next morning was delicious with wonderful coffee and bread basket to start and then your choice of 6 different omelets along with fruit and potatoes.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Property is right on Avenue Royal and driving on this road alone is a treat, especially during the colorful fall season. Breakfast is nowhere else to compare with. We stayed 4 nights and had tried all types of omelette they offer and they are all delicious. Location is close to Quebec City and most of the attractions along the St. Lawrence. This is a place that we will definitely bring our family and friends to.

Homemade huge breakfast (fantastic omelette), big bathroom and comfortable bed. The staff was so kind and tried to help us giving a kettle that was not included in the room. Best stop near Quebec city!

The auberge was lovely and so typical of old Charlevoix, The breakfasts were excellent with lots of choice, set in a pleasant dining area. We loved sitting on the wide sunny verandah. There were no dinners except a special one on Saturday with an outstanding table de hote. The owners were totally present and delivered a high standard of food and service. They were also friendly and charming. The furnishings in the house were fitting and attractive as were the many paintings by local artists, one of whom has a Gallery next door. There was a fridge in our room.

The auberge was on the Rue Royale, one of the original settler roads and it was fun to cycle on, however the auberge was far from any restaurant or store. The closest were in St. Anne de Beaupre about 15 km away. Everything else was wonderful.
