The breakfast, dinner and drinks are totally worth a visit if you cannot stay at this hotel. The poached eggs on salad, home made yogurt, the venison for dinner or the willingness of the barman to try new mixes and deliver on the spot were all amazing. The wines are also worth a try. Parking is easy and just outside the hotel. The staff are super friendly and more importantly, service minded and want you to enjoy your stay. We had to depart a day earlier than expected and the hotel were more than forthcoming in flexibility. On top of that we got a wonderful packed breakfast as we had to depart at 6am. I would totally go back to this place!

Beautiful hotel, rooms were gorgeous and the art in the 3 rooms we had was all different styles - 2 paintings and one custom wallpaper installation piece. The front desk provided suggestions for day trips as well as beach towels for us to use. Very convenient to walk to shops and bars as well as the ferry, sea organ, etc. About 20 min walk to Beach Kolovare. 10 min taxi ride from the bus station.

The garden cafe for breakfast was beautiful, but because it’s a functioning restaurant you can’t really sit there at other times throughout the day (and there isn’t any other outdoor space to sit and relax at the hotel). There is however a nice park with benches across the street!

Check in was super easy, Eddie helped a great deal with securing a place to put our car ( you know how difficult that can be in these historic old towns). The balcony was exceptional- It overlooks a quiet park adjacent to a church with a view of the tower. We stayed in a fully restored heritage building just across the park from the restaurant/ reception complex. The accommodations are a close walk to the awesome Sea-Organ art installation. All of old down town easily walkable. At check out- it was one of our "Slop" days that I hadn't planned out - The Boss( at Front desk) suggested an Itinerary that was really helpful. Breakfast was pleasant. If we are lucky enough to return to Zadar I will book here again.

I Always enjoy a small fridge in the room, I didn't find one.- The newly remodeled bathroom while striking, and this is minor - My wife mentioned must have been designed by a man as it was not conducive to her personal maintenance (hair and makeup) routine.

An outstanding boutique hotel in an excellent spot. Having stayed in Zadar several times, this is my favourite hotel. The receptionist/manager is a lovely lady, with a great sense of humour. She brightened up our day. The Booking.com hotel listing doesn't do this place just. Really nice inside, great walled garden/restaurant, smart rooms. Quirky decoration and art, plus plenty of history in this converted miltary hospital. My go to choice next time I'm in Zadar.

No lift that I was aware of.., but thats what you get when you have an old building. You can't have everything. They have ground floor rooms.

We had a truly lovely stay at this hotel. The building has a cosy and historical ambiance to it, and the rooms are very comfortable and modern. Having breakfast in the glasshouse restaurant was the icing on the cake, surrounded by a green garden. The location is perfect - close to everything you may need but also in a quieter part of the old town (although we did visit during October, so at low season). Last but not least, the employees were wonderful providing helpful service. We’ll for sure stay here again if we come back to Zadar.

Nothing to complain about! Perhaps worth noting is that our room had a loft with stairs leading up to it. This worked perfectly for us, but may not be suitable for those travelling with children, nor for some elderly people.

We travelled out to Zadar and there were many things we loved about this hotel, location is fantastic , the design of the hotel is lovely ( and very clean) , food is great and we had the inclusive breakfast and also had dinner there too. It really is a family run environment. We mainly dealt with Elena who really did everything to make our trip memorable, no request too much and lots of help and guidance as to where to go and what to do. We had the easiest car rental ever , again through the hotel, were we had 'Filip the Fiat 500 convertible' for a trip out to Split.... honestly so simple and trouble free. So on closing highly recommend the hotel, especially the staff and especially Elena & whatever you do , dont miss the sunset. The Scotsman & The Dane . 10/10

Location was amazing. We rented a car and they were able to accommodate us with parking for a small fee. Room was large very comfortable. Staff was very nice! Hotel was beautiful with a cute garden dinner drink area. 100 percent recommend. Had everything we needed and very close to the sea organ and zadar old town very walkable so essentially close to everything

The hotel was perfectly located in the Old Town - the room was clean and comfortable- we had dinner at the restaurant that was superb - breakfast was great as well

Through no fault of the hotel the aircon wasn’t working and that made sleeping very uncomfortable in this heat - fans would have been a good idea - the private parking was actually on the street which was a little risky - the small courtyard of the restaurant should be non smoking while people are fine dining

The room was lovely (especially the bathroom) - it had a smart TV and it was well decorated. We enjoyed the restaurant with the secret garden. The breakfast was very good too. The hotel is really beautiful and the location is perfect - you can easily access the shops, restaurants as well as the marina. The staff were mostly friendly.

The mattress gave us back pain after 2-3 nights.

Beautiful Room in separate building, very comfortable, clean and finished to a high standard. Great location, quiet but close to everything/old town and waterfront. Delicious breakfast, helpful and humerous host on reception, friendly cleaning staff. Small & intimate with a calm and artsy feel. A little on the pricey side but feels special.
