You can feel the soul of old China here. Great location facing the Li River. The staff are very helpful and friendly, you can tell they care about giving you the best service possible even when they are busy. The restaurant downstairs is also part of the hotel so you get priority seating if you decide to dine there. It is also walking distance from the dock, so you can walk straight to the hotel after your Guilin to Yangshuo Li river cruise.

My toilet didn't flush on the 3rd day, but I called the staff and they resolved it as soon as possible.

The location is perfect, right by the river with stunning views, although there was some road construction nearby (no night noise, and it’s beyond the hotel’s control). The hotel has beautiful Chinese character, amazing views, and a lovely one-person bathtub in the room. The staff went above and beyond (particularly this lady who unfortunately I forgot the name, apologies)—they were extremely helpful, assisted me with booking a sunrise tour to Xiangong Mountain, and provided great recommendations for other places. The hotel restaurant serves high-quality traditional local food and seems highly rated locally. At the end of my stay, they surprised me with a box of traditional tea as a gift. The tea is delicious; I’ve already tried it since returning home. All of this at a great price!

River View room is lovely and so nice to have your own balcony. Generous size room with a comfortable bed. The English speaking staff were so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Location is great, and for us, a bonus being away from the very busy West Street, but only being a few minutes walk.

As we extened our stay, we had to change rooms and were put in The Mountain View room. It is nice, but with the lowered ceiling over the tea ceremony spot, you couldn't really see the mountains that well. Tea ceremony seating looked lovely, but really missed a proper chair to sit on and we found it just awkward to get in and out off without hitting your head on the low beam (it was padded, thank goodness).

Superb location right across the Li River and just barely 500m to the bustling West Street. Hotel staff especially Ya Wen and Kelvin are very helpful plus kind. Kelvin helped detail my cycling trail and arranged for my Xianggong Hill sunrise hike (a must coz it's just up perhaps 300+ steps to a most beautiful sunrise). The hotel can help arrange day trips at very reasonable prices. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Mine had a tea nook overlooking the mountains. Oh....their restaurant serves the most yummilicious beer fish!! Normally busy so best reserve a table.

Location close to river and West St. Quiet, comfortable and clean room. Helpful and responsive staff who booked tours for us.

Shower water was either hot or cold. Could not get warm water. This is my 5th hotel in China on this trip. Didn’t have problem with shower in the other hotels. Since there were no complaints in other reviews I assumed this is a localised issue affecting this room. The hotel runs a restaurant on the ground floor and the smell of cooking permeates up to the 3rd floor common areas, but not in the bedroom. There’s no lift but the staff carried our luggage to and from the room.

The hotel staff was exceptionally kind, helpful, and spoke excellent English. Upon our arrival, the receptionist informed us about the various tours and services the hotel offers, such as reserving a table at their popular and often fully booked restaurant. When we departed, the receptionist kindly arranged a taxi for us, which was particularly helpful given how scarce they are in Yangshuo. Overall, the staff provided outstanding recommendations and valuable advice throughout our stay!

Nothing, everything was great!

This is a small, tiny hotel situated over a (quiet) restaurant and very close to the shore of Li river, in the town of Yangshuo. The lobby is simple and rooms are located upstairs. The room we had was comfortable, with very clean beds and bathroom (very nice shower !). People at the lobby were not very fluent in English, but we could understand each other anyway. Li river flows just outside the hotel. Very beautiful view from the shore. At sunset you will find traditional fishermen boats with cormorans, and young girls wearing traditional costumes posing for photographs. They replace the old fishermen with cone hat and long beard and moustaches, who probably do not exist anymore. Good price per view and stay.

The hotel entrance is shared with the restaurant, but this is a minor remark. Stairs without lift.

Everything ! The location was perfect , on a quiet street across from the river but only a short walk to the main streets. The meals at the restaurant were delicious and cheap. Kevin and the rest of the staff at the front desk were outstanding! They organised a number of activities for us, check in was easy and they organised a taxi to the train station . Above all they always greeted us with a smile and they wanted us to have the best stay possible. The rooms were very comfortable and we loved the balcony. We wouldn’t hesitate to return here

The highlight of our room was the beautiful bay window. We spent many cozy hours curled up there, sipping Chinese tea and admiring the breathtaking mountain views. Even though it rained most of our stay in Yangshuo, the bay window turned our room into a cozy haven. We enjoyed watching the downpour roll down the mountains while sipping tea. Thankfully, the hotel's restaurant saved the day with delicious meals - we highly recommend the beer fish! For lighter fare and sweet treats, the nearby Mingyuan Cafe was a perfect spot.

While the hotel itself was lovely, its location is a bit far from the action. It's a 10-15 minute walk to West Street, especially challenging in the rain.

The hotel is really well located. It's within walking distance of the pier if you are coming by boat, which you probably are if you're going to Yangshuo. Right by the pier, right by the river, and also fairly close to the centre, where all the shop and activities are. The hotel room was nice and comfy (the bed, in particular, was perfect for me), and the toilet super modern. One big plus is that the staff has been extremely helpful, helping us book activities in the area or a taxi to the train station at the end of our stay. They have been extremely polite and helpful.

The bathroom was fine and functional, but a little small. The hotel is right by the river, and you would see the river from the bedroom... but there are trees obscuring the view, so unless you're on the top floors, you can't see much of the river. While the vast majority of the staff has been extremely nice and helpful, one of them, in one instance, was rude to us. That's unfortunate, because it left a small stain an otherwise great experience.
