First of all, let's start with saying that there is simply no better location in entire Chengdu. It's really close to Huaxiba metro station and if you want within of 45 minutes of walk you can pretty much reach most of the places within first ring road. Secondly, the hotel's staff is really nice. They do try to help however they can and even speaking English language is fine. The hotel offered free upgrade to higher standard for some inconvenience (about that below), it was really nice big apartment with comfortable furnishings.

Well I wouldn't really say that it is fault of hotel, but the construction site noises were quite loud, you could basically hear those all the time from early hours until late evening. But then again, it's Chengdu... It's really hard to find in city centre location where there wouldn't be some construction site. Stayed in several hotels throughout many years in this city, and honestly it's not the worst that could have happened

There is breakfast available every morning 6.30 to 10am. The location was very close to a metro station which made it very convenient. The staff was very nice especially Ivy. You can get some free fridge magnets that are very cute and hotel exclusive. One of our suitcases had a loose screw, and the handyman came and helped me replace the screw and keep it secure in place. Room was also very big!

The building area is under construction or renovation, so sometimes the footpath isn't that nice to walk. Otherwise everything was very nice.

I am extremely surprised about our staying here. First of all, we checked in after midnight, and the staff has been really supportive in accommodating us with this request. All the staff spoke a really good English, the communication was excellent and we hadn't any issue at all with our staying. Everyone was very nice. They also helped us with our luggages (which were a lot and heavy) to bring them in the room. We were three people, and we have been provided with a huge room: the beds were super comfortable, the room had all facilities needed. The bathroom was great, the cleanliness was on point. The wi-fi worked really well. The breakfast was amazing: there was a lot of options, which I appreciate a lot, and everything was really good and tasty. The location was also very good, near the main square/plaza of Chengdu (we could get there in about 15 mins walking). To be honest, everything was exceptional - I have nothing to complain about at all. I definitely recommend this hotel and I think it is a great value for money. I would definitely stay here again if I go back to Chengdu.

Everything was great.

All spaces were very large; large shower, bedroom and living room. Kitchen was decent size. There was an oven, water boiler, fridge and washing machine. Safe also present in the room. The room was cleaned daily; was done very well. The gym was excellent; good variety of equipment. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There’s a 7/11 supermarket downstairs that’s open 24/7. Very convenient if you need something. I was travelling alone but this place is also excellent for families.

It’s a 5 minutes walk to the nearest metro station and it’s not very central. But it was easy to reach everything by metro. This is a critical point; not really an issue.

My room, located on the 31st floor of the building, was very spacious, with a huge comfortable bed and large windows providing an overview of the cityscape of Chengdu. Storage options for clothes / luggage were overwhelming and well laid out and a fully equipped kitchen made preparation of breakfasts a breeze. Hotel gym provided multiple options for working out (treadmills, elliptical machines). The hotel is located very close to a metro station, which is a great asset for exploring the city, and several sights (Jinli Street, Tianfu Square) are located within a walking distance. Members of the hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful, dedicated to their mission of making the guests feel as comfortable as possible.

It was not a big deal, but I had difficulties with connecting my cell phone to the free hotel WiFi. Laptop connection was more stable, but also here, I experienced intermittency and occasional problems with accessing certain websites.

Most beautiful city hotel I stayed in, in beautiful location. Lovely spacious rooms, well equipped. Very clean hotel with good breakfast. Staff so kind and helpful I’ll. ever forget this. May a girl from the reception ( not sure if her name is right) “saved my life” helping me out with the payment for the room and lack of working phone and internet. She is the only one out all receptionists speaking so well English there and deserves a good pay. Beside her the other girls are fantastic too, security man kind, honest and helpful. Found my daughter’s phone left in the main hall.

Deposit of 500 juan, which is bigger than an amount for the night.

- customer service is superb both before and during the trip (English is no issue) - room is spacious and clean, all items in good condition. the view is good over the river. I was happy to be here for 3 weeks. - location is excellent with subway line 1 and multiple bus lines minutes walk away from the building. It's easy for ubers to find as well. - breakfast is great, there are variety of food on weekly rotation, you can have noodles and eggs made to order as well. - my 4 year old played in the indoor playground everyday after breakfast with his new friend from the hotel for at least 1.5 hours. - there is security at ground level 24/7 and concierge is open 24/7 as well. I felt safe staying here. - there is a 7/11 at ground level of the building which is super convenient.

We loved the location - such a beautiful river and easy walking distance to Tianfu Square, People’s Park etc Our apartment was so spacious with two large en-suite bedrooms and massive lounge and dining area and an office !! Plus a well equipped kitchen.

It would have been more useful to have USB ports for charging phones. Breakfast was acceptable but not the range and choice we have found in other hotels in China. But these are both relatively minor points

excellent location, central, close to metro and on the riverside for strolling . vert good coffee place at the first floor. ours was a large family apartment with daily cleaning, baby cot, good sound isolation, fantastic views from 32nd floor over the river. convenient and good quality restaurant and gym etc. rooftop terrace with views on the fool moon. very helpful staff. with a toddler the place was ideal.

We stayed at the Somerset Riverview for a week . The room consisted of a Large open space with a king bed, a full kitchen and plenty of storage . The unit also has a washer/ dryer - which was awesome ! The breakfast was delicious consisting of a combination western/ local buffet . The swimming pool was a bonus too . The staff were great providing wonderful and immediate service . The location was perfect for us as it was in walking distance ( under 20 minutes ) to several attractions and 5 minutes to the subway . We were sad to leave .
