Terrantai is a wonderful oasis of calm and hospitality. It’s beautifully designed with cosy rooms and plenty of communal space which they have thoughtfully laid out and decorated to give a very unique experience. We chilled by the pool and sat in the candlelight in the veranda area. We had superb breakfasts even on mornings when we needed to leave very early for a trip . The staff are so kind and helpful from the moment you arrive . They provide a wine tasting and lots of nibbles available in the afternoon. And chilled drinking water on tap. It’s just amazing . It’s in a great location you walk out of the door and you are in the hustle and bustle of the little town but once inside Terrantai it’s cosy and peaceful. We wouldn’t hesitate to return . Thank you .

There is nothing to dislike . Our room was compact but hot water is available in reception /dining area to make drinks at any time .

the hotel location is simply perfect, because it is just steps away from rua Caracoles, and all little shops and restaurants. Breakfast is great, although we had to skip a few breakfasts because the tours usually begin really early in the morning - but you have the option to have breakfast prior to tours, as some of the items will be available, like yogurt, coffee, cheese, bread etc. We stayed in a room with garden view and it was really nice, the beds are super comfortable. Things that make the hotel super special: they offer tea all day, a snack time in the afternoon available with nuts and dried fruits, and they also offer a happy hour with wine in the evening, where the hotel guests get together to have some free wine and chat!

The rooms are small, I wish there was space for a chair so we could sit comfortably after the tours to rest a little. At night time it would be great to have more luminosity in the room, because it gets a little dark.

Everything was good this is a special place. The staff were extremely accommodating. Great at communication before and during the stay. They did a wonderful job facilitating or setting the stage for as much guest interaction as they wanted, but evening wine time was one of our favorite parts of the stay, chatting with the other guests about what they had done that day or past travels. It was like a grownup version of hanging out in a common room, which I hadn’t realized how much I’d missed. The location is perfect. Behind the church and 1 block off of the main drag. The hotel is beautiful which you can see from the pictures, with lots of little unique touches. I can’t wait to come back.

There is a little bit of street noise in the mornings when all the tours are heading out, but since you will probably be on the tours, not a problem ;)

The staff are the highlight of this hotel. When I was struck down with altitude sickness, they were very helpful to my husband in advising him where the pharmacy was, giving me snacks, and keeping an eye on how I was feeling. The location is great, in the middle of town, on a quiet road only 50m from many bars and restaurants. Our room (21) was very hot (no air-conditioning, just a ceiling fan), and at times became unbearable, particularly if you're ill in bed recovering from dehydration, and sickness! The bathroom was also unbearably hot, with no natural ventilation, so not particularly pleasant to spend much time in. The hotel has a swimming pool and a small outdoor deck, which is very pleasant (especially when trying to escape the heat of the room), and the breakfast area and outdoor dining areas are also pleasant for the free afternoon tea and free wine tasting. We didn't really get the full benefit of the breakfast with the egg station as we were out on tours early each day, but the other breakfast items were quite basic, but perfectly adequate.

We would have been happier with air-conditioning or having a room where we felt safe leaving a window open at night. All the rooms are located on the ground floor, and so we didn't want to leave the bedroom window open whilst we were sleeping. We noticed that some of the rooms had higher windows located in the bathrooms, which may well have given one the ventilation needed to cool the room down. So don't stay in room 21 if you want to open a window.

The hotel is centrally located in San Pedro de Atacama. It is half a block to the main intersection and has tons of restaurants within a minute or two of walking. Their breakfast had hot made to order omlettes and fresh juices. We had an early morning excursion (5am) and the staff had breakfast ready for us. Moises went out of his way to help us and Luciana was amazing. The staff is very friendly and personable. I would highly recommend this hotel during your stay.

The hotel itself is a peaceful oasis in the centre of San Pedro. As soon as we came in the front door we could relax. The little pool was cold but it was lovely to lie in the shade next to it and the sound of the running water was soothing. The room was a good size (pool view double) and the bed comfortable. No aircon but with the fan and the ability to leave the window open at night (and feel safe because of the 24 hour staff) meant we didn’t need aircon.

Pool was a bit cold. Car park was difficult to find.

The staff were so accommodating, so friendly, remembered my name, and they couldn't do enough to help you. The daily tea 4-6pm and wine 6-8pm was an excellent way to meet fellow guests around the fire and socialise. I really appreciated this as a solo traveller as I find it more difficult to meet people when staying at nice hotels (Vs. Hostels). The hotel enabled this seamlessly. The location couldn't be better. The breakfast eggs were some of the best I've ever had. The bed was incredibly comfortable and warm, which was welcome after a very cold few days on the salt flats.

It's perfect. The only extra that would have been useful was if they had a laundry service.

El desayuno was excellent, lots of good choices and excellent service by the breakfast staff in making eggs. More generally, all the staff were very nice and I want to especially recognize the morning and late afternoon early evening reception staff. Both were excellent and extremely helpful.

I was concerned about the fumigation while we stayed there without advance notice and given respiratory problems.

Incredible hotel in the middle of the centre but feels like a private oasis the second you step inside! The rooms are the most comfortable we have had in all of Latin America. Hotel staff are so welcoming and friendly, giving excellent food recommendations and tours. Free wine tasting and cheese every night and a snack and tea bar during the day!

Nothing!

The location is very good. The place is very nice, even it is not very big overall. Cristian, one of the reception stuff is very polite and helpful with everything. The free wine (tasting) every day is included and very nice to relax and talk with other guests. Chile has excellent wines - this one is okay. The rooms are not to big for this price range, the bathroom feels to small, as there is not much place to put anything (towels etc.). If you have a car it is mostly not possible to stop for a longer time or even park in front of the entrance. Therefore the have a separate parking lot some 200 m away, who you gonna share with cars not just from the hotel.

Maybe there can be some noise by barking streets dogs at night (depending also on your room position), if you mind. The breakfast comes with fresh eggs and orange juice if you order, but the breakfast itself - comparing - is very poor. Tasteless bread and not eatable cake, low amount of fruits and worst coffee I had in two weeks in Chile. The boil it 24 h. As we checked out in the morning at 7 am the guy at the reception had not be there for 20 minutes! No one was there! Unacceptable! We need to get the key for the parking lot to catch our flight ... not really funny. In summary this hotel is way to expensive / overpriced for what are you getting in total.
