This is a really beautiful hotel. They have done a great job with the decor, rooms and guest lounge. The location is fantastic—right in town, close to the Latin Quarter, waterfront, public transport and many shops and restaurants. The beds are very comfortable and the pillows real feather. There is an “honesty bar”, where you make your own drinks and charge them to your room. There’s a lovely outside courtyard where you can sit and enjoy the flowers and fountains. There is an elevator for the higher floors.

Drinks at the bar are the same price as going to a fancy bar where people make them for you. Haha. In-room tea and coffee supplies are not replenished, even when staying five nights. These are only minor quibbles. I had a very lovely stay.

A lovely and unique hotel. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Loved the main house/lobby area with the trust bar. Great locaiton for walking to various restaurants in town. Quiet area. Helpful with local restaurant recommendations. We visited in December but I am sure there is a lovely garden and patio area to enjoy the summer sunshine.

The check in area is upstairs. It would have been helpful to be advised (post a sign?) to leave luggage in the courtyard below before dragging it upstairs to only have to carry the luggage back down.

Bed was very comfy, the styling of reception, the breakfast room and courtyard, ease of car parking, breakfast was enjoyable, staff were all very helpful and we loved the original vintage cinema posters

We only stayed one night but thought it was quite pricey. In the early morning it was fairly noisy with cleaning trolleys coming and going outside but we understand that couldn't be helped. Bath was more practical than the shower.

Nice for a short stay in Aarhus. Received a very friendly and personal welcome on check in, and the hotel is a nice little charming oasis which is a short walk to the train station and all the sights in town.

It was a warm summer day and there was no air conditioning or fan. Probably not usually a problem in Denmark, and the owner noted it's a central hotel in a European city (though everywhere else on my stay did have aircon...). It meant it was a somewhat uncomfortable sleep, where I opened the window to the squawk of seagulls. Also, to access the hotel after hours you had to carry around a very large and bulky key, which I think could be a bit less obtrusive.

The location, friendly staff, and atmosphere. Great location with town centre eateries and bar starting at the doorstep. Still offering a feeling of seclusion in the garden. Lovely chats with staff members.

Noisy street below, could have easily been resolved with slightly better fit of window in frame, a bit of a smelly toilet. But, things were still clean and I am commenting on details

The room was lovely and comfortable and stylish, at the back of the hotel looking out over the pretty courtyard. the bar outside the front of the hotel was very noisy but we were not troubled at the back.

We hadn’t realised that breakfast was not included in the Booking.com price but was included if we booked direct, which obviously we hadn’t. We felt a bit cheated and the room was already a lot of money so we opted for no breakfast.

Enchanting piece of Provence in central Aarhus! Central location, easily accessible by foot from the railway station, and also almost next to a car rental agency. Entrance to the hotel and to our room (no 2) from the lovely garden, window view also to the garden. Spacious stylishly decorated room and spacious spotless bathroom. Gorgeous delicious breakfast, prepared and served separately to each customer, some items in the buffet. Lovely personnel!

Minor thing - no air conditioning, the room was quite warm during these warm summer days and nights, and a bit humid after using the shower.

Charming French style villa right near Aarhus Dow town; nice breakfast; self-serve wine and alcohol bar in reception.

A bit dark and creaky in the room; parking a bit pricey; staff was ok but pretty stony faced (we got a lecture about eating outside; was told to “read the paperwork” when we asked for the Wi-Fi code; no smiles or thank you’s in evidence from the front desk or restaurant crew). The room cleaner was the exception - very nice. We know Danes can be reserved but our hotel staff in Copenhagen and Odense were much more personable. These Aarhus folks didn’t seem to like their jobs.

Very friendly staff, private parking, and air conditioning in the room was greatly appreciated for the summer. Great location as well.

This is not the hotels fault, but maybe a heads up about the city sign sort of blocking the way into the parking area would be good for guests planning to park at the hotel. I was confused since I don't speak/read Danish and this is my first time to Denmark, I thought that courtyard area was blocked off to cars, but the girl working the front desk explained it to me when I checked in that if you have a purpose for driving your car in (like parking for the hotel), you can enter.

great location

the double bed was elevated about 3ft from the ground and hard up against a wall. On the open side there was a raised step to allow you to climb up onto the bed. on the closed side there was a box on the floor at the end of the bed which after shimmying down the length of the bed you used as a step to get down. if you got your feet onto the box in the middle it was fine but if not the box tilted. it was all a bit weird and off putting for such a nice room!!!
