Great food every day.

I did not like the non-disclosure to the guest about children not being part of the payment for breakfast. It was written in the booking app that all guests, including the child is included in the price for breakfast. It did not say anything about paying for the child separately for breakfast

Topnotch service from all the staff from start to finish. Genuine warmth and attentive service. A hallmark that truly puts this property above and ahead in terms of hospitality. While the location is far from the main city center, its a peaceful retreat that provides the comfort you expect from a topnotch hotel. Their breakfast had a few suprises that you wont usually find in the usual breakfast buffet spread. Food at Blu Bar was good and their signature Tiramisu was unforgettable.

The room we stayed at showed how old the rpoperty is. While efforts have been made to update the rpom to more moderm standards, a few flaws were evident such as the lack of a bidet, tub drain not closing properly and the not so spotless windows which is such a shame particularly if you are booking a seaview room.

Highly Recommended for Stop-over City break: Marco Polo Cebu is just like a favourite Aunty, it doesn’t matter how long it has been since you last visited you receive a warm welcome and a feeling of being part of the family. The best buffet breakfast of any hotel visited in Cebu City, the Chefs and waiting staff have mastered the difficult science and demanding art of providing the same excellence of presentation be it 6am or 10am. Décor is perhaps a little dated for some tastes, but it simply adds to the charm. Rooms, swimming pool and eating areas are well maintained and spotlessly clean.

Marco Polo is perhaps just a little difficult to get to and from considering the traffic in down town Cebu

We stayed for 3weeks and we had a wonderful time. Though the hotel was bit old in a sense that it’s been too long in business. The hotel was clean and well maintained from the rooms, lobby bar and pool. The property had given attention to all areas of the hotel including the garden outside may not be not significant to others but salute to the management how every morning someone is always cleaning the garden and taking care of the plants. The food and breakfast options were excellent. Above all these the staff really made a difference in our stay. From the security, housekeeping, waitresses in the lobby and waiters in the restaurant who always greet us with a smile. Joe in the restaurant always remember how we want our coffee made, and how they remember our names made us felt like home.

I have always wanted to stay at this place.. my partner has stayed several times.. Staff are very friendly spoke with Max the hotel manager he was happy to have a chat.. Food was great Pool was beautiful Very clean and tidy.. All in all the hotel is very nice we will stay there again Thank you.. Jason s Sydney Australia 🇦🇺

Location.. Breakfast not a lot for westerners more for Chinese and locals. Staff take forever to replace the food for breakfast they need to be more observant a lot empty for a long time.. I got pancakes no jams or sauces all empty went by 15 min later and all still empty.. But food was nice if you could get it.

On the whole our 9 day stay was excellent, the breakfast buffets were second to none(free with our deal), the staff were wonderful and often went out of their way to see we were happy in our stay. We did enjoy the Christmas meals and the visit by Mr and Mrs Santa gave our young daughter a big thrill. As our stay went over New Years Eve the fireworks provided by the hotel were spectacular when viewed from the hotel windows along with the rest of the city's contribution.

Only had one real problem with our room and that was the air con controller was broken and stuck on the coldest temperature so to keep our room at a nice comfortable temperature we had to keep turning it off then back on when it got too warm.

The hotel was amazing. The location was great. While it was not close to shopping or attractions, it was an easy cab ride into the shopping and centre of Cebu City. The rooms are large and clean the water pressure was great and the staff couldn't do enough for you. The pool was fantastic. The included buffet breakfast was a great way to start the day with a wide selection catering to all tastes. It's certainly on the stay again list. The hotel ATM only gave out ₱1,000 PHP notes. The main reception was able to break these down for us into smaller notes.

The beds are slightly to firm for my liking. After staying in a few different hotels on the trip, I think it's the norm for the Philippines. As this is a large hotel I would like to see international power points. We went into Mr DIY in Cebu and found an international power adaptor for ₱39 PHP. This was a great find and certainly on my list for future countries.

Room and facilities

I understand that when i booked at booking.com the price i paid for includes free breakfast for both reservation. However, when we are already about to take breakfast i was informed that breakfast is not included in our booking. I immediately called to the lobby and was advised that maybe the system is not updated yet . Duh, we paid such expensive amount for 2 rooms reservation yet the inclusion is just for posting and once you already there it's not applicable? I am very frustrated and i hope i could have booked to a cheaper price.

We enjoyed everything except some aspects of the breakfast. In other Marco Polos, the staff don't wait for the guests to request for hot beverages but one breakfast, my dad had to chase the waiter to ask for coffee. Understandable if the buffet was full but the staff on duty was more than enough to accommodate everybody, The lettuce served on the buffet were obviously old (brownish, aged in the fridge) and was probably used for the dinner buffet the night before.

This place, this hotel, the staff, my heart is exploding with gratitude and happiness over how we've been treated. Robert in main pool bar (my god what a man!!! The customer service, absolutely out of this world!!!!!!!!!) Jovi in Lobby (organised the best and most memorable Bohol experience for us, so considerate of our safety during this) and Kaye in pool bar (everyone was amazing, just these 3 really stood out for us) could not thank them enough for the incredible customer service we have experienced, I've never felt so welcomed in my life. My face literally hurts from smiling. The kindness and attentiveness is beyond what I've ever had. Would 100% come back. COME HERE IF YOURE IN CEBU!!!!!!! You will not be disappointed. And of course the food is phenomenonal on top of all the rest. Just, thank you from the bottom of our heart Marco polo cebu!!!! Best holiday of my life, so sad to leave these people!
