I was curious about capsule hotel, never been before. What is greatest bonus here, that most guests are adult solo travelers. So you don't have yelling children, noisy teenagers or half-drunk chaps here. It's quiet, it's clean, you can talk with other guests. And yet not like in regular hostel, you have 2 square meters of privacy. Which seems so small, but it is not. Location is fine as well. It's not in the town centre, still in 25 minutes you can get there by foot (or by public transport for sure, I just hadn't tried). Breakfast can be obtained in some nearby hotel recommended by Capsule hostel, but I found a pancake cafe just near the recomended hotel so I had a perfect breakfast there. There was zero staff at the moment of my stay, but everything was cleverly automatized, and I made a call and get info immediately, they even let my bring my bicycle inside, though it was dirty :).

The worst thing about capsule is that you can't regulate temperature inside it. Capsule has no 'real' air conditioning, it just vents into some air mechanicaly from outside the capsule, and somehow, though it was quite cool outside, still inside the capsule was too hot for me. So you can either sleep with open doors, but then you loose your privacy. Or you can sleep in uncomfortable conditions (which I did). And second bad thing was that the mattress was terribly worn, with a 'lowland' in the middle from many guests' bums and with suspicious stains. Was not expecting that in this "back to the future" hostel.

Simple and easy check in. Close to public transportation.

Ear plugs are provided for free. Thought the capsule door make some noise when opening, also the tram can be heard since it shakes a tiny bit the capsule and too many beeps on locking and unlocking the doors. Sound insolation could be better.

Looks like a spaceship

A lot was broken in my capsule, the TV remote didn't control the TV, the power outlet wasn't working and the USB outlet was too low powered so I couldn't really charge anything.

Everything is good for the value.

In the facilities kitchen is automatic food machine, where you can buy food in 24/7. If paying with card, machine charges automatically 4€ from it, be it 1€ item. I asked about it from staff if it's just a reservation made by machine and then bank. And i was told it takes time to charge back unused credit, about 3-4 days. Now it has been about almost a month, but it must have been most valuable Snickers bar for 4€ I've ever had. It's small amount, but still feel disappointed. Tho the machines food and utilities selection is good in general, I would label fast pour-over porridge packeges with information, as all the package info is in Estonian . It seemed the best healthy food to pick if you hurry for morning plane.

Location is good enough. I am a walker. 3 kilometres for me not a big distance to get to the Old Town or Virus Keskus. If you’re walking, it’s always straight on the main road. Then you have bus No.20 or No.5. Very easy excess. Capsule Hostel is very clean and quiet place.

The only one thing that made me very uncomfortable was, some men in the kitchen hanging out for hours. I think that kitchen is for eating, but everyone has their own habits. I also mentioned that, TV in the capsule doesn’t work on the arrival, nothing was done about it. I saw some people on YouTube saying same thing about it as well. Last night few men came back very drunk and loud and one of them was sleeping in the sitting area all night.

The capsules are quite spacious - compared to a "normal" hostel beds. The mattress and pillows were good as well. I had my privacy. It was quite and clean. You can easily lock your capsule, accessible via chip card. I have my own locker outside. There's a small but cozy common area and kitchen. It was indeed a unique experience sleeping in a capsule and i would definitely recommend this hostel!

I arrived Sunday afternoon and there were NO ONE. But check in was easy and you can do it all by yourself. They give you clear instructions via mail/booking. It went very smooth.

Cozy atmosphere and sci-fi look like flying in capsule to some other universe. Everything in the hostel is pure tech based environment. To be honest, this was the one of the best and different experience for solo travellers.

I don't like one part, that is heating system in the capsule is too high, even though hostel already equipped with heaters. I would suggest to place some cool air inside the capsule, it would make travellers to sleep better. Second part, I hear some noice and foot steps outside of the capsule, even though I plugged ear plug.

As far as hostels go, this was the most comfortable I’ve ever been to in terms of comfort. I had a great night’s sleep, it was very quiet and peaceful. Checking in was extremely simple and straight forward. This was my first time trying capsule accommodation and it was a very interesting experience.

A few things didn’t work. The TV in my room or the remote didn’t seem to work, the bidet in the bathroom also didn’t work, the hair dryer I first tried in the shower room also didn’t work. These were small details but a little irritating. The place felt a little overpriced for what it is. For the same price I can usually get a room in an apartment in Tallinn or an en-suite room in a building. It feels like a premium hostel with certainly premium pricing for a hostel which should be kept in mind.

It's a really good place to stay as an individual. The bed was very comfortable and very spacious. It was very private and the bathroom was clean and well maintained. The place is very high tech and codes/keycards are used to get into lockers, capsule, and into the building.

It can be a bit loud in the capsules as the plastic sides carry noise. The beeps on the keypads were loud throughout the night. May be useful to try to mute them if possible.

The idea and experience are very interesting, feeling futuristic. The capsule was clean, it has a screen to stream, two ventilation vents with temp sensor in the capsule. The room is chilled by an ac, vents in the capsule take the room chill and deliver it to you. Check-in was very simple. In my 2 nights I’ve never seen any staff here and I was a bit surprised by this. Storage space was also very enough for me. This place is one of not many places, that provides you with a pair of slippers, a comfortable one.

Mattress was a bit too thin (no more than 10 cm in height), thus it was a bit hard to sleep, if you prefer sleeping on a side, but surprisingly, no pain if you sleep on your back.
