I had no idea that the Botel was actually a former ferry, and thus docked on the sea. It was a pleasant surprise, like finding out you are going to be staying on the Queen Mary in Los Angeles, a stately ocean liner from Titanic days. This is of course much smaller and not as luxurious, but it gives the same fun feel of being on an ocean liner with decks and views over the sea and port holes for windows. It is smack dab in the center of town, moored on the riva main promenade, but I did not hear anything in my room, it was so quiet and peaceful. The bed was big and firm, very comfortable, and I slept very well. The water pressure in the shower was way better than mine at home in Hvar! The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating, and the breakfasts were great, and included in the extremely reasonable price. I really loved everything about this stay. Thank you to the wonderful staff! And also PS, it was extremely hot outside, but the air conditioning in my room was amazing and I was able to adjust it to a temperature that was absolutely ideal for me, so every time I walked in, I was greeted by refreshing, cool air that was just right. So critically important during a heat wave (more and more common all the time).

I personally would add more fruits and vegetables to the breakfast, but that's because I'm a vegetarian! Still, there were enough options for me to definitely have a hearty breakfast. But that is my only minor quibble.

Great location, in between two main bus stations (cross-border bus and city bus including airport bus), also closed to city centre. Very clean room, tap are shinny, this is so impressive, good WiFi, socket not next to bed but it's still close to. Excellent breakfast, it's shame can't have it in second morning as I have to catch up the airport bus, really want to have it

Poor sound-proof, can hear for everyone walking through the corridor (cuz the wooden material), and one more thing is that the upper deck (floor) is restaurant, starting from 07:00, everyone walk to restaurant, I can hear the sound which is a bit annoying

Great value for money. Hotel felt perfectly safe. Amazingly clean and well run. Nice a/c unit in room - a must for Croatia in August! Bed and pillows very comfortable. Will definitely stay again. Staying on a ship was something a bit different!

A couple of minor things. Shower leaked into the bathroom and even into the bedroom. Exercise room barbell lacked clips for holding the plates.

Great old ship.staff went out of their way to take care of me as one night I was the only customer ( January)

Each day a ventilator fan in the ceiling blows outside air into the room. Would normally not be a problem except it was zero degrees outside so room was always cold. Would not be a problem except when it is very cold outside

superb location with fantastic breakfast, really quirky to stay on an actual ship in the marina and to have a porthole was a novelty. the room was spotlessly clean, large and air conditioned. due to the shape of the ship and location of the bathroom it was difficult for us to take a shower as the pressure was not enough to push the water over the taps and to get your body wet they stuck in your front/back. still a fantastic experience and would certainly recommend.

parking was a nightmare - only 5 allocated spaces for such a large establishment, of the possible 100 or so in the marina not 1 became available for our entire 2 night stay. We had to park in the centre and walk which was not a big issue apart from not being able to keep an eye on our car.

A novel room, within a ships hold. Not for the claustrophobic, but quite cosy. A lovely bar on the top deck to relax and enjoy a cocktail or two. We were lucky the night we spent there as there was a popular band playing that night. A great night and we slept well. Breakfast provided a sufficient spread.

Parking. The information provided is sketchy. You must, after a while access a port entry gate and be lucky enough to find a parking spot.

Excellent located right in the city centre. The historical ferry boat spreads a special maritime atmosphere. Cabin rooms are relatively spacious: We were staying on deck D… just a half meter above sea level… with a wonderful view through the original bull eye (which can be opened) to the waterfront. Delicious breakfast with plenty of options. Restaurant in modern design to be recommended. Entire staff very friendly and helpful, especially Edisa and Saša at the front desk.

We liked everything! A hint for people with limited mobility: Between the various decks there are steep steps (no lift) due to the original character of the former ferry boat.

I stayed here once before and enjoyed sleeping on a boat. It’s fun and somehow you sleep a little better when you’re gently rocked. The breakfast buffet is good and extensive. Staff was friendly. It’s hard to beat the location.

The food wasn’t the best at dinner. I signed up early to get a 10% discount, but I wouldn’t do it again. The room on the boat is nothing fancy or large. It’s a basic no-frills room.

Room was comfortable ,if not a little small. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was good ,being very close to the old town The casle and the underground tunnel were good to see and explore

No complaints about the accommodation. We did find that things to see and do around the town was limited. Two days was enough time to spend in the town.

The location was perfect and the facilities onboard were great. The room was small and very basic, but that's all I wanted. Still, the shower was the best I'd used in a few days and the bed was really comfy. The breakfast was pretty impressive too. Clearly one of the key things is the novelty factor of staying onboard a boat and that definitely lived up to the expectations!

The only bad experience I had during my stay was the grumpy barmaid who wouldn't sell me a soft drink 15 mins before the bar was due to close... guess she was having a bad day!
