Amazing location with great amenities like spa. Great rooms with comfortable beds. Our room card was not working so the manager gave us a free room upgrade with a balcony. The spa was a great treat. The breakfast buffet was amazing and staff were very nice. Would definitely recommend coming off season when there aren’t much people.

FIX YOUR VENDING MACHINES. Please don’t keep vending machines in the hotel which don’t work or jam and say out of service after taking our money and not give us our product. We asked the manager the vending machine took our money without product and they simply responded it’s not our responsibility. Then please remove or update these old vending machines as it quiet an inconvenience especially when the hotel staff don’t do anything about them. Word of suggestion is to not use the old vending machines in the lobby. Also please light up your lower level hallways, they look quite drab and in need of plenty of light.

The view over the lake was lovely and the balcony was very nice. The location is very central to all the attractions that Rotarua has to offer. The hotel is currently going through a needed refurbishment programme. Very nice relaxing restaurant, bar areas and a nice pool. A good menu in the restaurant and the food was exceptional. Good selection for breakfast. Nice friendly staff.

Our first room was very outdated and the smell of sulphur in the room made my wife feel sick. This is due to the high volcanic activity in the area, which I understand, but I do feel more should have been done to keep the rooms smelling fresher i.e. changing the filters in the air con units, air fresheners etc. The sulphur smell was just in our room and not outside when we were on the balcony so was obviously a long term issue with an outdated room. We did book a second night in the hotel but requested another room which had been newly refurbished and the sulphur smell was not present at all. The hotel was able to accommodate although the second room had no balcony or lake view as no rooms with these had been refurbished at the time of our stay.

Comfortable Beds, Clean, Location, Loved the heated swimming pool and hot tubs.

Hotel setting projected a spacious feel and was nicely furnished. The room was comfortable and had a good size bathroom, comfortable bed, a mini fridge. coffee and tea, kettle, ironing board, iron, and hairdryer. Sound proofing was good. The view of the lake was relaxing. There is a laundry room. We used the pool but not the gym. We also made use of the coffee and muffins stall near the front desk. This is convenient for guests who want to get an early start in sightseeing and do not want to spend time having a leisurely breakfast either in the hotel or having to locate a breakfast place outside the hotel. Moreover, the price of the coffee and muffins was decent. Staff were pleaseant and efficient.

Perhaps a USB outlet and one or two more power outlets would have been helpful. A few more toiletries too-I had forgotten conditioner and I don't think it was supplied, albeit shower caps were.

The hotel was great and perfect for myself and my two young boys to stay. We stayed in a superior queen room and it has lovely comfortable beds and really friendly and helpful staff at the hotel and it was in a great location. I paid for a room that included breakfast which was so handy when travelling with small children and there was also an indoor pool which the children loved.

The only thing was having to pay extra for a coffee. It wasn’t much money but I think that it should come with the breakfast package especially when I had organised for my package to include breakfast.

The accommodation was great. The rooms had been refurbished and were very comfortable and clean. Breakfast in the pool room was wonderful, and there was a great selection available.

Although we were placed in a lovely, refurbished room, we felt we were being sent to the dungeon. It was a long way from everything, or so it seemed. The information book was online only and because of this, we missed the map of where everything was. The next morning, we found we were only around the hall from the pool - missed that and had been looking forward to a swim. Next time maybe.

The best hotel we have ever stayed in, hands down. The most comfortable beds + pillows we have ever experienced away from home, I believe sleeping well makes all the difference and the comfort 100% exceeded my expectations, We are so happy with our stay. The room was spacious and well furnished along with a good sized bathroom. Staff were very lovely and friendly too. We have no complaints about our stay, we wished we booked an extra night! We will definitely be booking in at the Millennium Hotel Rotorua for all of our future stays, we come to Rotorua once a year for sporting tournaments. We are so pleased to have found our home away from home in the Millennium Hotel.

Check in and check out super easy and both ladies were lovely to deal with. Location is perfect! Groceries, restaurants, takeouts, Polynesian spa, plus mall all in walking distance. Our room was on level 1 and had a sliding door that went out to a huge grass area, where my kids loved to play and kick their ball around. They also enjoyed the pool, love that there was a shallow bit for my girl, heated and covered so was perfect even when it was raining. Loads of free parking onsite.

Need a room service menu in the room.. we didn’t know there was room service till very late on our last night 🙁 we would have taken full advantage of this had we known earlier ☺️

Location is very convenient. Close to town for eateries and Pak N Save for grocery in case you forget some essentials. Hotel room is clean. Pool is big. And comfortable pillows. I think we happened to be allocated a renovated room I reckon. Quite value for money though the hotel is already looking a bit tired.

Upon checking in the room, I can smell some saliva smell in the couch. But it went away after some time. Maybe best to open the window after cleaning. I felt like the bed is also a bit worn down where I felt like being sucked in when sleeping.

The indoor pool, that is why we changed hotels because of the weather for the next day. But if I knew of the cost I would have stayed at the previous hotel as they still had a heated pool just outside.

The cost of food and beverage was extremely high it cost more than the accommodation. We started at a hotel the night before where children dinned free with paying adults. $135 for breakfast is a bit extreme considering two children don't eat that much. And nor does most mums... very shocked at that price!!!!
