The location is less than 10 mins from Rapallo train station, 5 mins from the beach, bus to the beach is right in front of the hotel and easy access to Portofino buses and ferries. The staffs were a dream! They helped us navigating the places we wanted to visit and always has a smile on their faces. Very accomodating and the breakfast buffet were so good! We will definitely book here again.

Room is basic and also needed some renovation but didn't affect our stay still very comfortable. The door of the bathroom was hard to open and close. The wardrobe lock was also broken (we didn't mind cause we only stayed for 1 night).

I booked for my parents, they are over 70 y.o. and they lobed the location, it is one of the best. They enjoyed much the beach that was 5 mins walk away from the hotel. The stuff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. During reservation I asked for quiet room and they provided one that was looking to the garden (no view though).

Maybe the breakfast. It could be a bit more diverse.

Breakfast was very good with a nice assortment of pastries and excellent coffee. Room was relatively small but comfortable. It was nice to have a room that opened onto a terrace. The location was convenient to all that we wanted to see.

Parking was very bad. Yes, there is free parking, but it's on a fist come basis. I had to spend at least twenty minutes circling the area to finally find a spot which I didn't give up for two days. The shower was small.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. We arrived early and the staff were happy to store our luggage until we returned from our day trip to Portofino. I cannot stress how magical/friendly the staff were, it made our trip to Rapallo. The bed was big and comfortable, which after a day travelling/sightseeing was a welcome relief. The room was fairly sized, however the bathroom was so small you had to do a miniature persons dance to get yourself into the proper position. The plumbing was comical...it worked fine, but it was as old as the hills. It really did desperately need a refurbishment. The breakfast was phenomenal as was our receptionists welcome in the morning. We had to leave early in the morning and the hotel were obliging to start breakfast 15 mins early; enough time to enjoy breakfast and leave time to catch our train. I would highly recommend this hotel as we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

The hotel was actually difficult to find the main entrance. Bizarre as it seems, it's on the main street with a plain glass front entrance, but it is very poorly marked. We found it by accident, even though we had been looking at the hotel from the other side of the road moments before. We actually walked round the side of the building looking for the entrance! The hotel is an old building, but the decor, plumbing and facilities look very tired, though they do work effectively.

* Very close to the shoreline, a ton of restaurants, daily boat tours and castle; walking distance to cable car etc. * Rooms (including bathrooms) were big and easily accommodate our group. * Beds were comfortable; water was hot and pressure was good. * As requested, crib was provided in the room. Front office person, Laura went above and beyond.

* Breakfast was limited and started only at 8am. In a tourist location, it would be nice if started at 7 or 7.30, to eat and take the first train out. * May be a self-serve microwave to use after 8pm to warm up kids' milk, leftover food etc. would be nice. * The loading/unloading area in front of the hotel could be 'reserved' only for the hotel. Without it, it gets crowded and blocking traffic.

The staff were great - very friendly and helpful and always with a smile. The hotel was close to the sea a short 5 min walk away. The room was light and spacious and bed was very comfy. Breakfast was great with cereal meats cheese bread croissants and various cakes to go with the coffee fruit juices and water.

The room was showing signs of wear and tear and the doors/wall to the corridor weren’t very sound proofed. The room would have benefitted from a small fridge and kettle or coffee to be served at reception.

Close to train station and city center. Nice vintage building, kind and helpful staff, big room, old but vintage style. Comfortable bed. Nice Breakfast.

The bathroom looks like a train bathroom, it could use a renovation and some design changes. The Breakfast could introduce some eggs(boiled, scrambled, omelette) and vegetables. Not everyone likes to eat everyday panini, croissants and sweets on Breakfast, but in Italy this is the daily basis.

Very nice old hotel: close to the beach, extremely clean, the staff was amazing - they told us a story about the hotel past, and it is really sad that the hotel is not so gorgeous as it was before. But it is amazing that they are trying to keep its history. There is enough places to store your stuff in the room, shelves in the bathroom (rare thing to be honest), good breakfast

Good location close to train station and sea side. The personell working at the hotel is incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was typically Italian with lots of sweet pastries but also a selection of coffee, fruits and juices.

Very clairaudient rooms, possible to hear voices from neighboring rooms. If you can, ask for a room towards the backside, which is calmer because it’s not oriented towards the street.

The bedroom was very clean, with bedding and towel changes regularly. Breakfast was perfect and the staff were friendly and very helpful.

The bathroom was a little tired. A mirror, a fridge and kettle in the bedroom would be great additions. The area outside the breakfast room needs serious attention, the plants were dead and looked awful and the whole terrace needs some love.
