I actually stayed here for two weeks in separate bookings. The location is very good for the most part, you are right next to great bars, restaurants and various shops. It's also a short walk to supermarkets as well as Auckland city centre. The staff were helpful and extremely friendly, especially Marco. The kitchen facilities were much better than many hostels I've been to. There were two separate kitchens which was great so if you wanted to cook and one kitchen was full, you could always try the other kitchen. Both kitchen's have plenty of food storage space, seating and good quality utensils to use. The bathroom facilities were also great. Plenty of loos and good quality showers all with a modern design. Perhaps most important of all aspects when you stay anywhere is, the bed. I stayed in a four person bunk bed room. I was on the lower bunk and my bed was extremely comfortable. Definitely one of the comfiest beds I've slept on in the last few months. There were some good shelves to organise your stuff as well and a nice big window to let in fresh air.

The Location can be a bit frustrating sometimes. Due to the many bars and restaurants, on a Friday and especially Saturday night it's hard to get a good sleep due to loud people and music. While the kitchen facilities are very good, there's only really enough space in both kitchens for two plug in induction hobs. This means there's only enough space for 1-2 people cooking at once meaning if the hostel was at a higher capacity, you might have to wait quite a while to cook. I was the only occupant in my room for the majority of the time I was there and I used up most of the plug sockets in the room so if it was a fully occupied room then there would be a shortage of plugs sockets.

Room decent size - Had nice storage spaces. Good kitchen and bathrooms

Room: No window and fan not working and a bit smelly BUT they offered room change but the other was bigger with more people in it so I elected to keep the room which was empty for a lot of my stay. Cleaning at times people are waking up and wanting to shower and cook - a little inconvenient

The attention of the reception manager I think his name is Pedro and a collaborator Aner was very comforting, when one arrives to a new country, they were always ready to help and they really made my stay easier in every way... procedures and other things that I thought would be much more complicated thanks to advice from them .... the truth is that they made me feel at home since my stay was long, the hostel was very well located was within walking distance of everything ... the rooms clean and comfortable.

You have to climb stairs with heavy suitcases and in my case I had 3, so it was cumbersome but it is because of the structure of the hostel that is on the 2nd and 3rd floor.

The staff was absolutely incredible. I was staying for 5 nights in a dormitory and they upgraded me for free to a room only to share with one person. I am so thankful for this! The hostel is super clean and has absolutely all the necessities. The location was very central!

K-Road (location) felt a bit unsafe at times, as it is one of the main roads of Auckland. The hostel itself was super safe and secured though!

The hostel is not far from Auckland CBD, so it is very practical. It is not so expensive too. The staff is very nice. Moreover, the room was good, with a comfortable bed, and the kitchen and bathroom were clean. I recommend it !

From my bedroom we could smell a lot the food from the restaurant bellow the hostel. The night it could be a bit noisy with the pub, but it was allright with earplugs. A detail but the hostel is on a top of a "hill", so it was a bit hard when I had to come from the bottom with my backpack. Nevertheless, I recommend it for the quality of the hostel, the staff, and the price.

It has a lovely kitchen where you can prepare your own food. Bus stop is just on the other side of the road. Near asian groceries and restaurants.

One of the window in Room 5 is always open. So you can hear all the noise from outside in the middle of the night. Make sure to pack an earplugs

Location and beds. They left key for me as no Reception after 3pm

No place to hang out, basic kitchen, no towels, no complimentary te or coffee. No plug by the bed. I’ve asked a lower bed and I’ve got an upper one in the middle of room. The 6bed female dorm was a mess

It’s brand new , but everything up to standard, as in kitchen clean, toilets, showers etc and rooms.

Nothing bothers me more to like really, though staff only on from 10.00hrs to 15.00hrs. There were times I did try to ring the main number given but no answer, though overall..things were met to the required standard, ie update emails, keys left, etc.
