The staff was very friendly. We booked a superior room because we wanted the beautiful wiev. When we first arrived we where shown to another room but when we pointed this out the staff immidiately arranged for us to get the room we had booked. The hotel was just what we wanted - a bit old fashioned with the right "italian vibe", situated among the old italian villas. Nice breakfast with good coffee. A short walk to the beach on the next bay (that is much nicer then the Rapallo beach). We used this as a base for nice boat trips to Portofino and Cinque Terre.

The Rooftop terrace which can be accessed by all guests is amazing and offers a tree/roof top view. We sat out there for a beer in the evening and a coffee in the morning. The room is comfortable. The bathroom was very small, but clean. Location is great, easy walk from centre, train station and ferry. Good access for the walk to Portofino. Breakfast included is great. We booked this hotel last minute for one night. It was great and exceeded our expectations.

I would like to thank all the staff at the hotel for the excellent service. Reception, restaurant and housekeeping staff. The staff always responded positively to all requests. Rooms are very clean, every day room cleaning, towel change. Breakfasts are good. The location of the hotel is good. There are paid and free beaches. The free beach is a little farther away, but in walking distance. Only positive impressions of living in this hotel.

Angela from reception was amazing. She spoke very well english and she was smiling all the time. I booked a single room and when I arrived and saw how small it is the room, I was shocked and I asked Angela to help me change the room. So book for a double room with balcony or a room with terrace above the restaurant (on that terrace you have a sunbed + table with chairs). Hotel is super clean. In the room you have amenities, mini bar, air conditioning, TV. Dog friendly. Hotel has parking but if you don't want to pay for parking (15 euro/day), in front of the hotel there is a park and behind the park there is free parking. Great location, close to city center and a perfect choice if you plan to visit Portofino and SML. Breakfast is ok (no hot dishes). On the top floor there is a terrace and the view is amazing! The public beach is super close also. Next to the hotel you have gas station, supermarket, restaurants etc

Don't book for a single/ double small room. I paid for such room and it was so small that I cannot describe (the windows of the room opened onto a dusty old balcony) + the bathroom had old plumbing. No hot dishes for breakfast.

The location was perfect for what we wanted to do. Short walk to beaches, restaurants, shops and ferry boat launch to Portofino and Santa Margherita Ligure. Breakfast was plentiful and included a wide variety of items. Staff was helpful and kind. Has parking at a cost or street parking if you can find it. Staff parked and retrieved the car for us. The room was clean and yes, as I read in other reviews, it was small as was the bathroom but we have to understand it is an old building, built many years ago when standards were not the same as they are now. We spent most of our time outside of the hotel so as long as the room is clean, bed is comfortable and there is enough room for our luggage, we were good. Also agree that the walls are thin as you can hear noise from other rooms and outside but we had no problems sleeping. We were there during the week so not sure if streets are busier and louder on weekends. The terrace on the fifth floor was awesome. We would definitely return if ever in the area again. Side note: there is a mercato there on Thursday mornings, within walking distance of the hotel.

The hotel it's very well located beachfront and the promenade, and with a magnificent terrace, those are the highest points if you traveling to Rapallo and as a hub for visiting Portofino, Cinque terre etc. The rooms are being remodeling, I booked 2 rooms and one was with a spacious bathroom and double bed for my parents. The other room was 3 bed but the downside was the bathroom which shows aging and extremely small with a tall bathtub not suitable for elderly persons. I could pass this because overall the hotel location is superb, breakfast it's good. staff is amazing and super honest, they told us we were forgetting some values at check out. Will definitely stay here again because of great service and location.

Bathroom- I was told I had small room which I had no issue with. The big issue I had was the bathroom and in particular the bath - shower. It was neither,ie half the size of a normal bath but with a 45degree slop and an old fashioned hand held shower unit. It doesn’t work and in my opinion is VERY dangerous and is a risk for a potential accident

10 mins from train station - we had a balcony room which overlooked the road and views to the sea, harbour and mountains. Roof terrace views even better. Shutters kept room cool and dark -and the air con was very effective. Room recently refurbished - our bathroom was dated and small - but saw some others had been updated. Breakfast comprehensive self service. Safe in room not working.

The location of the hotel was excellent. The bus also stops by the hotel. the staff was very nice and friendly. We also used the laundry service.

The bathroom was really small. The bath was too small to have a shower. Breakfast limited choice of food but staff very frinedly.

I loved my stay at the Hotel Giulio Cesare. A spacious foyer and a bright welcome from Sabrina at the desk was very comforting. She was generous with her advice and instructions: this makes it easy to ask for future help. Breakfast was exceptional: clearly explained and a huge amount of choices.

Something I always hope to have when travelling is a small refrigerator, especially on 30deg. temps and you always need cold drinks. My other suggestion would be for some English channels on the television.
