The women who checked us in were really nice and very helpful. We had an early morning flight the next day and they even arranged for a taxi to be there to take us to the airport. The apartment complex was well maintained and very secure (gated; security guards). The apartment was well built and not one of those places that looks super new and nice in the pictures, but is low quality when you see it in person. There were lots of workers from the copper mine staying there and it seems like the hotel caters to them and that's probably a big reason that everything is so well done. They had a cafeteria with a dinner buffet and the food was great.

Nice option if you somehow end up in Calama. Clean room/bathroom etc. Booking price was cheaper than paying directly at the hotel so I booked via booking.com while in the lobby. The "hotel" is really more like a few apartment buildings (see pic on Booking) but same difference. Parking was secure with gate and guard. Seems like it's mostly lodging for local miners.

Seems like the miners staying at the place really like to back their trucks up a lot and their trucks always beep - loudly - when backing up. Dinner buffet was waaaaaay overpriced at around $25 US and the food was distinctly average.

The apartment was clean, bright, and spacious. The reception was friendly and they prepared breakfast to-go bags for us, as our flight was at 5am and we would miss the breakfast buffet. A 10 minute drive to the airport.

The kitchen did not have pots, pans, dish soap or cleaning sponges. These were provided when asked, however I recommend looking through the kitchen early in the day so you have time to request what you may need.

Geotel is an excellent stopover for the airport. It is centrally located in Calama and has ample free parking. The 2 bedroom suites were spacious, clean and comfortable. There are kitchen facilities if needed, however we chose to eat in the restaurant. The welcome drinks were a nice bonus and we enjoyed the ample buffet (3 course meal with soft drinks) whilst sitting in the conservatory area of the restaurant. The staff were attentive and helpful throughout our stay.

The hotel is used by workers from the local copper mine. The restaurant was very busy at breakfast time, however we managed to find a table and the breakfast buffet was ample and quickly replenished.

Nice, clean, spacious, with good buffet breakfast included and welcome drinks. The suite with two bedrooms had two en-suite bathrooms, a spacious living room with kitchen.

When checking in, we asked the reception personnel to book us a taxi for the next morning at 8:15 since we jad to catch a flight. They said they'll do it, however in the morning no taxi was booked and the person at the reception kept asking us when we had booked it instead of focusing on solving the problem and getting us a taxi. In the end a taxi arrived, more than 30 mins after the original time...

Hotel is in a compound and felt very safe. Outside area did not feel safe. Someone at the gate at all times checking people in, felt safe to walk at night alone. Parking was well organized At check in got a voucher for 2 free drinks at the bar which was nice. Bar+ Restaurant and garden were very will decorated. Amazing WIFI connection. Very fast and worked ALL over the property not just the rooms.

Room had only 2 pillows (1 per person) Would have appreciated 2 pillows and it is tough for most to sleep on 1. Staff at check in were a bit rude (Maybe cause I did not speak spanish?) I had all my documents but was still given a hard time.

Nice and calm rooms (no traffic noise), most of the staff very friendly and obliging. Everything nice and clean. They realized our wish for a room without stairs and helped with every concern we had!

Restaurant: The variety of choices during dinner buffet could be more. Breakfast is till 10am, we were asked for "last order" already way before 10am as at 10am SHARP the buffet was put away. In no other hotel I have experienced this so far.

Very clean, excellent facilities and very friendly staff. Convenient restaurant in the complex. Totally a good value for the money.

A long walk from where the taxi leaves you to your room and if you have heavy luggage it’s not pleasant but honestly I didn’t ask if it would have been possible to enter/be dropped off at your room.

It was comfortable and the breakfast is very complete and good

The kitchen didn’t have things to clean the dishes and just had the exact number of 4 cutlery. If you want to pay in pesos with debit card, than you will pay a 19% tax. And they just accept the exact amount in cash. The staff at the reception wasn’t very helpful…

- My room was very hot with no A/C or fan (it was okay once I could open the door at night for cool air, but in the afternoon it was uncomfortable) - With heavy bags, it was a fairly long walk from reception to my room, followed by the need to climb stairs (no elevator)
