The location could not have possibly been better. I had a view of the astronomical clock from my window, looking over the window box of geraniums. I was able to pop in and out of the hotel to lunch dinner all the historical sites, etc..

I can hardly say I didn’t like it, but the hotel has no elevator on the building I was in. No worries, though there was a porta. Hwy barely weight as much as my bag who carried it up and down the stairs for me. Plus if you’re going to prod to see the tourist sites and you don’t wanna do stairs, you should probably choose a different city. So the stairs in the hotel building comparison to the stairs of the historical sites.

The hotel itself is fabulous (particularly for the price and location). It's got an olde worldy feel, and the decor in the breakfast rooms, which overlook the famous clock tower, is lovely. The staff are very helpful, and the cleaners are fantastic!

It would've been nice to know that our bedroom was accessed through another part of the hotel...so, upstairs to reception, down the stairs again, outside, down to the other entrance and once inside it was 90 stairs up to our bedroom, no lift access. With luggage, AND a dodgy knee (which was made worse by the 90 steps - yes, we counted them).

location, grandeur, architecture

Location, the vibe inside the rooms keeping some of the traditional look but renovated the facilities. Large floor space as we got the unit outside of the hotel building, large fridge, washing machine cleaning powder available.

The portable air cooler wasn’t efficient. The windows in the living area would be better off with a vertical blind inside too. The steam ironer cable was damaged with some live wires exposed which needs immediate repair.

The room is large and attractive, as is the bathroom. Plenty of storage. Air conditioning excellent. Huge comfortable bed. Loved the Cafe Mozart on the premises. Right in front of the Astronomical Clock.

The electric sockets by the bed didn't work. There is no elevator.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered a good basic selection and was fresh and varied slightly each morning. Location was right in the middle of the action in the main square. It is a 20 minute walk from both main train and bus stations.

The hotel was initially difficult to locate through the restaurants and crowds and could do with better signage. The wifi failed to work on several occasions for hours at a time which was frustrating. The TV may have been connected to the wifi as it either did not work or reset itself midway through watching a program. The fan in the bathroom kept turning on and off all day and night. The water saving shower head was like needles. The bed creaked on one side with the slightest movement.

When we arrived we had found out the hotel had oversold our room which we had fully paid for. We had no problems as we were instantly compensated for with an apartment suit just to me and my partner. The apartment was a three-four minute walk from the hotel which was MUCH better as it was quieter. Additionally it had a 17th century ceiling and making it extra special for us :). The service provided by the gentle man and the two young boys were amazing. However when checking out we had a blonde lady who was a little strange, kept laughing when we asked to pay half in cash and half card (as we had no use for the cash) not sure why I am going to put it down to the language barrier. Wasn’t very pleased by her and the breakfast. Other than that I would return and would recommend. Location was 100/10. Right by the astronomical clock. Although this made it an extremely busy area so nights were loud.

The breakfast “buffet” was genuinely horrible for what you pay. Very little selection. I believe it was 399 koruna and there was very little to eat from.

There was a lot of rain that week and the room I reserved had a leak so they had to give me a different room for the 1st night of my 3 night stay. Was a bit of a bummer since I had reserved such a great room and only had 3 nights. But they were nice about it and gave me a bottle of Prosecco. The bell man was amazing. 18 year old guy who was so helpful. That dude rules.

The location is superb, right at the old town square. Very busy outside, but room was very quiet and kept the noise out mostly. Room was very big and nicely decorated. Bathroom was nice and big, with a separate bath and shower. Bed was spacious and very comfortable. Hotel responded quickly and well to our pre-stay questions and the staff's English was very good!

The organizational side of things in the hotel was hit and miss (more miss actually). Pre-booked flowers on arrival were not in the room (but quickly sorted). A friend of us ordered us a bottle of prosecco on our anniversary, which did not arrive. When we asked the next day, they apologized and sent us two bottles. However, we'd have preferred the one bottle on the right day..... It seems the reception staff wasn't on the ball, or their process is rubbish. Nothing major, but one could do without the hassle.

The location. Absolutely the best spot in the city. Our room was quirky. It'was comfortable, warm and quiet.. It was clean and the biggest bed and bathroom. The staff were lovely. The breakfast was continental with some warm dishes on offer.

It may be a Prague thing or the room we booked or a UK expectation. No facilities to make a cuppa. There was a minibar but tea/coffee making facilities would have been great. The room we had was in a separate building, no issues with that but to get to the room was like a labyrinth of lots of stairs and corridors. We were ok but if you have any physical issues just check first.
