Liked the numerous breakfast options - fresh fruit, peanut butter, soy and almond milk since we are vegetarians. Also liked the pool on the rooftop, the rooftop terrace where we met our group a few times. Loved the flavored water and drinks on arrival and the friendly, helpful staff everywhere- at the front desk, the breakfast staff and those taking care of the room. Also enjoyed the easy access walking to restaurants and lovely art and scenery in the surrounding neighborhood.

Would like the hot water temperature warmer in the shower if possible.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially Fabi and Luis (Alfonso) who we had many pleasant dealings with. The rooftop pool is also excellent, with lovely views of Bocagrande. The rooms were comfortable and were perfect for what we needed. The location in Getsemani is excellent, and the hotel is only a 5-6 minute walk from the entrance to the Old City.

The rooms were slightly smaller than anticipated, but overall didn't negatively affect our stay in anyway. The breakfast was average when compared with other hotels we stayed in during our trip to Colombia. One issue that we noticed is that birds are able to easily access the terrace where breakfast is held and can be seen on the tables and pecking at food that is laid out. I would suggest covers for all trays/platters in future!

All of the amenities at the Arsenal Hotel were excellent. The room had an interesting view and was very comfortable. Breakfast was superb. Perhaps you might get some decaffeinated tea (?) The waiters and waitresses were very helpful and polite. And the buffet was truly superior. The weekday concierge was resourceful and organized, but for some strange reason sent us to an island resort which was completely contrary to what we were looking for. We requested information about Isla Rosaria, but she directed us to a smaller island which had (as always) pounding music. Also, I wish we had visited Marbella beach.

The music at the swimming pool is blaring and invasive. Perhaps this is a problem in many places in Cartagena, but I don't understand why in such a lovely setting you wouldn't have soft background music, something conducive to the atmosphere. To be frank, we didn't use the pool because of the music.

Room was spacious, well lit, clean and comfortable. It has a safe, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, as well as a minibar/fridge and other essentials. There was never a wait for the elevator. The pool area is small but has a great view and was never crowded while we were there. There were no problems with seating. The pool was clean and the staff at the bar near the pool were very attentive. Poolside food (pulled pork nachos and a churizo dish) and drinks were all very good. Fabian at the front desk as well as the bellhop (?) Alfonso were both fantastic and took excellent care of us while we were there!

Cartagena is a noisy city. Late night concerts, bars, night clubs, taxi drivers honking for no reason, I can go on. Honestly I’m probably reaching a bit here but a little more/better sound-proofing would be my ask. Not sure how realistic that is but we had a few nights were it was just tough to sleep with all the noise outside. I wouldn’t let that influence your choice to stay in this hotel. That’s just Cartagena being Cartagena. Don’t go here for peace and quiet.

The front desk staff were so amazing!! they spoke excellent English and went above and beyond for us. They gave us early check in which was so nice and then late check out when we had to wait for an evening flight. The rooftop pool is a great area to chill and the food they serve is amazing. free breakfast was good, had everything you need and the staff are willing to get you anything else you like. location is perfect, a short walk to the buzz of old town but a few blocks removed so it’s not as loud as being within the walls would be.

The room we had was quite small, not enough floor space to go through our suitcases easily before catching a flight. But the rooms are emaculate and have everything you would need otherwise.

The Staff at this hotel are exceptional greeting us at every occasion with a smile and tending to all our needs. Good wifi all over the hotel. Great rooftop top pool and bar that look out onto the bay, the breakfast was always delicious with plenty of variety. The hotel is clean, the location is in the Getsemani district and a 5 minute walk from the old city wall. Spa services on site with massage and facials available.

The hot water is slow. There could be more hooks and shelves in the bathroom and in the bedroom to hang clothes or towels.

The hotel is a nice and cosy boutique hotel. It has an familiar atmosphere, the staff makes you gfeel like home. You feel welcome at every moment. Also the restaurant from the ground floor is fantastic.

There is no proper gym only a room with a walking machine and weights but not even a bench where to use the weights. There are some hidden costs while checking out, but not big deal, you just need to double check your expensens before paying them.

The location is great, near getsemani and the wall city. Breakfast is great, lots of options to eat, though service is a bit slow so plan accordingly. The pool has a nice view and nice to go to on a hot day.

The pool doesn't have tile and instead is contact paper like material that is fading which I found very odd. A day before flying out I asked how to get a covid test and they said it had to be scheduled a day before, so basically this was not an option for me. I then asked where I could go to get one and the answer was "google it" which I found to be extremely rude. I found much nicer and friendlier people at a store nearby who led me in the right direction to get my test. I ended up goin near the big Exito Supermarket and it was only 100COP for an antigen.

The location was perfect. Getsemani is a stunning neighborhood to stay in and so close to the old city. The staff at Arsenal was always helpful and kind. It was my birthday and they surprised me during breakfast with a happy birthday song and pastry. The hotel itself is worth it. It’s super clean, the rooms were really nice and spacious. Honestly, it exceeded my expectations.

The only cons are that the shower didn’t drain properly. The water would take a while to fully go down. The other is that it does take a long time for the hot water in the shower to warm up. However, it’s hot and these weren’t things that truly ruined our experience.

Rooms are very comfortable with extremely large and comfy beds. The staff is welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is quite good with many options. The swimming pool is probably one of the best in town.
