Staff are such a strong point at Easy Hotel in Caversham. Iggy, Frank and the team are helpful and conscientous to a fault, staff always go the extra mile to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. I had made a change to my booking prior to arrival and made an error on this occasion - and Frank and Iggy sorted out the problem for me in no time.

This is no reflection on the staff, who are excellent, as I am aware this is Easy hotel policy. l believe all rooms should include a chair and a desk in their essential furniture - particularly in a disabled access room. As a disabled person, it is not always possible - and can exacerbate your pain or make your disability less easy to manage to be unable to sit upright in a supported position when at rest. Sitting on a bed and twisting your body to watch television is not disability friendly or accessible for many disabled people. In addition, as a physically disabled person, eating an evening meal on the bed can be tricky and one is always concerned about marking the linen - an additional cost to the hotel making this a costly 'economy', which makes little sense.

There is a staff member named Angelika, she is amazing! Very welcoming, kind, respectful and polite. She assisted me and my sister with everything and even advised us on the local restaurants where we could get some food. She made our stay comfortable and easy, which is what we needed. God bless her, she is an angel.

I disliked the fact that there is no kettle or iron in the rooms and I hated paying for parking which is £10 per night. That is alot of money especially after paying for the room. If I added the money for parking to the money of the room, I am sure I could get a better hotel with free parking.

As always, the staff were excellent - helpful however they could be - especially Ignazie on reception, the room was clean and bed comfortable.

Also as usual was the excess heat, unfortunately, which without individual room air conditioning was set for the whole hotel and was extremely hot in both my and my husband's opinion - with no window in the disabled access rooms it isn't even possible to get a breeze through a window which made it suffocating. As always, Ignazie very kindly found us an electric fan which took the edge off enough to make our stay bearable - but a good deal of money could be saved on overheads by reducing temperatures on the heating. Please consider revising this - it's really the only negative thing about our stay!

I liked Angelika. She is soooo helpful and goes out of her way to support as best she can. I believe she is an asset to the company. Frank (even though I called him Brian in my last review) is amazing too. I was extremely happy with my room and was able to see that some of my previous recommendations have been implemented, such as small things being fixed and given attention. Well done, team!

The coffee machine is often out of service and the paying for parking.

The reception staff member who checked me in was very helpful when i found the room too hot. He managed to override the a/c which was much too hot for me and set for the whole hotel, and to get the internal room fan blowing cold air. He also fetched me an electric fan in case i needed extra cooling. I have a medical condition which means I over heat very easily so this was really welcome and great customer service.

No windows but this is precisely as advertised and fully made up for by the accessibility additions, for me. Far too hot in the room. Not everybody likes to be overheated.

A compact room with a Freeview Tv, and a few orange accessories. The bed sheets and towels are white and the bed is a trendy wood effect. There is real air conditioning in the room, which is not very common in other hotels in this price range. Parking is also available, plus Reading rail station, is just a short walk way (using the Northern exit).

Some may find the room compact and it has no desk, nor cupboard. There is no kettle in the room, but there is a pay coffee machine at Reception.

Overall satisfactory stay. Room was clean. Was only there for 1 night so wasn't looking for anything fancy, so it was quite suitable for our needs. Staff was quite nice and available. Good value for money.

Room is quite small, no actual nightstand or closet...good if you only need to sleep, but wouldn't recommend for a prolonged stay. Couldn't get the bathroom fan to start (not sure it even had one); TV didn't receive some channels which was a shame. Very few parking spots available, otherwise you have to park in the street which can be a nuisance.

We booked an accessible room as I'd read that the rooms are tiny. Our room was plenty big enough. It was on tjr ground floor. Room was nice. Bed comfy. Staff lovely. Location excellent for us as we were going to the Casino which was about a 5 minute walk. Convenience shops and takeaways across the road from the hotel and a pub and cafe at the end of the road. We will definitely stay again.

The Room, Toilet/shower room was very clean and practical, maybe a little tight, but perfectly acceptable: bed was very comfortable and clean: could do with a chair, though not much space, and a couple of hangers. Otherwise room is very practical and worth the value.A
