This place is unbelievable! It’s like a 5 star. The staff are really lovely and the room is beautiful. The bed was better than what I have had at the Sofitel. It was so comfortable

The only thing I didn’t like and it was our fault really was that we left my husband’s insulin in the fridge. On realising we called the he hotel and the cleaners had thrown it away. I think it pays to check before throwing as mistakes such as leaving stuff behind do happen. Medication especially insulin is a life saver!

From the gates to my room, I was thoroughly impressed with how secure, clean & well presented everything was. The minimalism inside my studio was even better, everything you need at your fingertips. Customer service was top-notch 👌super welcoming & friendly. Knowing someone was up at the front desk to help in any way was absolute bliss.

TV in my studio was positioned in a place that made it awkward for us to watch, would've been excellent if it had a swivel but nonetheless still an amazing place for the price 😊

Beautiful and clean, spacious, good parking. Felt safe. The cleaning ladies was lovely, so was other working staff. The people on front desk could do with being bit more friendlier and maybe smile, but overall they were cordial. Loved the courtyard, it’s was perfect for my pups.

That I had to walk up the hill from where I parked my car to the front door, with all my bags, two dogs etc. lots of trips needed and opening doors and going up and down the lift/stairs each time was exhausting. Would have been great to have access to other doors on the ground floor so didn’t need to keep on going to reception.

Location. Spacious. Complete kitchen wares. Plenty of parking.

Would be great to have a handsoap in toilet or kitchen atleast. There are mini soap bar toiletries provided though but would be great to have something more tidy looking. I found the bathroom (shower room) quite smelly upon arrival, but it didn’t bother me that much. The odour was gone after couple of showers. The “hdmi” button remote of the TV did not work, I rang the reception for assistance but he said he was not very good with technologies, but he will leave a note on the desk. Rang the next night (we are always out the whole day) about the remote again, somebody arrived and have changed the remote and finally worked. No lifts (but Yes, it is mentioned in the booking description). Good thing we were in level1.

Everything! I loved how they give you a complimentary bag of snacks upon arrival as well as complimentary coffee/hot chocolate vouchers for the Cafe around the corner called Browne St which I had the best ever eggs benedict at. Excellent secure off street parking. 24hr manned front desk. Super modern design and very rooooooomy rooms with everything you could need. On site vending machine. Avondale train station right across the street.

Even though I loved having the sound of kids playing in the school right beside us, bouncing basketballs from 7am to 9am were quite annoying. Made worse by leaving our window open over night so next time I will close the window to drown out some of that noise before 9am.

The extra security is great - we felt very safe. Being right next to the railway tracks, we were grateful for the soundproofed windows. Loved the shower and the room is definitely roomy - separate toilet, dishwasher, big fridge-freezer, seating area - very spacious.

We didn't have an iron as I was attending my grand-daughter's 21st and couldn't be bothered going downstairs to ask for one. The set-up for a washing machine was there but obviously something yet to be installed. Another hotel that doesn't provide daily cleaning and replacing towels so we just made them last the two days.

Julie was fantastic on reception. Cannot say the same for the person who checked me in the first night I stayed. Loved the stay in the Studio on the ground floor. Easy access to both the street and carpark. Shower was great and so was the full kitchen. Short stroll to the shop and train. Easy access to city.

The blinds did not cover the entire windows, you could actually see right into the room when the lights were on. Had to call for the towels to be exchanged several times but no answer. Walked to reception to ask how to request change of towels and was advised to call. I advised I did try to call but no answer for roughly an hour. Informed at 11am that they would change them while I was out. Arrived back to apartment at midnight to wet towels on the floor. Luckily I had a personal towel to dry. Following day helped myself to the trolley in the hall way and advised reception. Never came to change towels again luckily I grabbed enough for the remaining three days. Minor issues though and would not deter me from booking here again

I really loved the size of the room, the furnishings were modern and comfortable. The view was fantastic we could see the whole of the waitakere ranges. The soundproofing was exceptional I did not hear any other guests. The shower had great pressure. I also liked how the toilet was in a separate room. The kitchen was equipped very nicely and the coffee was delicious. The staff at the front desk were friendly and welcoming, I will definitely be using roomie apartment hotel regularly. Thanks for a great stay.

The air conditioning was loud all night I had to wear earplugs I managed to sleep well actually but I wish I could have turned it off

All my family events were in West Auckland so to be in Avondale was very convenient. The Facilities are very modern and near new. Laundry was very handy. Beds super comfortable and the space in the rooms are massive for a family of 4. We also booked a single room for my son and his wife and child and they too enjoyed the space, the comfort and modern facilities. Nice hot showers too was a bonus for us Queenslanders having to brave the Auckland cold!

Only had free to air channels. Rooms are not ducted aircon. You only have one aircon right up the front of the room. So the heat or cold would take a little longer to get to the back and into rooms. Having to hop out of your vehicle to swipe your card to open main gate was a little annoying also.

Initially I was skeptical about the high rating given by guests. This was due to the very competitive pricing offered by the property and my perception was that it's too low to provide all the required amenities. Even if I convert it into my country's currency, I could never get this type of accommodation with all those facilities in a hotel environment at that price in my home country. The property was a new building and about 2 years in operation. And it still looks new in every sense like nothing was broken in my room, paint work all in tip top condition. Mine was studio type, at 2nd floor, with a nice view of the Avondale Race Course and in the far horizon is the Waitakere Range, if I'm not mistaken. The room was as per pictures in Booking.com. Good thing was that the toilet and shower cubicles were in 2 separate rooms, so nothing to fight for us as a couple. All the kitchen equipment works well and dishwasher detergent & dishwashing liquid could be requested from reception anytime. The bed was very comfortable and soft but maybe not to the liking for those requires hard mattress. The sofa was comfortable and you don't feel itchy lying on it. The smart TV came with many TV channels but there's no movies such as HBO or Netflix. Anyway you could use the Chromecast feature to watch movies from your smartphone. I suggest you scan the QR code to pair with the TV, as when I used the code thru the website Cast2TV, it didn't work. The room came with a split unit type air-conditioning with heating and cooling features. I came during autumn where it can be warm and then cold weather. By adjusting the air-conditioning unit to Auto mode and temperature at 24 deg C, it was very comfortable either day or night. What I like about this room was that there's a fresh air vent near the window ( I presume...) and in fact there's a switch (with speed control) near the phone to switch on a booster fan for the fresh air.

Everything was near perfect. There's no washing machine and dryer in the room (but there seemed to be a small room allocated for future installation of washing machine) and the property provided a common washing machine and dryer in the basement level. You could buy token for washing and drying plus detergent at NZD9. There's only 3 sets of washer and dryer available. For drying with large amount of clothing, I suggest do it twice to get perfect drying. And you might face challenges of other guests taking their own sweet time to collect their washing...Anyway if you have large amount of clothing and staying there for a longer time, you could go the laundrette in Avondale town, just besides the primary school and cheaper.
