Our stay at Punta Popy Boutique Hotel and Las Terrenas was our favourite in a 2 week trip to the Dominican Republic. The hotel is calm, charming and located a very short walk from the seafront (outside the centre of Las Terrenas, but this too is within easy walking distance). Everything is well organised, very tastefully decorated and clean. Jaume and Montse are attentive and helpful hosts, and prepare a delicious breakfast. When they are not around their supporting team are always on hand.

it’s a tranquil haven amidst all the happenings of Las Terrenas. a walking distance to the beach, the sweet hotel has only five rooms and we were lucky to book the last one available. Owned by husband and wife from Barcelona, it exudes sophistication and exceptional taste, from the room layout and decor to landscape and lighting. the home made breakfast made by the couple is a mini trip to Europe, with warm bread, home-made mango/papaya jam, freshly squeezed pineapple juice, excellent Dominican coffee and a simple but delicious omelette. Add the couple’s and their staff’s friendliness and attention to detail and you get the picture.

Our stay was without a doubt better than we expected! The proprietors are a delight and extremely helpful. Breakfast couldn’t have been better, the location quiet and perfectly situated, and the pool was a relief after a day on the beach. Highly recommended 🤗

This really felt like a family-ran hotel, the owners really care about the guests and take good care of the property. The rooms are minimalistic and clean. The garden is lovely with plenty of greens. There are lounge chairs in front of every room for those who prefer to be outside. They helped us with picking restaurants, finding taxis, etc. Really enjoyable stay, thank you!

The location is a bit removed from all the action of Las Terrenas, but not a big problem if you drive by yourself. Also need a car to go to the nice beach nearby.

The best possible accommodation in city ! There is no other way than staying in this Hotel if you prefer a pleasant stay with silence, privacy and special tips for your little tourie issues. Without any evaluation we would stay here again. As long and often as possible.

Absolutely nothing to complain.

Friendly owners, excellent breakfast, peaceful setting. My wife and I had a great stay. It's in a good location, you can walk to beaches, restaurants etc, but you can still get a good night's rest and enjoy the sounds of nature. We would definitely return.

We highly recommend this place. The owners and the staff are very friendly and helpful with everything. We felt like we were visiting our family. We got a lot of helpful Information about the area. The breakfast was really good, much better than in the other places we stayed. Everything is made with love and a lot of Passion. The room was very clean, modern, new, very functional and we enjoyed the outdoor shower (The also have an indoor one). Stay there. You won't regret it.

Nothing to say. It's a Short walk to the beach and to the restaurants but even at night that was no Problem

AMAZING PLACE! We stayed at Hotel Punta Popy for our honeymoon and couldn't be more happy about the choice we made. The rooms are exactly as the pictures show: Beautiful, cosy and well-equipped with a lovely decoration. When we arrived we even had fresh flowers in the room :-) The rooms are cleaned every day, also the towels are changed daily. The entire area is in a very well-kept and clean condition. A special mention to the owners, Montse and Jaume. They are wonderful people. Very friendly, helpful and smiling. During our stay we thought of them as friends and we could reach out to them with any question, knowing that they were going to do the best to make us feel right at home. They also gave us a lot of useful information about Las Terrenas and the area around. Their staff is also very kind and helpful. The breakfast was daily fresh prepared by Jaume and Montse - and was suuuuper delicious (especially the homemade marmalade, muffins and fresh pineapple juice)! The whole property is very idyllic and perfect for relaxing. It's a quiet, peaceful little place of earth with beautiful plants and flowers, a nice pool and a small bar with the best Mojitos on the island :-) Plus it's really safe (looked 24/7) and you'll always find someone from the staff there to help you. We liked that it's not directly at the beach but a few metres away so you don't hear the busy traffic. Note for kiteboarders: We went kiting at El Portillo, which is a nice flatwater spot you can reach within 10 minutes by guagua or motoconcho. All in all we highly recommend this place - it's a dream! Hotel itself was awesome. Hotel owners were there running the business and they were very sympathic and they know how to make you feel home and comfortable. The room was very clean and comfortable. I really like the private bath in the back yard which was great opportunity to take shower under the sky. the hotel was secure and location was very very good. The breakfast was very rich and delicious. If I go back, I would definitely prefer to stay there again. Special thanks to Ms. Ibelise who welcomed me and who prepared me a delicious pina colada :)

There should be some effort to prevent the bugs coming into the room as I was afraid of seeing a blackbeetle in my toilet and I had to call the hotel responsible in the middle of the night to remove it. This is not usual for everyone to see bugs around especially in the place that you will sleep. In such a comfortable place, this situation could be such annoying to keep your eyes open until dawn.
