booked a superior room, really big and clean.. staff are friendly and helpful. swimming, sauna and steam room were great to use.

had a few issues with the lift.. was on level two.. but the lift wouldn’t go to that level as there was malfunction with the lift. so had to take stairs. breakfast was a slight disappointment. staff were really slow at re-filling the buffet trays. breakfast was till 11am I went at 10 and they had no bread, juice, Croissant’s, milk and lastly no Vegetarian sausages??? i had to ask several times please can we get some bread.. by the time the staff came with the juice or bred the food on my plate is gone cold. we still had an hour till breakfast was over but the food is coming out from the kitchen in small portions.. seriously.. all staff had to do is fill it to the top as the queue kept getting longer and longer for the basics.

Room 209. -Disability aids in room excellent for me with mobility issues, including raised toilet seat, grab bars in bathroom (excellent). Beautifully clean. Overall very happy (please see minor comments below).

Room 209 - wardrobe light is constantly on, which contributes to the room being hot, so that air conditioning has to be on high constantly to sleep. bad for climate change. - please fix (I reported this 6 months ago). Bar fridge overheats as has been fixed too close to the back of the unit before I could pull it out a little and it cooled both the fridge and the room properly - now it contributes to overheating the room, & air conditioning on constantly to sleep. Bad for climate change, & wasteful costs for you. You have installed plastic bottles in bathroom - if refillable, then good (less plastic overall), but if replaced then BAD - our planet needs LESS plastic.

Great room and staff! We made a trip for our anniversary and from check in through to a little surprise in the room, everything was top notch! We also had parking included in their secure facility and also were able to use the swimming pool and sauna/steam which was an additional bonus!

The location is a bit quiet and in an area surrounded by offices but was actually a bit of a positive too as it was quiet and away from the main town. I wish the sauna and steam were a bit bigger but could not complain when it was quiet. The pillows were slightly uncomfortable also for myself and the mrs.

VERY LITTLE INFO ON ROOM SERVICE, DRINKS FRIDGE, EXIT FROM HOTEL AT 05-00 AM, I LEFT EARLY TO BEAT B'HM TRAFFIC, RECEPTION GUY HAD GONE? MAYBE BATHROOM?? I COULD NOT GET OUT, TO THE CAR PARK / NO SIGNAGE DID NOT WANT TO EXIT THROUGH LARGE GLASS DOORS, IN CASE I COULD NOT GET BACK IN, 10 MINUTES LATER THE RECEPTION GENT RETURNED, I HAD TAKE TO "CALLING THE HOTEL" FROM A RECEPTION PHONE, THEN HE RETURNED, ENJOYED THE STAY, HOWEVER A LITTLE MORE "INTERNAL" INFO IS NECESSARY, I AM FORMER USA EMPLOYEE OF THE GROUP, HOUSEKEEPING NEED TO CHECK THE "BATHROOM PLUGS" AS THEY ARE PUSH / PULL THEY GET NASTY RESIDUAL "UNDERNEATH" HAD THIS MANY STAYS IN USA, AND MY UK HOSPITAL, WHERE THE HOUSE DIRECTOR WAS "HORRIFIED", APPARENTLY MUCH MORE IMPORTANT IN A HOSPITAL !!!! SO 95% THIS TIME. mjb

Lovely big bed and breakfast very good.

We booked this hotel in error as we had a function that evening in Caversham and had intended to book Crown Plaza at Caversham. We were told by Crown Plaza that we were unable to cancel this room at Reading East and would be charged the full rate, even though Booking.com had told us by phone that the cancellation fee would be waived. We were therefore unable to attend our function without taking a taxi; as there was a train strike. We were getting conflicting messages from both sides and therefore we didn’t think this situation was handled very well at all.

It was clean and modern and the lobby was very attractive. Our mattresses were comfortable and the bathroom facilities were good. Fridge in room was useful. The room and bathroom looked nice and were clean.

For the price we paid we felt like the room could have been more spacious (the twin beds were nearly on top of each other) the pillows could have been more comfortable (I got a firm one and a slightly lumpy one and my brother got two firm ones) and some kind of breakfast should have been included (if it’s an à la carte why not give us some kind of voucher towards it?)

it was near to visiting family who live in that area and also my Step Son who was over from Australia . The hotel accommodated all my request for a big bed and walk in shower as I have two knee replacements in less than 5 months. Also my Step Son and family were able to join us for dinner on the Friday night and for Breakfast on Sunday morning all Staff were very attentive at all times and especially with my little granddaughter it gave me a most happy experience and would certainly look to book again.

I loved that the decor of the venue. The surrounding environment was very calm and quite but also well located to allow travel to Reading for when we wanted to go out shopping or for meals. The facilities were great! Really enjoyed the spa!

I was not aware that I could order outside of the breakfast buffet because this was not communicated to us. We were 2 people staying for 3 nights but our room originally had no shower gel. We were given one tiny bottle when we asked and encouraged to get more from the housekeeper. However, when we asked we just did not receive any more bottles. Luckily there was a local Asda we were able to drive to purchase shower gel

The Double room was big and very clean, especially for UK hotels standards. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, great food and lot of variety. There is a free to use swimming pool with complimentary steam room and sauna, as well as a small gym available on site. The bed is also spacious and comfortable, and the room comes with all the amenities you would expect. It is also very easy to reach it from London or Reading via train, with a train station at 3 minutes walking distance from the Hotel!

I was expecting more from the "SPA" services, as there was no jacuzzi for example or any other kind of hydro massage , the swimming pool is very basic. We were supposed to check in at 3 PM, arrived late at 3.30 but they told us the room was not going to be ready until at least 4 PM, which was quite odd. The most annoying thing was the really difficult mirroring functionality of the Samsung TV which, although a new model, was not compatible with my Samsung S21 smartphone, and no complimentary Netflix is available in the room.

Great location close to both Bracknell and Reading Town centre. Good facilities, my partner enjoyed the gym and said the equipment was good and the gym wasn’t very busy. The pool was nice a decent size and had plenty of chairs and day beds for guests. The hotel itself was very clean and looked new or refurbished. All in all a good stay.

Only gripe about staff is no acknowledgement whilst waiting to be seated. On the first night my partner and I came down to the hotel restaurant for dinner. We stood at the entrance by the sign which stated that you wait to be seated. A number of staff walked by without any acknowledgement, we were not expecting them to seat us straight away but a little “we will be with you in a moment” is the bare minimum.
