I especially liked the location in the main square of the city...I specifically requested a standard room overlooking the square and the cathedral. Please note: the " deluxe rooms" do not, apparently, look forward over the City Square and the cathedral at this hotel. If you want this, please ensure you add the request in your "Special Requests Box" to the hotel. Breakfast was in the large restaurant on the first floor and was very good. There was no toaster, which I thought was unusual for most hotel breakfasts these days but not a big issue for me. The room was comfortable and clean and thankfully, the cathedral bells did not chime through the night. The hotel is easily accessible by public transport from the railway station by tram....a 72 kc ticket can be bought on the tram that is valid for 24 hours....and Pilsen is not a large city.

The 2 lifts were out of action when I was there so I had to climb to the second floor. Since I am 68 and walk with a stick this was a minor problem for me. The hotel did inform me in advance...and I am sure the lifts will work again for many years once this scheduled upgrade is completed.Additionally, the 5th floor roof terrace was basically inaccessible to most people because of the lift maintenance.

A stylish hotel, perfectly situated on the beautiful Náměstí Republiky (Republic Square) with its main entrance around the corner. Had a very nice room and an excellent breakfast served in an airy, high-ceilinged dining room overlooking the square. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful although on my departure gave me incorrect information on where to catch a bus to Karlovy Vary. I think think this was probably not their fault but due to online misinformation. Sadly, with only one night in Pilsen, I did not get to visit the rooftop terrace bar which I am sure would have been a delight. I look forward to staying at Hotel Central again in the future!

Our room was super spacious, facing the main square. The view is gorgeous! It was not noisy in the evenings. Breakfast is nice. The public parking in the street is free of charge from Friday evening (7 p.m. or so) till Monday morning.

The hotel is rather dated and tired. Corridors are more vintage than the rooms. From the looks of it the room and the bathroom were redone in end-90s. Bear in mind that the hotel is right next to a church. Forget sleeping in at least on Saturday. At 7 in the morning you will be awake, on Sunday they have a bit more mercy and let you sleep until 9:30. The cars driving on cobble-stone under our window were loud.

The location is splendid and make sure you get a view (and a drink) at the rooftop bar. Room was spacious and clean, breakfast was very good and the selection was wide.

Both elevators didn't work due to repair that will take several weeks. They should've offered something - a discount or a free drink or whatever. Also they should offer a concierge service for people who need to carry a lot of luggage to 3rd/4th floor up the stairs. I don't know what coffee they use for breakfast (machine was good), but it didn't taste well.

Great hotel with parking at the rear, with the hotel being situated right in the town square.. so very central! Hotel is large, lots of space with good sized rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast we good, great selection of foods available in the morning... We enjoyed this alot! Restaurant on top floor serving food til late, small menu...Nice place to relax late evening for a drink and maybe a little food but food was basic. Great rooftop bar overlooking the beautiful Christmas market.

The 2nd night we could not sleep, being right in the centre the noise of young people smoking right outside this hotel and out room window was not good and we did not sleep we at all. Walking to our room the corridors smelt of smoke, it was disgusting (Staff smoking room I think it was) but it was very unpleasant. We had our beds made by house keeping, threw our sheets on the bed and left pillows and smaller pillows in a mess.... it was very strange for house keeping to make our bed only 50% and not finish.

The receptionist was very welcoming. The beds were very comfy. Our room had a lovely view onto the main square and cathedral. It was very quiet at night. The breakfast was amazing. We could store our luggage after checkout. We will definitely stay here again.

The hotel has a rooftop bar, and we were looking forward to having a drink there after dinner. Unfortunately, there was a notice on the lift on our return to say the bar had closed at 9 instead of 10.

Although the outside is perhaps unpromising, the room was a good size with an excellent view of the square. The bathroom, whilst a little dated was in good order and the shower was superb. The restaurant serves very good food but the highlight is undoubtedly the rooftop bar with great views and a vibrant atmosphere.

The lack of air conditioning was a little disappointing and some of the fittings need updating.

lift didn’t work and we had room in the 5 floor, wasn’t offered any compensations or like sorry , have a drink on us. Also I was ordering the taxi evening before with request for 3 people and 3 big suitcases. Sometimes stuff in the reception don’t listen what you are saying. Of course that taxi was too small. Should organise it myself without problem

The location was amazing, my room was directly looking to the church. Room was clean and well furnished. I had everything I needed in the room including some tea bags and coffee.

There was a homeless person in front of my room at the night. The security should be better to prevent it because it makes you feel insecure during the night. And the elevators were not working, I had to carry my luggage 2 floors.

The lift was out of order and I was on the 4th floor. It looked like they were refurbishing all the lobby entrances to the lifts and it looked like it was on going work. This wasn't mentioned on booking.com or by the hotel at the time of booking. Although they did give me free parking as an apology.
