The location from the ferry and bus terminal made it easy for me to navigate. Especially being handicap, I was placed in a handicap room and had plenty of space to maneuver around without injuring myself on furniture and doors. I was pleasantly surprised. There is an elevator and the handicap room was right by elevator, fairly easy access for disabled person and they allowed me to check in upon arrival which for the disabled is a true blessing.

Never could get on the internet so had to tether from my phone in order to set up my travel plans for the next day. The Internet was non existent.

Hostel Sol is affiliated with the Kevka hotel next door. When Hostel closed for the season they made arrangements for us at the Hotel Kevka. Seamless...same price. Excellent accommodation. Room was clean and had obviously been updated. Good shower, hot water and amenities. The breakfast buffet was awesome. All sorts of choices and an attendant who was on top of everything.

There is a long set of stairs to the Hotel...hauling bags up it was challenging.

The Hostel Sol was everything that we wanted in a hotel. It is an easy 5-minute walk from the Dubrovnik ferry terminal and the main bus station. There is a small market nearby, a much larger market on the way to the bus station, and restaurants close by. Several city buses run to the old town. It is about a 10-12 minute ride and costs about 1.75 Euro each way. Now, about the hotel. It has undergone a complete renovation. The rooms are fairly large and colorfully decorated but are not full suites. The bathrooms are roomy and squeaky clean with plenty of hot water. Our room had a view of the bay, two safes, a card reader entry system, cable TV, WIFI, and AC. The check-in desk is staffed 24/7 and the employees are very helpful. You can purchase tokens from them (7 euro) to wash and dry a load of laundry.

Clean apartment, with comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Allowed us to leave bags which we awaited check in and ongoing travel plans. Appropriate price given the cost of stuff in Dubrovnik.

No possibility of early check in. States restaurant and bar however no food is available other than some chocolate bars and bar is beer or cola from a fridge. Kitchen facilities have a fridge, but no cups,plates, pans, cutlery etc so it is not usable at all. Please note that this accommodation is very convenient for the bus and ferry ports. This is not particularly convenient for the old town which is approx 45-60mins walk or a bus ride away (bus is pretty cheap however and runs every 15 mins or so).

Rooms were ready at the time of check in. For us the location was apt since we reached Dubrovnik in the evening and had to take a ferry to split the next morning. The ferry terminal is about 100 meters away which was very convenient. We were a family of 3 and got the studio on the top floor with a small terrace. We did not stay back for breakfast since we left early hence cannot comment. Very comfortable bed, room was neat and clean. Make sure you pick up glasses from the reception because we did not find any in our room.

No glasses in the room :) It is overlooking the harbor where cruise ships dock, so that might hamper the view in case your unlucky enough to have one parked right there when you arrive. Our stay was very short hence cannot find too many things to comment on.

The room was clean, large and comfortable, with a beautiful view on the new port. It was very quiet at night. Excellent restaurants, cafes and supermarkets in the neighbourhood. The facilities were basic, but good. A nice and relaxing stay, away from the old town hectic and crowds of tourists. At the same time, the historical centre is very easy to reach by bus. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a great value for money.

I wish the door of the room closed more easily. Also, the breakfast offered in a nearby hotel was not very good. Better to order it in a cafe. There are quite a few affordable and delicious options with good coffee.

I was moved from Hostel Sol to Hotel Petka, because in time when I was there the hostel was temporary closed. All my comments are for HOTEL PETKA, nearby Hostel SOL, just on 100 m. Breakfast was very good. Clean room. Nice sea (port) view. Staff very kind and helpful. Good free parking for hotel's guests. Not so far from old town if you like to walk.

It was very accessible and the nearest to the port and bus stations. It also offered the chance to have breakfast in their other hotel.

They offered laundry but the machine was programmed to 95 degrees and unfortunately the staff in duty did not know how to change the programming. They only offered to get it checked the next day. Unfortunately we had to leave the next day and check out was at 10am so therefore we had to push through with the programming of the laundry since we could not take it out anymore. The result was that some clothes got damaged.

Awesome place. Really clean and well maintained. Location was good and close to supermarket ( below the hostel)and restaurants and main bus station. Staff were really great ! So very helpful and informative. Special thanks to Katja ( what a lovely human being) They allowed us to leave bags in their reception/dining area bc we arrived early. Helped us with info and even let us use some masking tape for repacking of baggage. The cleaning staff were so nice as well. They have a common kitchen on the 2nd floor. Really nice. Fridge, sink, and kettle. Just wish they had more cutlery. But if you ask reception they are more than happy to help. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. Beds are very comfortable. Awesome stay !

All good. Just if you can need more cutlery , plates and cups in kitchen.

view was brilliant (we stayed in one of the private rooms with a sea view). staff were so friendly and approachable. location was excellent, next to the port and the bus station. even taxis to the old town are cheap and take no time at all. very easily reached from the airport as you can bypass the old town to get settled before you go and explore. beds are super comfortable and the hostel is solidly built, we did not hear anybody coming or going all night. wouldn’t consider a hotel when this is available, will be back! the value for money is outstanding
