January 2025

The room is very spacious. The hotel's location is in the town centre and all the shops are right in front of you. The railway station is just behind the hotel (approx 5 mins walk) and several Reading bus service line stops are in front/near the hotel.

I found the separation of the toilet and the shower a bit inconvenient as there is no water faucet in the toilet. Although the location of the hotel is in the town centre, only Reading buses and taxis are allowed to use the street in front of the hotel (uber car is not allowed to use the road, thus the dropoff point can be quite far).

Twin rooms booked. Decor fine. Beds large and comfortable. Nice pillows too! Hotel location excellent. We used the pool which was lovely. Good to be able to park on site. We had to check out early, so couldn't stay for breakfast.

Odd bathroom arrangement with a separate toilet, but no basin. Not a big deal and clearly a space issue. Just pointing it out. We thought that snacks and soft drinks in the reception area were overly expensive. Probably on a par with mini bar prices, but maybe lower them a bit as you're not having to restock a mini bar in bedrooms.

I thought the hotel was lovely. On the 10th floor I was unaffected by street noise

Directions to car park. Our SatNav took us to a location that was not the hotel. So as we came around the corner in busy traffic we finally see the hotel ahead and accidentally drove along the bus lane and probably ended up with a ticket. We literally could not find the car park, expecting it to be next to the hotel. The fact it was around the back of all the shops in a quiet service road made it tricky to find. Once we found it and parked in a tiny space the car was very secure behind a large gate.

I liked this Hotel a lot. It appears very modern. My room was nice and clean and quite spacious. The bathroom had both a shower and a separate bath. The staff were very helpful & friendly. Although I didn’t purchase anything it looked like they had huge vending machines opposite reception that appeared to sell alcohol & snacks. Possibly when the Bar is closed. I can’t confirm this but on reflection it seems to me to be a good idea. The location of the Hotel was great for The Face Bar if you are into going to Gigs. That was the purpose of my stay anyway.

The Parking is quite expensive if you are planning on driving. Also the spaces are extremely tight to manoeuvre into. When I arrived at my car to leave I couldn’t get into the care as a van parked next to me meant I couldn’t get in the door. Luckily the driver had left a note on his windscreen with his mobile number. It said to call him if you needed him to move his van. Not ideal, but it done the job after quite a wait for him to return.

Actual property was great, nothing to complaint about. Can recommend

Parking. Their parking is very small and they don’t have spaces for everyone. Hotel administration let me know about that. And then sent me a location of closest parking. It was very difficult to find the entry to this parking. Google maps were showing half way driving and half way walking. To parking!!!! Then I called the hotel. Asking where is the entry. They said they don’t know. As it was very late and I had a kid sleeping in the car I skied if I can drive to the hotel to leave suitcases and kid. But there was a bus line. And no normal line. But on the phone they said that I can drive there at night time. Apparently I paid I fine for the ride on this line. So if you’re not familiar with this area and you driving be careful

The location was perfect: the hotel was smack in the middle of the city centre yet there was no noise at all from our bedroom. Just 2 minutes walk from the train station, high street and Oracle shopping centre. Room was standard size with separate bath and shower facilities in the bathroom so that was awesome. Breakfast was superb with varied hot and cold options. The kids loved the pancake maker and endless supply of Nutella.

Toilet was also separate but we recommend installing a sink in there so one can wash their hand after use. No complimentary lotion or shower caps supplied.

The hotel receptionist Luke was efficient, thorough and to the point without much explanation on the part of the client. He was very professional in customers services and was quick to identify problems. The breakfast restaurant staff were friendly and courteous.

The hotel lifts were constantly in service, leaving only one available lift out of the three in use. Customers were using stair case most of the time. We were lucky to be in the 5th floor, not being too far up and were able to manage the staircase. Secondly, the hotel key card was not functioning well.

Facilities such as bar were great, very clean and presentable hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, great customer service. We did not get disturbed by noise.

Had to move to another room as the battery was low in the bedroom safe and therefore would not function. The fridge wasn't working, no smart tv, bathroom sink was not draining water properly. Light beside bed now working. Swimming pool had cold water. We booked this hotel because of the swimming pool for the family to enjoy but could not enjoy it due to water temperature. There was a man in the pool with a camera phone the entire time which made us feel uncomfortable. There were no hotel staff in the pool area. Sofa bed was uncomfortable.

Location of this hotel was within 5 minutes walking distance from the main Reading railway and Bus station. The heart of the town centre was only 2 or 3 minutes walking distance away. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom appeared to have had some recent refurbishment carried out. Breakfast was adequate for a 4 star hotel.

The bathroom was quite small for a 4 star hotel. The entrance door opened up within inches of the bed. There was a separate toilet which is quite useful. However, the space allocated for the toilet was so small that movement inside was difficult due to the fact the door opened into the toilet cubicle. No washbasin was installed so it was necessary to go into the bathroom. The room looked a bit tired but this was due to the state of flooring which was in need of replacement.

I had informed Daniel that although I was there for business, my partner was going to join me to celebrate our anniversary. Daniel and hotel staff surprised us with some cake which was a fabulous gesture. They also accommodated my partner whilst I went to the office until I was able to collect him for us to travel back to London. I remain humbled and grateful.

The parking was difficult to find, and when I called the hotel for support, I could not get through.
