The hotel is directly across from the complex of the Pyramids of Giza. They have a rooftop balcony from which you can see the pyramids in their entirety and watch the Light & Sound show for free. There are many shops in the area, but be careful when deciding where to shop. The guesthouse's kind owner gave me all the local information I needed. You've got enough food for breakfast to get you through the day. If you want to be in front of the Pyramids, I highly recommend this hotel.

The private pyramid tour I scheduled through the hotel is wonderful, too, with the exception of the guide's deception that we would be seeing a papyrus museum, a cartouche maker, and a real lotus/papyrus scent. In the end, these "STORES" (not museums) convinced me to buy items from them for an absurdly high price. *more details on my social media page

I liked how it overlooks the Pyramids of Giza and The Sphinx right in front of the property. I think all of their rooms faces the Pyramids because I stayed here twice and both had an incredible view. The stay includes breakfast from 7-9 AM. Check in at 13:00 and check out is 10:00. They provide laundry service: £20/piece and if given in the morning, you’ll get it back in the afternoon/evening. The rooms and private bathrooms are super comfortable, spacious, and clean. They provide the necessary toiletries like shampoo, body wash and soap. The staff are extremely nice and professional. The owner who lives in the premises is sweet, nice and respectful. She reminded me of my grandmother.

Nothing to complain about the property, but be prepared to be haggled if you stay specifically anywhere in Giza.

Guardian Guest house was our first accommodation in Egypt and we weren't sure what to expect. It turned out to be an excellent guest house. We got the dreaded room with the pillar but that did not detract from the view - the pyramids and the Spinx are right outside. The views are even better from the rooftop terrace. We watched the sound and light show from our room as we were too tired to go to the rooftop. The room itself was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. It was pretty quiet at night. WiFi worked well. Free water, tea and coffee are provided for guests at all times. We had to leave early and got breakfast boxes that contained a croissant, jams, cheese and some biscuits. We stored our bags for the day while exploring the pyramids and they were left in the stairwell but this was not a problem as the guesthouse itself is secure.

The bathroom was a little on the small side.

Everything about this property was fantastic, the brothers who run it are some of the nicest people I have met in Egypt, the view is probably the best view any hotel can have of the pyramids. The view is phenomenal. Honestly it can’t get better. The rooms face the pyramids and the sphinx. If you look at other hotels along the strip they face perpendicular to them and maybe on the balcony you’d be able to see them, but not from the room. If you want to wake up every morning to the pyramids and say goodnight to them book this hotel! The free breakfast is great, it’s not the best I’ve ever had, it could do with some more fruit, but it’s sufficient and the free water to fill up water bottles is a nice additional touch.

The only thing is maybe the area around it, it’s Egypt and it’s the pyramids so you can’t leave the hotel and go for a walk without people hassle long you. You probably don’t even want to go for a walk, as a man walking the area at night, I really didn’t feel that safe. The constant police presence helps though.

Guardian Guest House is located in a secure compound and is directly opposite the Pyramids. Their rooftop provides an amazing view of the Pyramids! Our room was basic, but the beds were comfortable and the in-room air conditioning was excellent given the outside heat. The hotel is run by a family. They were very caring and wanted to ensure we were comfortable during our stay. They also organized transport to and from the airport for a fee (US$35 each way) which was excellent. There's a police presence around the hotel, and there are restaurants including fast food options (Pizza Hut and KFC) within a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel. It's everything you need as a base for doing the Pyramids.

There is currently no WiFi at this hotel due to infrastructure works happening in the street. No big deal, as we had global roaming from our provider back in Australia.

Obviously the views from the Pyramids room were amazing. The rooftop is great too. The beds were very comfortable. It's a bit dated but if you go in knowing that then it's great. Unlimited coffee and tea. Breakfast was good but don't go too late or everything is gone. Reception was very helpful. They were there to help you with everything you needed and went above and beyond. ***They have airport transfer but confirm the airport transfer with them personally :)

Wifi doesn't work in the room. It works sometimes in the lobby depending on how many people are on it. Cannot bring any tea or coffee into the room. Not really anything against the hotel itself, but general knowledge that the location is good for 1 day at the Pyramids but other than that, there is really nothing to do in that area. Uncomfortable to walk outside with all of the vendors coming up to you and asking you to buy things. Not nice to watch/hear the sounds of the horses be whipped on the road outside your room :(

The locations is the best! The value for the money is well worth the putting up with the dogs barking throughout the night due the location. Just bring ear plugs, it's well worth this amazing view. Their driver Mohamad was extremely knowledgable and helpful.

Guardian Guest House is situated on a great location. In the morning, opening the curtains, we saw the piramids in the early morning sun, and looked straight in the eyes of the Great Sfinx, which was an amazing experience. The entrance to the Gizeh plateau is close, only at 30 meter distance of the entrance of the guesthouse. Mahmoud and his family are very nice. They take care for breakfast, and arrange for transfers from and to the airport, and taxis to places of interest, like Cairo or Saqqara. From the rooftop terrace guests can enjoy the sound and light-show on the Gizeh plateau in the evening, free of charge. Breakfast was served inside (buffet), but you could take up your breakfast to the rooftop terrace and enjoy it outside, looking at the piramides and the Great Sfinx. Every morning we got bottles of water at breakfast, and during the day we could make coffee or tea, free of charge in the little kitchen opposite our room. A great service!!! In the lively environment there are many restaurants and shops. We had a great time in Guardian Guest House, where we stayed during one week, and we highly recommend this hotel. John and Johanna, the Netherlands

Suggestion: some fruit might be added at breakfast, like bananas.

Location can’t be beat with a front row seat to the pyramids and sphinx. My room was comfortable and the AC worked perfectly. The rooftop terrace is a wonderful place to greet the day or watch the sunset. The front door to the property is usually locked and I appreciated the extra level of security. Breakfast was tasty and more than enough.

The rooftop terrace could benefit from serving light snacks in the evening. Surrounding businesses with terraces were offering that and it would be a nice added bonus. While I don’t need my room cleaned or bed made during my stay, I do appreciate having the garbage emptied and fresh towels. I emptied my trash can myself and I had to track down someone who gave me clean towels. Not necessarily a big deal but it was inconvenient when I had tours to get to and other things to do.

I stayed here for 2 days. If you prefer to stay near the Sphinx, this should be the place. It offers an incredible view from the balcony, and considering the prominent location, it’s worth the price. Basic room - is clean and spacious. The bathroom equipped with basic amenities. The entrance ticket is just right across the street. They serve a good breakfast, and a tea/coffee/water dispenser is available around the clock. For the sound and light show, i still prefer taking from Guardian Guest House angle, as the lighting from that angle does not cause reflections.

The downside of this place is that they do not have a restaurant on the balcony, so you can’t have dinner there.
